  1. I am due my yearly visit to the Immigration in Bangkok for the yearly Non O  visa in a couple of months

I am going to  use  the Marriage to a Thai 40000 baht a month  arrangement

my wife  is currently not very  mobile  and this could cause her a lot of inconvenience  getting her to the immigration here in Bangkok .

She is currently staying outside Bangkok  with the stepdaughter I am residing in Bangkok

My son who is a Thai citizen born in Thailand and now   working in Bangkok

was asking could he sponsor me if yes what paperwork would be required

any help  would be appreciated in answering  this  question

  2. Have received word from my Thai landlord  for me to fill in the TM30 confirmation of foreigner address

which he will sign plus provide the required  paperwork

which I will send to Immigration

looking at the TM30  Name address information to be filled in ect

    1.   Part 1   is that my name and current address

    2.  second part wish to notify the address  where Alien received permission to stay temporality in the Kingdom has stayed as   is that the owners ?

plus the on date  month year is that the when I first moved in about 5 years ago

or when I returned and entered the Kingdom from a visit to the UK last year

he then completes the form with his signature and   signs as Owner

     advice gratefully accepted

  3.  Hi  there,

need clarification on who completes the TM 30  and gives to the Immigration

I am renting a Condo for over 4 years here in Bangkok  no TM 30 as far as I can recall

renewed my Non O  last October at Chaengwattana  no TM30 mentioned

now reading people filling in the TM30 when getting their Non O visa

do I contact the Landlord and ask him if he has ever done the TM30 for me

or ask  him to complete the TM 30 and he submits it on my behalf ?

    regards

You may have missed the point.  ..."with out it I could not afford to pay the cost of my Cancer treatment" - at Bumrungrad I believe you said - A high priced private hospital.  Now had you received treatment at a government hospital, I contend you could have afforded the treatments out of pocket.  That is the recourse of those without premium insurance coverage as you had.  But- for whatever reason - those who have the coverage seem to always laud the fact.  Why?  Often we criticizes Thais for 'one-upping' there fellow citizens in a "I'm better off than you, so I'm better than you' sort of way.  That's all.  Why compared yourself to those who don't have what you have.  Again, "There but for the grace of God go I."  That keeps me humble, personally.  I have insurance and enough money to cover my expenses.  But I also am very aware that the wind of fate are fickle - one day you have; the next day you don't.  Things happen.  The day the tides of fortune turn against you - then what?

at the time I was diagnosed with Prostate cancer I was in a other hospital  getting treated for a kidney problem when they found out I had Prostate Cancer

I was recommended by the doctor there to go to Bumrungrad  who were the only hospital at the time doing HDR Brachytherapy in 2014

you seem to have a personal  problem with people having private insurance

  7. For the first time I have used the 90 day reporting in Bangkok  via EMS post

filled in the required TM 47  plus copies of my passport TM 6 and a copy of the Non O retirement visa plus the self addressed envelope

sent 15 days before due date to the Immigration in Chaengwattana complex

checked online that the letter had been received day after i posted

one week later i received back the completed receipt of notification plus new reporting date in March  and blank TM 47

will be using again in March very happy with the service provided

  8. As  I mentioned previously  when I was at the Chaeng wattana immigration office

getting my yearly retirement visa using the British Embassy Pension letter

was advised by the immigration lady to use the Bank option as married to a Thai  of the monthly transfer of 40,000 Baht for next Non O next year

now in process of getting  organized

looks like the bank options are now what's required

  9. when I was in the Immigration office in Chaeng Wattana a couple of weeks back with my Pension letter from the British Embassy was advised to use the banking system next time

now arranging  the 40000 baht monthly transfer from next month from the UK  plus the marriage certificate for the next Yearly  Non O

no problem as they will see the money In and out as spending here anyway

can fore see no big problems

just get the letter plus a print out of the transactions from the bank showing the money in every month

  10. Hi

best solution required here my  son has recently   obtained his Thai ID

He has a British Passport with the yearly Non O visa in

9 months rremaining he is also going to get a Thai passport thus not requiring the Non O

whats the best solution on not renewing the Non O or cancelling

leave the Country say to Laos and clear the visa

then using his Thai ID / Thai passport on return

or notify Immigration near the time new one not required

    Thankyou

If you are on a visa exempt entry a TM87 form is used. If on a entry from a tourist visa entry a TM86 change of visa status form is used.

You need at least 15 days remaining on your entry to do the application for a non immigrant visa.

yes I am on a 30 day visa exempt entry

just confirming they are not going to surprise me with other paperwork requirement's

    thankyou for the reply

  12. I am applying for the yearly Retirement Visa using the Pension letter from the British Embassy

Have read what is required will fill in the required information and send to the British Embassy

they then will send me back the letter confirming the Pensions meet the requirement for the retirement visa ( I take it the letter is in English ? )

besides the application form TM7  copies of passport, photos,  fee and confirmation of residence

    is anything else required

    thankyou

remain positive  not one for sitting in bars but enjoy a drink when out for a meal with the family

Never say Never  as to returning to ones Country of birth as one does not know what the future holds
