You talk as though you've.never filed a tax return. You have to declare what those funds are, you can say what you want. But if they don't believe you or decide to do a routine audit, you have to be able to prove what you said is true.

How could the Thai taxman get access to your bank details in your home country ?

I would quite happily declare that my funds are savings/inheritance but that would be it.

If HSBC gave my details to anyone sure they would be in breach of even basic banking regs.

From the picture in the news article, it looks like the cheese department is run by Jagota and most likely the meat department as well then, which means way overpriced.

They run the same at big C extra, and to be honest I have never seen a customer at the cheese counter there

The meat counter in Big C Pattaya Klang, especially beef, is way overpriced.

I don't have one but from others I think that you need to create a GBP account within Wise.  After you do a test deposit and maybe verify your identity you will be given a new UK sort code and account number to allow payments like this.

Yes I have a Wise account, have been transferring with them for a few years now.

So is it the same sort code etc for Wise that I use when sending funds from my UK bank ?

if you do not renew your passport before the extension, I believe you will get the extension to the expiry date of the passport, and that will be your new annual renewal date.

Correct The new extension will end on the passport expiry date.

After obtaining the extension, apply for a new passport and then get the stamp/s transferred.

Good point.   Making up for lost profits during Covid ?

They made up for that in 2 days at the Pattaya fireworks. 7/11 couldn't sell drinks fast enough

Breathalyzers cost money, it"LL never happen.

They need to be calibrated every few uses also.

    Conservative think tank stupidity.

During covid some bars charged you 100 baht for a covid test just to allow you into the bar.

Will this prove another opportunity for An*tin to provide "official" breathalysers ??
