  3. Hello. Has anyone been to Trendy house lately. I am going on Thursday to apply for my daughters passport, and i noticed on the appointment form that it says no electronics. It has quite a list including laptops, tablets and usb devices, but doesn't say phones. I like to try to be organised and to have access to any uploaded documents if needed. Has anyone taken their phone in? Thanks. Steve D.
  4. The ticket out is understandable but i came last week, visa excempt, married to a Thai for 13 years, and my return is for 23rd January. I did buy an onward ticket just in case, but neither Klm or the lady at immigration asked to see one. She just asked how long i was staying for, and i replied that i would extend later. I did the same last year too.
  5. When i spoke to my wife this morning she was told wrong. I wrote the British embassy in Thailand, but it's the Thai embassy in Britain. The right af abode post may change things. I may have to just wait until i go back to get my daughter a British passport.
  6. Thank you everyone for your help. Much appreciated.
  7. Hello. I am looking for a bit of advise. My wife is trying to renew my 11 year old daughters Thai passport, which only has 6 months left, so they can come to the uk for a holiday. I am in th uk working just now, but the passport office in Thailand says i must be there to sign for it. A power of attorney form was suggested but it needs to be verified by the British Embassy in Thailand. Is there a way round this to save me having to take a very short trip to Thailand to sign for it. I just came back to uk in February and am very busy with work just now. My daughter does not have a uk passport yet. They were hoping to come over for a month. I would appreciate any advice. Regards. Steven.
  8. I recall a template example for the invitation letter for a Thai home owner to write, for her husband or friend to visit her home. I can't remember where i saw it and can't find it in my downloads. Has anyone else seen this. It may have been on the Thai Embassy site, but i can't find it?
  9. I renewed mine 5 years ago and only had to watch a video. I had a visa then though. I am going in the next few days so will post what happened.
  10. Be happy enough with that.
  11. Thanks everyone for your help. I may just have to go to Savanhaket to get if i need, as i go over next week.
  12. I did get a residence certificate easily at udon Thani immigration last time, and a doctors note. I wasn't sure about the visa. Vaguely remember the lady checking through my passport pages but maybe she was looking for the photo page.
  13. Hello everyone. I have to renew my 5 year driving licences in March. This visit i am going visa exempt despite being married. I was wondering if i would need some sort of visa in my passport in order to renew it?
  14. Weird though when i tried to progress without doing anything it wouldn't let me????
  15. Before applying for non o it lists 4 things to have documentation for. After going through the process online there are 13 different ones required. Number 8, you don't get a residence permit in Uk, and is number 12 not the same? ????
  16. Thank you for everyones help. I willl try non o single again(although it's listing a lot more requirements than the initial 4. Failing that i will go visa exempt and book a flight leaving Thailand for airline purposes.
  17. Thanks for everyone's help. For about 7 years i went with my wife to Laos and got a multi non o, but this is the 1st time i tried evisa application, as having had complications with covid, i haven't been able to visit my wife and daughter for 2 1/2 years. It is just a bit confusing as they are asking so much for the non o and i thought maybe the 60 day tourist to visit family would be easier, but no????. Also if i put down a residential address on my landing card with visa Exempt, would i have issues on entry at immigration. I'm probably worrying more than i should.
  18. If i went visa exempt, as I'm going for 59 days would i need to have a flight out after 45? Also i was wondering if my wife would have to invite me to stay at the house, and confirm we are still married, could she photograph the letter and send it?
  19. I have booked my flights already to return after 59 days.
  20. Hello. I am going to visit my Thai wife in December. Am i right that on the evisa site i need: 1. Photo of passport. 2. Photo of me holding passport. 3. Wifes id card. 4. Photo of passport pages of places visited in the last 12 months. 5. Invitation letter from my wife. 6. Documentation to prove i stay in the embassy/consulate duerestriction area. 7. Bank statement. 8. Marriage certificate. 9. Travel details. This is the first time i have applied online. I presume no. 6 i can upload a utility bill. I am going for 59 days as they were asking for a lot more to go for more than 60.
  21. Brilliant thanks guys. I just wondered with my visit for family rather than tourism.
  22. Hello. I am going to see my family in Thailand for 22 days in September. I was wondering if i would be ok with 30 day except or would be safer to still get a marriage visa? I am from uk. Thank you.
