Prime Minister reveals radical plan to force all 18-year-olds to serve in the military for 12 months

If the Conservatives win the upcoming General Election, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak plans to introduce compulsory National Service for all 18-year-olds. He announced this surprising proposal in an article for The Mail on Sunday.

Under this plan, school-leavers would have to spend a year either in a full-time role with the Armed Forces or volunteering with organisations like the police or the NHS. This idea is based on similar systems already used in some European countries.

This bold move is expected to create mixed reactions but will certainly stir up the first full week of the election campaign.

Mr. Sunak explained that the 'reinvented' scheme would offer 'life-changing opportunities for our young people.' He also said, "As a father, I look forward to my own two daughters doing their National Service; I think they will find it a rewarding experience."

He added, "Being British is about more than just the queue you join at passport control."

The idea of making school-leavers join the scheme is expected to be the most controversial part. However, No. 10 says that only about 10 percent of 18-year-olds are likely to choose a full military commitment for the whole 12 months, while most would work just one weekend a month.

If the Conservatives win, a Royal Commission will be set up to finalize the details, and the scheme could start as soon as September next year.

    Secretly Planned National Service

The plan for bringing back National Service was developed in secret, with only Mr. Sunak’s close advisers, including former Tory leader William Hague, being informed about it.

In their private 40-page plan, the advisers argued that the growing threats from countries like Russia and China need to be addressed by strengthening the Armed Forces. They also pointed out the ongoing issue of many young adults feeling aimless, with nearly 750,000 people aged 18 to 24 currently out of work and a high percentage involved in the criminal justice system.

The civic roles could include assisting with flood defenses and community aid during natural disasters, providing support roles in the NHS, working in fire safety, or joining the RNLI or mountain search and rescue teams.

It's getting more difficult for old men to con young men into fighting their wars. That's why the recruiting numbers are down. He should take lessons from the yanks, they are good at it. He should be talking about freedom and liberty and handing out lots of medals.

    Mandatory Drug Test

(I've heard from reliable sources if you always carry a small bottle of Visine Clear Eyes with you, one can finagle the tiny bottle under ones junk and squeeze a few drops in sample and subsequently cause the test to be false positive due to the natural bleaches within the clear eyes,).

    So they say 🤫

The Best reason to stay out of the night clubs! or to stay out past midnight for that matter 😜

I'm very "surprised" I never read about the raids on clubs meant for foreigners having failed drug test, it seems to be a bigger issue w young Thai edm clubs, who always sell happy water

I don't think they can compel foreigners to do a piss test?

  3. When I was a young fellow in the UK there was a mercenary used to drink in the local pub. He was quiet always wore a suit and tie only drank scotch and had one of those moustaches with pointy ends. he was a friendly guy but used to sit at the end of the bar by himself. He would disappear for a couple of months at a time and return with a sun tan. He never talked about his job most people never knew he was a mercenary.

I'm struggling with the same issue. How long do implants last anyway? I know 2 people who have had theirs' removed (very painfully).

My own dentist is pressing me to restore my bite on one side where I had an extraction, but I had a second opinion, who advised against it because the bone is thin. My dentist said "Oh don't worry I'll use a shorter implant"......what????? Isn't this going to wiggle out of the bone when I eat??????

My dentist is nice looking, but very young, and I wonder if she has the real world experience and has done many implants by herself...."hundreds" she told me....but I am a bit doubtful and looking for an old hag who really might have done hundreds of implants.

Same with a motor cycle taxi ,I always look for an old guy.

It seems the rules about vehicles on the beach are very different in different countries.

I can't imagine ever seeing a vehicle on the beach when I grew up. Not in the country where I lived, and not in any neighboring country in Europe.

But I remember seeing Hollywood movies where people drove regularly with cars on the beach.

Where I grew up , Liverpool ,just north of the city you could drive on the beach from Formby to Southport. They even had special beach police to catch speeders.

  6. Being young and stupid wanting to show off to the girls I lifted up the end of a pool table so the balls would roll to the other end. Next morning my shoulder was locked stiff and painful so I went to the doctor. He figured he could fix it with acupuncture but I howled when he stuck the first needle in. He said that is not supposed to happen so he stopped and gave me a sleeping pill . Told me to go straight home as I would be asleep in half an hour. I slept from Monday lunchtime to Wednesday sometime. Passed out in the bathroom or so I was told and got packed back to bed. When I woke up the pain was gone but it was a couple of days before I could lift my arm above my head. Not one of my most pleasant experiences.
