I am confident that the renowned anthropologists Jared Diamond and Margaret Mead (if she were alive today) would both applaud the keenness of this observation.

    "applaud"? OK :clap2:

I am confident that those renowned anthropologists would shudder at your cringeworthy claims. Try educating yourself about Thai culture.

Hi, think we're off to Nakhon Phanom or there about for Songkran this year.

    Anyone stayed there recently?

Anyone know of nice accommodation in the Mekong river?

Can be hotel or bungalow and around B1000 per night.

Thought I'd ask here before Agoda etc.

    Thanks.

    Songkran this year ??

    Yom Kippur? Valentine's Day? Pentecost?

You're a bit late. But yeah, try Agoda.

  3. Thanks for your detailed info. I didn't know that CW also requests so much additional paperwork, as you mentioned:

      - photographic evidence that you're living together with your wife

     - an updated Kor Ror 2 <---- is this really necessary?

     - a letter from your bank showing the balance bank book <--- isn't an updated bank book sufficient?

And as for accusing you of a "big overstay" ... Have they really never heard of the amnesty??

So I'm trying to schedule appointment at MTT immigration, but can't really figure it out, which option should i choose for 60 days NON-IMM O visa type from the following list on the website:

    Any suggestions anyone ?

Indeed. Very confusing which category must click on.

I'm trying to schedule an appointment at MTT to apply for a one-year extension based on marriage (got 400K in the bank, seasoned for more than two months).

You can use the 60-days extension of stay as part of the 2-month seasoning requirement for the 400K when using the funds-in-bank method for your 1-year extension of stay based on your Non Imm O Visa for reason of marriage.

Depending on age, nationality, foreign monthly income and history of foreign transfers, there are also possible other options for you when wanting to stay long-term in Thailand.

Thanks. Actually, I have 400k in a Thai bank account, seasoned for more than 6 months already.

But I deposited it locally, not from abroad. Is that a problem, or can I now still apply for a 12-month extension (to stay with Thai wife) ?

I assume you mean a 60 day extension to visit you wife. She has to be with you when you apply.

You will need your marriage certificate and a copy of it. Copies of your wife's house book registry and ID card.

The fee is the standard 1900 baht fee for all extensions.

You will have to do the application at the Muang Thong Thani office and you will need an appointment to do it.

    Link for appointments.  http://203.151.166.132/immigrant_queue/booking/

What happens once those 60 days are up?

Presuming there is no further amnesty, what do we do after 60 days?

  7. Which club was cursed by their former coach after he was refused a pay rise despite leading them to two European Cup triumphs? "I swear that this club will never win another European trophy."

Since then, the club have reached five European Cup/Champions League finals and three UEFA Cup/Europa League finals, and lost them all.
