  1. Are there any websites like www.renthub.in.th (or ddproperty.com) for Cambodia/ Phnom Penh?

I am looking for websites that are not specifically targeting foreigners (with high priced fully-furnished appartments).

(Renthub basically shows you the whole market - from 1000 Baht rooms to 100K multi bedroom condos...)

    -------------

(Other advice also appreciated: I am looking for inexpensive accommodation 6 month -1 year.  I actually prefer to be a little "outside" of main tourist/commercial/entertainment areas. I saw there are public buses and Grab available. To give you an idea,  In the moment I am living 99% Thai occupied high rise apartment with old and minimally furnished rooms (but 5G WiFi ... and ample car parking space for my neighbours 555) in Chiang Mai - and I actually enjoy it more than fully furnished and decorated place I stayed before)

  2. Have a look at:

    https://www.renthub.in.th/en/apartment/chiang-mai

(There is no point though trying to contact the inexpensive places via the website or email. Call them or talk to them in person. Sometimes the information in Thai is more extensive, so also check the Thai language version, when you found a place and use Google Chrome/Translate.)

  3. (When I was there, many people filled out the form themselves, hoping to speed up the process. But this was not accepted. Every application was in fact written by the girls behind the table. Only agents known to them got the stamp for their pre-filled forms.)

I had my forms printed at home and they were always accepted so far, so unless they started that within the last two months, I can tell you it's not the case, at least not for TV

My remark (blank form/ "girls behind the table") refers - only - to the process described in post by paulbj2 (link in original post above).

If you use the queue starting at the gate, you write your application yourself or prepare it at home, as usual.

  4. I just came back from Vientiane and followed the advice from post #6 (Many, many thanks to paulbj2 !)

    http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/913615-application-form-in-vientiane-requires-names-of-2-guarantors-what-do-i-put/?p=10693273

Do not start to queue at the entrance! Pass the queue and enter the building on the left. Then follow post #6 /paulbj2.
