Tesco is so sloppy, they would probably bring me beers that were a year old.  A case of cans on the BTS is pretty doable.  Even a case of large Heinekens...the frig uses less energy, when full....

Tesco delivery is spot on in my experience and if you don't like what's delivered you don't have to accept it.

He thinks that he has that covered

I'll believe it when he provides a photo of it sitting in the school yard

As I said in my first post here, "All you will get here is the don't-even-think-about-it brigade overflowing with answers to questions you didn't ask and probably already have covered.  Good luck."

    QED.

  3. Orlando Baton gives an unlikely story about a Tesco customer, he reports about someone walking on a BTS "Keep Clear" area (he managed a photo of the alleged BTS passenger, why no photo of the Tesco customer?) and a tale of his own wife breaking the law.  "After observing Thai people for nearly two decades in their native habitat" is that the best he can come up with?

  4. "...I am looking for low cost port to port shipping option (don't really need the local pick up and delivery from their end).
    Prefer Seattle or Portland departure.

    Anyone have any ideas?"

"I just need to find a way to ship it."

Contacting shipping agents in Seattle or Portland may be an idea.

You can kill a living being, but you can't kill the immortal soul. We are in a culture where Karma is something you can't run away from, still Thai people at almost all levels don't seem to care about lives. If Karma is for real I can understand all the suffering.

Karma isn't anymore real than "the immortal soul" and is just a convenient human interpretation of 'coincidence'.

Because I once answered a similar question and was warned by a Moderator for making personal comments. The Moderator said that in future I was to say "a certain member said ..............," or "a certain person said................" and not to mention the poster by name. That is why rkidlad is not being specific in naming names. In essence, that is the reason for the "cloak and dagger" stuff!

    That makes sense, thanks.

But BTS is very limited in Bangkok. How many passengers find it completely useless? Once you finish your ride, you will have to pay again for another journey instead of getting a free transfer.

    It's expensive.

    It's inexpensive.

You seem to be suggesting that if a passenger wants to go from, say, Bearing to Siam Sq he should be able to but a ticket to Onnut and then get free travel from there to his destination.

Just another case when the Thai Government have not made a correct Due Diligence. It happen too often here.

If you compare number of outlets in Sweden with the population Thailand needs between 4000 - 5000 outlets. Can Thailand make that before October 1 ! ! ! (If they mean 2017)

The advantage with the monopoly in Sweden is that they can buy in huge quantities. They are the biggest buyer of Vine in the world. That means that Sweden can buy very good quality to a very good price (In my opinion that is the only advantage with the monopoly).

Thailand also have to set up a huge purchasing office to buy good quality to a good price. This kind of Purchasing office is not set up quickly as you need qualified people who knows Vine very well.

The other things that sounds stupid is also that if I am going to vacation outside my Amphur, then I can not go to an outlet to buy Alcohol

They should feel shame when they suggest this to take effect so quickly as it is impossible.

Thailand can not even enforce people to wear a helmet when driving motor bike. How can they make this so quickly.

The Swedish monopoly company was established for 60 years ago.

    Good gawd...

I used to moan about public transport in Toronto which was $3, but that's 3 bucks on much higher wages and unlimited transfers. With BTS you don't get that.

It doesn't affect me whatsoever, but it's expensive.

It's not expensive unless you're only looking at the longest journeys, then you've got to ask yourself how many passengers go from terminus to terminus everyday.

In other cities/countries such as Singapore, KL, Hong Kong, Manila, everyone can afford to use the MRT system, not just white collar workers. Whether the BTS could handle all of them, is another story

Not everyone in SG, KL, HK and PI can afford to use those countries'  transport systems, where did you get that statistic from?

Millions of non-white collar workers use the BTS everyday!

And for those who still don't get it or prefer "alternative facts"  --->>> There is another new reason arising everyday why UBER and GRAB are here to stay.  Period

    http://www.nationmultimedia.com/news/national/30310963

As that woman will no longer be driving licenced taxis following all her offences coming to light, don't be surprised if she turns up at your door as another unlicenced, uninsured Uber driver.

I wonder how long it will take the blinkered Uber supporters to "get it"?

And the facts say 76% support UBER and GRAB, these are the facts, no one gives a sh*t if you like it or not.

If you don't like these numbers, why don't you create your own "fake facts" survey then ?

Oh dear, you may want to wind you neck in a bit...here's the quote that I referred to from the OP, "But the pollster found that 75.9 per cent of the respondents said they had not used the ride-sharing apps".   Most reasonable people would accept that 75.9% is fairly represented as 76% just in case you're going to have a go at that.

It seems that you are the one who is creating imaginary percentages, not me.  And what's with this "no one gives a shi t whether you like it or not"  attack?

Then again Maybe he did not. Does the word maybe make a big difference?. Maybe.

It bloody well did when you deliberately misquoted me.  You took it from my making a suggestion to your making it appear that it I had made a categoric statement that he had justified his assets.  That was not what I had said.

By the way there is a rule on Thaivisa that does not allow the altering of other poster's quotes if that alteration gives the quote a different meaning from the original.

Never heard of a car being 90% new .   Oh oh oh wait .....how much is that Lambo and why has it got a Benz racing sun screen sticker on it ?

Have you ever heard of a translation from Thai to English not coming out exactly as intended?  I've never heard of so many foreigners wanting to do nothing else but try to take the piss out of Thais as I have here.
