Thais are no different to the younger generation in the western world, buy now pay later. My father taught me a hard less when I wanted to borrow £25 in 1965 to insure my first car, he simply said, "no I'm not going to lend you the money, if you can't afford it then don't have it and take my advice don't go around borrowing of friends or banks, work and save for what you want." I hated him for it but took his advice which has stood me in good stead to this day.

By coincidence I was discussing the problems of the borrowing habits of some Thai families going to money lenders or shall we say loan sharks and losing their land because they can't repay without borrowing more.

It was for the 15 months with multiple re-entry. Yes it appears he has different prices for different people, depending on their perceived financial status. I do it myself now so every cloud has a silver lining.

One rip off agent charged me 32,000 thb for this service and I had the funds. he incidentally is probably the best known agent in Pattaya excluding Paul King. What it did do was make me deal with immigration myself which is not as convenient but a darned sight cheaper.

No money for compensation, ok let the vehicle owners throw the rocks at him, he's so dumb he probably wouldn't feel any pain though.

Has the GoFundMe page been set up yet. If true does anyone have any sympathy......

It's one thing for someone to steal your card, but another to have the pin enabling them to withdraw money.
