Thanks for all your replies Sorry i forgot to say that this all happened in Thailand . The partner has blocked all correspondence with the solicitor and ourselves so i have no idea why he should owe money to the solicitor. My inheritance was paid out to myself a few months before the partner received theirs, different banks and a much larger amount i presume. Thanks again

Hi everyone, I would like some advice please My friend a fellow expat from the UK died in Thailand in early October of last year 2024, i myself was named as a beneficiary in his will along with his partner, he named his sister from the UK as the executor. The will went through probate and the executor paid out the inheritance according to my friends wishes in April of this year 2025. My wife received a text message today 16th of September 2025, from the solicitor saying that my friends partner owes him fees and has blocked him on the phone, he is stating that he is going to revoke the will through court unless he receives monies owed by the partner. what do you think

Hi all, My friend a UK citizen died in Thailand last month, he left me some money in his will which is now going through the probate process in Thailand via a solicitor in court. I also am a UK national, I fear that i also am on my last knockings and may never get to see my friends wishes regarding him giving me Thai Baht via his will. Should i die will my Thai wife get the money that i was due ? i hope this to be the case .. Thank you
