Anyone want to provide cliff notes of the OP dribble ?
Mine would be more "jumping off a Cliff's Notes". He must be paid to write this desperate, embarrassing, childish rubbish. I usually ignore, but accidentally opened this.

Hello @sharecropper. Please see further advice on this page of GOV.UK on how to get a Consular letter from the Embassy in order to get the body release.
Excellent - thanks. So my wife just produces our marriage certificate and my will, under which she is sole executor, beneficiary and has sole authority to decide on my funeral arrangements and disposal of my remains?
Who does she send this all to/take it to at the Embassy?
And how long does this all usually take while I'm (probably expensively) lying on a slab in cold storage?
Thanks.

Having taken care of two deaths in the past 3 months the whole procedure can be a nightmare especially as one passed on the Thursday and one passed on the Friday so I had to wait until the following Tuesday and Wednesday to get the bodies released even though I was named as executor in both wills one was a Brit who came in on a Canadian passport the other a swede problem is the embassy of the deceased has to contact the next of Kin . When your dead you don’t know your dead you leave the problem for others .
Thanks. What did you have to do and\or who did you have to contact at the British Embassy (if anyone) in order to get the body released?

I read about these arrests last week and noticed no Thai coverage - until now. Perhaps the confusion could be cleared up if the REAL son stages a press conference - in Thailand.

This is the second recent police report that has mysteriously referred to the police's "special equipment." This time it made a p*ssed-up man run away from them for 2km. What is this magically fearsome equipment? I think we should be told. (Probably a taser...).

I think Biden is less dangerous that that idiot Trump, that's for sure. Instead of a revolution, you need a new crop of younger politicians who aren't uneducated morons, senile, fascists, secessionists or racists.

That cretin Trump didn't help by pulling the US out of the TPP on his first day. The damage that idiot did to US interests around the world was incalculable.

Aged 59, I had my left eye done at Samitivej Sri Racha Hospital a year ago. Cost me @ 40,000 baht. No complaints at all with the procedure and the result was fantastic. I had a mono focal lens fitted.
Although I might go to Jomtien Hospital if their pricing is so reasonable, if another one is needed, as it's 5 minutes away. For some reason i have just dismissed Jomtien Hospital as another ripoff Bangkok Pattaya Hospital, so I was interested to read the previous poster's comments on his op and reasonable price above.

Yesterday I had two friends - with NON-COVID medical issues, coincidentally seeking hospital beds in Bangkok in two public hospitals and one major international private hospital - and they couldn't not get one, as they are full. They were advised to go home and rest instead, and try again next week.
This indicates the real pressure on hospitals here - and I don't believe the government's figures for one minute.

If you take it out of context it might appear that way to you - my point went over your head.
Yeah - that Richard_Smith should WAKE UP!, do his own research, stop taking things out of context, stop letting things go over his head and generally intellectually sharpen up, so that he too can become a conspiracy-based genius, like so many others who think they're so clever, but who then spoil the illusion by immediately spouting embarrassingly childish rubbish.

I also note in other news on the site, in Bangkok, a Thai attacked a maskless foreigner in a public place. So those who think they are too clever by half and can smugly flout the pandemic rules in place here might be in for a painful surprise - and who can blame Thais when people come to their country then disrespect their health mandates?
I still think fines, jail and/or deportation should be the punishment applied to complacent, maskless idiots - sorry foreigners - in Bangkok's malls etc, not random beatings by angry Thais, however.

6 hours ago, mokwit said:Maybe they know masks don't really do anything - ignorant people think a normal surgical mask/cloth mask/underpants worn as a mask filters out the virus. Masks protect in 2 ways: by stopping droplets from the mouth* and protecting you by stopping you touching your nose or mouth with your fingers IF you are disciplined - the constant pulling down the mask and then re-seating makes it WORSE than not wearing one.
I do wish people who don't know what they don't know would refrain from trying to force their ignorance based views on others. The purpose of masks is so that the political class can pretend it is doing something/exert their control.
I wear one to comply even though I regard it as near useless.
*a medical professor told me it is normal to see people in operating theatres wearing them just over the mouth with the nose uncovered - this is acceptable as their function is not to filter out bacteria and viruses but to prevent droplets - which wearing them just over the mouth effectively does.
"I wear one to comply even though I regard it as near useless."
Great news - as foreigners should be doing here.
All the rest of your "I know better than you/wake up!/do your own research/"a medical professor told me"" diatribe may be safely ignored....

Good for you, I'm sure you've got something rational to justify that, yes?
Why waste rationality on dumb conspiracy theorists who'll believe any old rubbish they're fed if the Deep State, Dominon and JFK's ghost are pulling all secret the levers?

Just now, Liverpool Lou said:
1) In general, morons do not wear MAGA hats.
2) How is not wearing a mask in the presence of vaccinated people "endangering their health" anymore than wearing a mask?
3) Jail or deportation is not a necessary penalty, there are already substantial fines in place for offenders.
4) Maybe those demanding prison and deportation for that those who don't wear their masks "properly" should be jailed and deported also because I can guarantee that they, at some stage, have done exactly the same thing!
To save me from repeating myself, see the above reply. Follow the law or go home. It's not about what the barmy army think is the right thing to do in another country.

No need to convince anybody. it's the law here - certainly in public places, and as such should be respected.
There are 'many' laws in Thailand you couldn't convince me are right, but while I live in this country, I have to respect them and would have to accept the serious consequences of not doing so.
Perhaps that's what's needed here - the threat and likelihood of more serious consequences being dealt out to people who refuse to follow their health laws.

I’m happy to wear a mask in public places (all indoor places) - but there really is no need to wear a mask on a beach or in a wide open park etc... but walking down Sukhumvit road, of course wear a mask.
One of the laws is that we all have to wear a mask in our family car... we walk out of our house, into our car and have to put a mask on - This is just silly !!! - respect the law?... no not all of them.
But in my OP, I specifically limit this to malls, and by extension to other enclosed public spaces, where ALL Thais are wearing masks. Not villages, beaches, private cars etc etc.

It's almost like the OP may have started a fake thread for attention.
Lockdown boredom syndrome is real.
Duh.
People who refuse to respect the local health laws of a country they are guests in, in the middle of a global pandemic, should be deported. In their own country, they can get their tin hats and pitchforks out and protest against 5G, voting machines, masks or vaccines, or whatever current deluded rubbish they want to believe in.
But in this country, they should respect the law.

2 minutes ago, Liverpool Lou said:Absolutely. Perhaps he also demands that they wear helmets, also!
If a moron (wearing a MAGA hat or not) wants to splatter their brains all over the road, and the police don't care, that's up to them. If idiots refuse to wear masks in shopping malls and disrespect the hygiene laws of another country in the midst of a public health emergency, thereby endangering the health of all those around them, then they should be deported or jailed - or both.
