  1. I am by my heart standing by this statement. I know this guy and what he has been thru. I cannot say what happened that night in that home, but it seems very unlikely, under his conditions that he would have done anything like this. Please dont delete this.
  2. So many old farts in here, out of tune with what the young likes to watch. This guy has 13,4 MILLION subscribers that actually likes his videos, where he speaks thai. What do you people actually believe he has done wrong? If it is illegal to hire police for the video, certainly its the police-officers and not the civilian who should get punished.
  3. This thread is a prime example of grumpy old straight farts in their echo chamber whining about something that they have absolutely no comprehension on knowing anything about. The story was about Thailand considering legalising same sex marriage or civil unions, but has somehow ended up with old farts comparing transexuals to cows and general mocking and derogatory comments. What century are you living in? You should be ashamed of yourselves!
  4. I also remember this beeing enforced during Thaksins reign in the early 2000s, but that it was a not enacted law before that. Usually I also forget the 2-5 rule when I arrive in Thailand, but I don't see it as a huge hassle. On a sidenote: Here in Norway we also have weird laws: Only alcohol with a % 4,7 or under is allowed to be sold at supermarkets, and only between 08:00 and 18:00 monday to friday. On saturdays and days before public christian holidays you can only sell between 08:00 and 15:00. The local municipality can however extend the hours up to 20:00 on weekdays and 18:00 on saturdays/days before holiday. All shops larger than 100 square meters must be closed on Sundays. This law has made for the strange creation of "brustad-buer" named after the politician who introduced the law. Many supermarkets now have sundayshops with a separate entrance that is exactly 100sqm next to the normal shop, and its only open on Sundays. But you cannot buy alcohol in these shops. For alcohol 4,8% and up you have to go to the state owned Vinmonopolet ("The Wine Monoploly") and they are open from 10 to 18 on weekdays, and 10 to 16 on saturdays (changed from 09 to 15 last year). Because of the rules that municipalities can extend the sales hours themselves, it was a common occurence that people drove to the neighbouring municipality to buy their beer. Most municipalities now have chosen to extend the sales hours to the max. Edit: Btw, it is also illegal to get drunk at a bar. If the liquor control board have an inspection and find drunk people getting served, the bar could get a fine or even be closed down.
  5. Meanwhile, Norway is set to remove the last regulations regarding covid, including social distancing in public, and the requirement of wearing a face mask when you cannot keep 1 meter apart. There is also rumor that the requirement for isolation when covid positive will be changed to a recommendation. Press conference in 3 hours.
  6. The problem is that LGBT+ don't have the same rights as heterosexual couples. What is normal? It is also quite normal to get a divorce, should we ban thatas well? Do you have any studies to refer to that proves any disadvantages not having 2 fathers or 2 mothers in stead of a mother and a father? Several countries allows LGBT-adoption, so there should be papers out there on this. There is a BIG difference in 2 consenting adults and a goat/dog/fish/horse/cow etc or children who absolutely cannot consent to anything. Comparing LGBT+ with child molesters and bestiality only makes you look like an idiot. Replace LGBT (or LBGT as you wrote) with black or colored and read back again. How about just accepting people like they are and also accept them having equal rights? Why should I not have the right to move together with my partner to Thailand? Why should I not have a say when my partner is sick and in hospital? Why should I not inherent my partner? Why should I not get the same economic security and rights as a heterosexual couple?
  7. Sorry if I breach any rules here, but is the current government just stupid? Don't they see that stories like this will come out and make it big in the foreign media? Don't they see that it will hit themselves in the a*s?! How incompetent is it possible to be? I am astonished they thought this was a good idea.
  8. So he says 10 countries will open, and mentions 5... what about the other 5 countries? When will people in those countries be notified? Surely the scandinavian countries must be added.
  9. I am not so sure you should count on the WHO vaccine book. At least for Norway this is not proof of covid vaccination at the current time. I would think it is the same for the whole EU. The reason is lack of security. It is too easy to falsify.
  10. Wow... this sounds really mad. I live in Norway, and of course you can bring your wife/husband and kids to live in Norway. There has to be something broken with Denmark if this is true. All spouces in Norway can apply for residency, and it is the Norwegian citizens salary that is considered, not The immigrant.
  11. To compare, The rules in Norway are as follows: If you are fully vaccinated (With a vaccine, or a combination of vaccines that is approved by EMA) and can prove this with a certificate from Norway or another EU country you will not be required to quarantine when returning to Norway. You are also exempt from from negative test before travelling, and are exempt from filling out entryform and testing at the border. If you have had only one dose of vaccine (exept J&J) you will need a certificate of negative test before travelling, you will have to fill out the entryform, and get tested again at the border. You will have to quarantine at home for 10 days. You can however take a PCR-test after day 3, and if test is negative, you can go out of quarantine. If you are unvaccinated, you will have to do as if vaccinated with one dose, but you will have to quarantine at a quarantine hotel. After day 3 you can take a PCR-test, and if this test is negative, you can leave the hotel and continue the rest of your quarantine at home. You can take another PCR-test after day 7, and if this test is negative, you can leave quarantine all together. The price of quarantine hotel in Norway is NOK 500 (£41,77) per night for adults, and NOK 250 (£20,88) for kids aged 10-18. Kids under the age of 10 is free. The price is subsidized by the government.
  12. See my post... he doesn't want AZ, or the "chinese vaccine". He wants mRNA (Pfizer or Moderna) Norway only use mRNA and he wants no less... in Thailand.
  13. This "news" on ScandAsia comes because this guy now have been in the worst tabloid newspaper in norway twice complaining that Norway doesn't send vaccines to expats in Thailand. He was first time in the Norwegian newspaper "Dagbladet" on 29. June complaining how bad it was in Thailand and in Pattaya where he lives. He is secretary of "The Scandinavian Siam society" and had sent an open letter to the Norwegian and other Nordic prime-ministers asking for vaccines to be sent for them. In this letter he claims that No foreigners are included in the Thai vaccine program. Neither the elderly or sick, unless they have a work permit. He continues to write that the elderly pensioners because of this is in great danger at least until October. In the interview with Dagbladet he talks against himself and says that apparently vaccines ARE given to foreigners, but it is either "the chinese vaccine" or AstraZeneca. He and his wife doesn't want either of them. The Norwegian minister of health, Bent Høie, answered Dagbladet that sending vaccines from Norway to expats abroad was not going to happen, and he said that they (expats) would have to follow the local vaccination regime of the country they live in, or come back to Norway to get the jab. 14. Whould this new rule make it illegal to publish a growing trend of infections? A growing trend could frighten the people! From here on maybe only reporting on sinking trend of infections is allowed!
