No one knows the 3 lads' names. If they lodge a formal complaint then everyone will know their names and that they paid for the company of prostitutes.

Imagine someone doing a Google search on your name and the first thing that comes up is a Daily Mail article about you getting your ass kicked after a night out drinking and whoring.

Perhaps the Thai police are counting on this.

Or all 3 told their wives it was just a culture holiday

They do not know what the people want .

So why not hold a referendum ?

Let the Thai people decide .

There are good points and bad ones , but , as long as alcohol is allowed , and meth is tolerated in small quantities , criminalizing Cannabis again would be pure hypocrisy .

In Switzerland , they use to hold referendums and ask the population what they want ...

Why not in the Thailand ?

They had an election and the results were overturned ... why expect anything different with a referendum ?

My owner refused to do a TM30, last time he paid an agent 500 baht, he refused to give me a copy of his House Book so I could do it,  I sorted it with the assistance of an agent more so it was past the 24 hour deadline therefore I didn’t want to go to Jomtien and deal with Immigration, I am now moving house, his loss we had rented it for over 4 years.

Jomtien are getting very strict regarding TM30, you need one now just to do the 90 day report.

I have heard that the reason Thai houseowners / landlords won't do a TM30 is because they are scared of having to pay tax on the rental income.

Sorry it was a couple of rounds of Leo beer for me and the girl.

80THB For me and 150THB for her.

Not that I really mind but I thought for a small bar with pretty average girls in Hua Hin it would be something like 80THB for me and 120THB for the girl.

80 baht must be a large bottle

Thought a valid licence was a prerequisite to hire a car, also the insurance is invalid if there is no licence or an expired licence

    Insurance  ??

Most locals only have the requisite government insurance which is paid with the road tax.

    Almost worthless

Something I do not see written about, yet to my mind is a serious issue, and that is the retired people on annual extensions to stay using the monthly income method. Surely, with a sum of about 65,000 per month coming in regularly to meet visa requirements, the taxman will want to get his grubby paws on some of it.

    About 35% of it.

So will Immigration accept the monthly transfer amount as before or after the tax deduction ?

If after, then the 65K would need to be more like 100K
