What happens to the house after 30 years?
There's a clue in the first sentence. So what does this have to do with this thread? I see nothing here relating to the thread. Off a bit are we not?
You should have stopped there.
The only reason a Farong has lost a house here is because they were stupid.
True you can not own land but you can own a house sitting on land that you have a 30 year lease on.
Can you leave a lease to your relatives in your home country? I.e outside thailand.

I was back at Rmpm today. They're great, a real gem that deserves our business. I tried the smoked pork chop today. It's got to be the best pork chop I've had in Europe or Thailand. I'll lay off the pork for a few days now but will be back at Rmpm ASAP.

I've been waiting to try livv's.+1
The best Ribs I have had in Thailand but you need a car to get to, they are on Soi Kao Talo.
The food looks great & the owner seems like a genuine guy with a passion for food. Hopefully I can make it over after songkran

Perhaps if they were encouraged to question things they might get some answers. How do all these accident happen when the PM has extra police and solders checking for drunk drivers and suspicious people. Every one getting extra pay but just sit on the side of the road and do not check but just sit!

The logic behind that is more believable than the intention to fight corruption & return happiness to the Thai peopleThai PM says women in skimpy dress are like unwrapped candy
I like candy too, and her sister...
What next???
Blame the coup on the last PM's skirt being too short...

Found this photo from this Thai media source:- http://www.dailynews.co.th/politics/391923Just been watching "Bringing happiness to the Thai people" show with Prayuth and he says women should dress properly and decently. He's being interviewed by a woman wearing a tidy outfit nothing revealing until the camera pans out at the end of the show. She's been sat directly in the eye line of the PM no table between them, in full view, wearing a mini shirt. A mini skirt, way above the knee. Did she part those legs? Who knows the camera was always above her waist line throughout the show until the panning out shot at the end. Was there a Sharon Stone "Sliver" type moment, only the PM could tell you. A mini skirt, disgusting and my 9 year old son was watching, he's in shock.
Far too much flesh on display. You can see her ankles

Your English is fine, it's obviously not your native tongue but is far better than any attempt I could make to communicate in another language

We need to get away from describing these wealthy individuals as elite. It does nothing but stroke their ego. Take them out of their comfort zone & there's nothing elite about them. They abuse the social & economic situation they find themselves in thanks to their questionable & unusual wealth. A petty criminal(in the grand scheme of things) would behave with a similar mindset I. E do as they please with little regard for the social consequences or rule of law. Let him start a football club in Europe if he's elite. After all that's what the thai model is based on and aspires to. My experience with thai businessmen & women in Europe is that they profit through the exploitation of their own people.

First amendment should be to make it treason for any future military coups. Play them at their own game.As long as the new Constitution can be amended by a democratically elected government then just get on with it. Any amnesty granted to themselves should be removed by the next democratically elected government. Seize their unusual wealth & strip them of their rank & lock them up to see if their attitudes adjust. Fair's fair
But the new constitution is being written to ensure that there will be no amendments that the "quality people" don't approve of. If a loophole is found and democratic amendments are somehow made, then the military will stage another coup and write another constitution.

It's hard to understand you clearly. English isn't your first language & then you post in a faint text.
what line? I have no lines. for me all simular .its You did draw the line. speaking oabout what the excuse Thai and not exuese foreigne..
If you can't view things as they are then where do you draw the line? Thais drive with kids on bikes & no helmets, let's copy them? Thais believe in a lot of supernatural & magic that is disproved by science & logic. Let's copy them & leave our brains in another country?
can be a man tries to join the Thai culture of his wife (girlfriend).Thais celebrate songkran as it's their cultural tradition. What's the excuse for the foreign morons? .If it wasn't a water fight & was a game of "tag, you're it" would foreigners still join in? It's moronic, childish & dangerous.
May be he good ( not as me) and try to follow thai wife(gf) thinks
.
PS
SO if foreigner do it "childish & dangerous."
If thai do it - "it's their cultural tradition"
Chauvinism?
Any thai that is dangerously throwing water is a moron. It's so far removed from the traditional act it's not even similar.
The original concept was about respect & luck. It has morphed into a festival that shows a lack of respect & the only luck involved is if you'll be seriously injured or not. If your gf is a moron then it's probably best not to imitate her, unless of course you can't recognise that the behaviour is moronic.
If that's the case it sounds like a great relationship & a meeting of 2 similar mindsets...so much for a western education.
PC
for me not exuse for all thai or foreigne.. NO ANY LINE!!
that's why i say about Chauvinism.
And I try say it with humor..
My point is that if thais act like morons or act respectful during songkran then it's their culture, their tradition. It's not the culture of grown foreign men. To act like children as a foreign man is moronic. I really like your smiley faces though. It's very mature

This is the farangs fault. Prayuth said the west has introduced these ways to Thailand. Look at the presenters dressed in western clothing and even Prayuth has fallen victim to western ways, he occasionally dresses in a suit and tie.Topless dancer causes stir at RCA night club.
I always thought he was modelling himself on Austin powers Dr evil with his fantastic taste in clothing. It could catch on. I might get an Indian tailor to knock me up a suit in prayuths honour.

The guy's a genius.
-
Was this the same guy that forced troublemakers to fight professional nak muay in the ring? They would be beaten if they refused. When they fought he made them get up to take further punishment to satisfy his warped mind. How'd this nutcase get so wealthy? He has the mind of a violent criminal

My ribs at rppm were delicious. Falling off the bone tender, juicy with a great flavour. The staff were great, friendly & warm. I'll definitely be back. Thanks for the recommendation
-
I'm in Rmpm now. Ordered a full rack. I tried to call before but couldn't get through, like the number was disconnected
-
I'll try the others first but will head over after songkran. Thanks for your reply
-
Thanks for your reply & info. I'll give them a look

The tour groups remind me of the old chain gangs. Eyes ahead, single file & following someone waving a flag. It looks like an awful way to holiday. A group stayed at our hotel in chiang mai. The noise from them & lack of manners was unbearable

Thai drivers don't understand zebra crossings. It's the same with roundabouts. Fresh paint isn't the fix unless you're connected to the firm carrying out the work
-
Thanks. I was unsure if you had to pre order the ribs. I think another poster mentioned 24 hours notice. I'll pop in tonight. All the best
