  1. open at the weekend, closed through the week, just like pre-covid times
  2. the more people he can rope in to his plan the more possible scapegoats he can blame if it all goes pear shaped.
  3. tax on billionaires unrealised gains.. soon to be tax on millionaires unrealised gains.. leading to tax on everybodies unrealised gains. you have been warned.. there's a large pension pot and uncle sam wants a piece of it.
  4. going to be some very confused faces come november 1st.. "where is everybody?!" ????
  5. pretty cheap to open a bar, less than a hotel, coffee shop or restaurant. i think the only business cheaper to open is a massage shop. as such they'll pop back up like mushrooms once demand returns. now will demand return? thats the real question.
  6. pretty much every "bar" in my area is now a "restaurant". they all rebranded last year. not that many of them actually cook any food but there's a menu on the counter from a local takeaway the only thing that will actually change at these "restaurants" is the glasses your served in ????
  7. i believe this would fall under the "farang can afford it & its good for thailand" exemption.
  8. ..strange, i must have imagined the 6 years free rent and 26% capital gain my last property returned. (sold it to a thai family too)
  9. from another article: i think i know where this is going. https://tna.mcot.net/english-news-809996
  10. of course they will.. once they realise sandbox 2 isn't any more successful than sandbox 1 (phuket) they'll rapidly roll out "sandbox thailand" to the rest of the provinces and allow the whole world to enter. glory awaits!
  11. booze is readily available.. beer glasses on the other hand.. ????
  12. get the air the pro is overkill get more memory if you want to carry a lot of movies or games other than that 64gb is adequate enjoy!
  13. but how can this be?! the bars are closed.. the restaurants are dry.. and the girls are safely tucked up in issan.. it just does not compute ????????
  14. kind of like when you get a medical cert in thailand for a drivers licence? doctor "how you feel?" patient "good" doctor "ok, pass, 200 baht please" no-one will care..
  15. the only thing clear from all this is that thailand is 100% not ready to reopen. if they were, and by that i mean their people are properly protected, there would be no need for anything more than a vaccine passport and a wai.
  16. hahaha wife told me today she and her friends are waiting until after the 19th to register for their vaccinations as pfizer and AZ will be on the menu ????
  17. can't blame these outbreaks on burmese or other foreigners they are in the prime tourist areas and just 2 weeks after bangkok started descending en masse to the town again.
  18. the newspaper that can't be named is curretly running a story where they are talking about "blue zones" being set up in pattaya, chiang mai (and the others?) for the first 7 days inbound tourists cannot leave and if (tested again?) covid free can travel freely outside with writtent permission from authorities. not sure how they intend to enforce but tracking apps come to mind. either way this fully open thailand is sounding a whole lot like another sandbox setup to me. meanwhile 10s thousands of locals will be "freely" moving in and out of these blue zones with impunity. what a joke.
