Under teller number TFN05027-TFN05029 these are International transfers. Says last page of pass book which is handy.

i just checked my most recent Intl transfer and it has teller no.TFN05030* nothing is straight forward here

An attachment to my weekly emailed Kasikorn bank statement says from TFN05027 to TFN05032 are International.

  2. The O-A is a multiple entry visa valid for 12 months from issue, and each entry gives 12 months permission of stay.
So by entering again just prior to it's expiration a total of 2 years stay can be achieved.
This is the text on the Thai embassy site in The Hague:
5.1  Upon arrival, holder of this type of visa will be permitted to stay in Thailand for 1 year from the date of first entry.

I read clearly "FIRST entry", not "per entry".

    http://www.thaiembassy.org/hague/th/services/76475-Non-Immigrant-Visa-O-A-(long-stay).html

Read the same on the site of the embassy in Saigon (6.1).
So either this has changed or Immigration is not aware of it.

  3. Are these codes recognised by Immigration as International transfers? as the statement you get when you request one online doesn't say International
You could print out their code page.
Can't you request the bank for an overview with only the transfers matching those codes?
Anyway, the international transfers are identifiable. Something should be possible.

  4. Oh, your post was only about bank methods, while other options are still available?
Wasn't clear to me. Looked more to me like you wrote only bank methods are available nowadays. Sorry.

The bank method stands for all as embassy letters were never needed for bank method applications.

  5. The clauses specified have been amended, but the memorandum itself re writes the two sections of orders for supporting documents.

Currently the financial requirements for retirement are
    65k income per month
    800k in bank
combination of annual earnings and savings

    The supporting documentation as revised
Income of 65k transferred into bank
    Letter from bank showing 800k

There is no provision for showing annual earnings.
The income letter from embassy is still valid as usual. I just got my extension based on it. The old rules are unchanged.

Only embassies of 4 countries don't issue the letters anymore. For people from those countries it's money in the bank (and?)/or monthly transfers. The monthly transfers being a new additional possibility. The "and" un-proven so far.

  6. Any embassy that is still producing income letters, these letters are accepted by immigration as proof, just like they always were.

For the 4 embassies that no longer issue any form of income certification, then no, since how can you submit a letter that no longer exists?
I can confirm, got my extension today based on income letter from my embassy at immigration Khon Kaen. Nothing changed, same as always.

All the news is confusing, but the changes only apply to those who can't get the embassy letter (which I guess is the majority of the forum members), they have now the new option of monthly transfers. The "and/or money in the bank" option is also still applicable.

  7. There are various types of progressive lenses. The cheap ones will only offer sharp vision in a very small area forcing you to move your head towards what you want to see, the most expensive ones allow you to just move your eyes and still have a sharp vision.
Comparing prices just based on prescription isn't much of a comparison. Quality and technical capabilities come at a cost.
