My feeling is a lot of you guys never take risks you plan everything down to the last penny have a great adventure flying to Thailand and then sit and worry about health insurance, moan because you don't like rice every day. Not saying its crime free because its not at all. But nowhere near the amount of gun related deaths as usa. Gangs are around in the cities and they have killed usually with a knife.

How much is a cheap ticket to UK he can borrow from family its fairly cheap. Chiang mai seems OK but Pattaya seems to be a violent unfriendly place for a foreigner. Not quite so keen on Thailand after what I see on TV I thought Philippines was a dangerous place but its nowhere near as violent for foreigners as Thailand.

Seems to me Thais don't like tourists very much anyway no big loss other Asian countries will be available to him. Maybe its cheaper to overstay take a risk get sent home than trying to renew visa every 90 days. No buggy go to Vietnam Cambodia Philippines plenty of countries to choose from

Some people are risk takers his many millionaires took risks and lost everything but got up started again, fools or just determined. I very much doubt if many here have taken very big risks in their life whether that is a big financial risk or a life risk. So you guys have never met a really good con man, yes he is gullable and maybe inexperienced in business and Thailand but we all make mistakes in life his was just very expensive.
