My children are in their fifties now but I never had any problems when they were under four. If their parents can control them there should be no problem but kids whose parents are accustomed with letting them run wild will have issues in a confined space with other people.

One of the disadvantages of living in a democratic society is its ability to deal with weird f---ers. Less democratic countries can lay the law down with no repercussions. Well done Dubai.

If you have the blue book your next move is to get the purple car passport. A few pieces of paper at the border but no problem. I have heard right hand drive vehicles are not allowed into Vietnam but have never had this confirmed by someone that was refused entry.

Sounds like the arms sellers dream selling to both sides not taking sides to sell to only those you designate as the good guys.

I was there around 2002 before there were any ATM's I had to get a ferry over to the mainland to get some cash. It was OK for a while after the tsunami as the boats had been purged from the beach. Now the boat free swimming areas have continued to get smaller every year.

I would smoke weed on principal when it was illegal as I believe the government has no right telling me what I can smoke. what I can drink. Now it's legal I no longer have a point to make. Mind you a lot of illegal substances are nasty so I would not touch them but weed is harmless.

I was four months in Udon Thani ,never saw one policeman, If Thai drivers were so bad the whole place would have ground to a halt. Apart from a few bad apples sneaking through on the inside to get to the front of the line or turning right from the wrong lane. they follow the rules.

Europe has become homogenised , fifty years ago you could tell what country you were in by their distinctive tobacco smell, the cars they drive and the beer they drank. Kind of a shame if you ask me.

At 30,000 feet it's cold outside they don't need aircon it's free.

Electrical and plumbing has evolved lots in the last few years so unless your house in new it will be outdated no matter what it cost. Build your own , spec out the latest and keep an eye on the construction.

When the Russians went after Ukraine the west especially the US was very quick to remove access to any Russian news sources so we could only get the US side of the story.

I always have a book to read when I travel. Sitting in the airport the time passes quicker. On the plane no wires to untangle when my meal comes. Also if I have to go back to check something it's easier than with Kindle.

I haven't been there for years , is " Play Skool" still going? it was on the right lower level with all the girls dressed in school uniforms.

When the pink card first came out it was of little use because nobody knew what it was. Now it is very useful, changing money at the bank, checking in to hotels. I get the Thai rate in the village clinic and the hospital dental clinic.

Looks like this was made up by lawyers making sure the immigration trough is full.
