They must have been extremely desperate. Cutting in on a share of the police extortion monopoly is as risky as it can get.

'He claimed the high price of Sinovac, as pointed out by the opposition, was dictated by the seller, not the buyer.' 'He warned the Opposition MPs that their denigrating of the Chinese-made Sinovac vaccine may harm the bilateral relationship' It is very clear exactly who he reports to, and it is not the Thai people.

Storms will come again and again and wash away the sand. If they made a longer hidden channel extending to the beach but covered up under the sand out of sandbags and geotextile cloth, the water would be better contained on its way out to sea and carry out far less sand. Runoff would wash away the sand on top, exposing the sandbag channel underneath, then could be covered up again and repaired very quickly in just hours instead of losing most of the beach every time it rains.

Prayut walks back October reopening for the country

Thais must learn to live with Covid-19 because despite having plenty of time, enough money, and all the resources required at my disposal, I have totally failed in all critical decisions. Now just <deleted> off, leave me alone, and die off peacefully.- 122 replies

Yes Bernie, technically you are right. The new mRNA vaccine breakthroughs have proven far superior than the old traditional ones, although the old style vaccines as we know them seem to have had their place and served us well in the past. Now there are far better ones for us to use. I have 2 friends currently in ICU for the last 2 weeks with Covid, both having had their 2 doses of Sinovac, about a couple months prior. One seems to only now be improving, the other not. I have many many friends with the mRNA vaccines for a while now, not one of them reported any trace of Covid. Yes, I expect boosters will be needed every 6 months to maintain protection. With all the current data now available, the high cost, extremely low efficacy, and short 40 day half life of the traditional vaccine (Sinovac Sinopharm), make it a very poor choice, and gives people false hope as my 2 friends can attest to, if they survive.

China donates medical devices worth 50 million baht
Gold Star replied to Jonathan Fairfield's topic in Thailand News
The oximeter is another medical tool, to measure how much oxygen is getting into your blood. If you are not getting enough, and it gives a low reading, you should be given supplemental oxygen via an oxygen generator, or from a bottle, and get to a hospital for your heart attack, stroke, collapsed lung, Covid, whatever. Unfortunately, if you rely on a cheap Chinese made one, it might kill you. -

Which confirmation email did you last get? First, I tried to upload all, and it wouldn't take, just one image. I got confirmation email number one, that said all OK, now wait. Days later I got an email that said it wasn't correct as they didn't have my visa document. I went back, logged in, and uploaded all again. Then I got confirmation email number two saying all OK, now wait. I tried logging back in and it wont let me as it thinks all is good. I recall there is a telephone number to call for help, but you have to be able to log in to see it. Your cookies may be keeping you from logging in or even creating a new log in. Perhaps try another device or browser?

From my experience getting the surprise Pfizer shot yesterday, I would strongly advise anyone here to make sure they have registered in as many places as possible. Websites, shopping malls, local public and private hospitals, Expatvac, Thailand intervac, the consular ones, etc. Pfizer seems to be allocated in small batches to hospitals without much warning, leaving them to scramble to organize appointments. At the end of vaccine day, there may be a small number of doses left that don't have arms. If they close at 4 pm, even if you don't have an appointment, try to be there at 3PM with your passport, and hopefully you have already registered with as many websites and Line apps as possible so that they can find and accept you on the one they use. As far as I know, the jab would be otherwise discarded as it can't go back in the fridge, and Pfizer vaccine day may be only held for one day. Presently, after the medical staff, they are giving it to those Falangs over 60, or 7 conditions. This will open up, to younger people soon, and you never know when that is going to happen. I felt like one of my goldfish. So don't be on the far side of the fountain when the guy with the food comes, or you won't get fed.
