  1. I am a little confused about this process and somebody may help me to move forward

I am UK and married , my wife could support her own trip , however I have already paid upfront for hotels. hire car etc and the flight ticket has a Bangkok return

    My questions are

    1. Is a marriage certificate required  (ie name change document) -  her current thai visa and Id card are in her married surname

    2. She is travelling with me   - do we require a bank statement showing 3 months in her account as  it is all paid for upfront

    3.  How does the booking process work to make the application in Bangkok

any help or previous experiences would be appreciated

    regards

  2. thanks for your replies

I will take a look at the options listed and also take note of your comment peter , as that was my next step to buy one for about 3k

on lazada , hoping that it would be better than the previous ones

    regards

  3. I was looking for some thoughts about trail wildlife cameras for my farm , which has no electric or Wifi

I am looking at cameras as somebody has been stealing the rubber and at a first attempt wanted to see if trail cameras would be any use

My first attempt was a lazada special 600Bhat , but this has currently not got past the testing phase as it takes about 10 photos and videos and then the rest are corrupt

Therefore I was hoping somebody may have some thoughts/experiences around this topic and also could advise me of their experiences and

what wildlife cameras they used .

Was originally looking for something cheap as a test  and also incase it got spotted and stolen

any info experiences would be much appreciated

Or even might be able to resolve my photo/video isssue.  I am currently formatting a new SD card and going to try that out later today

    regards

  4. I am taking some first steps into buying an home entertainment  LED projector , normally with my first steps I buy quite cheap and then depending on usage and performance decide whether I buy a more expensive one of ditch the idea

I was looking at buying a projector nearer £150 and was looking at a Wewatch v51 - but I do not seem to be able to find a seller , Aliexpress states they have one , but when you click through its no longer available (shows a v56 model  )

I hoping that some kind members might give me some advice/guidance , if they have already gone through this process

Worried a little about shipping from abroad (not from an asian seller) as I would not like to hit with extortionate thai import duty tax

any views, opinions thoughts would be much appreciated

    regards

  5. I live rurally and I am finding it difficult to get a Covid Booster jab , which I require.

I am travelling to Pattaya for other reasons , but thought it might be easier to get a covid booster jab there .

Is there some where in pattaya that does Covid Jabs  (not bothered if I have to pay for it )

    Any info would be useful

    regards

  6. It all become a little bit strange here , putting it down to Thai culture !!! the other brother is A and the wife is not to well herself , so maybe that would not be a good donor !!! i would have said she was OK but not for me to question

some other family members will not be asked , I am trying to stay out of internal family stances !!

So this is why I was asking ....have we really got to play hunt the donor ourselves !!!

  7. Looking for assistance or knowledge about the blood transfusion process in Thailand.

My brother in law is ill and the doctor (in a care centre) said he need two pints of type O blood.  Not really thinking about this before !!

My wife says we will have to go to the nearest hospital (which is Sa Kaeo) and find people in the village to give blood in Sa Kaeo and then he can have the transfusion

My first thoughts are most people will not be interested and probably do not know what their blood type is

What is the process here and could we just pay and go somewhere to get 2 pints of type O

If so does anybody have any contact numbers etc , which they have used before for this process

    Any Help would be appreciated

  8. Thanks for the replies

Little confused by a couple of the comments though as they slightly contradict

1 )  Since you can buy licence-exempt (red colour) walkie-talkies in Thailand anyway ...............I read this , so buy a red colour one from lazada !!

    2) You need a license for all kind of radio transmitters, even a PMR or Walky Talkie. -   So from this are the red colour ones illegal  !!

    Hopefully this can be clarified

    regards

  9. I was looking at buying 2 walkie talkies for when me and my Mrs work on the farm , its quite large 150 rai ..........sometimes we have to search high and low to find each other, if we move of the beaten track.

don't like carrying a phone and the signal is poor/non existent if you are not at the top of the hill...

So I was looking at a walkie talkie  - I understand its illegal to bring them in,, but I was just going to buy a couple from lazada or Shopee thailand .  Will I have any issue with this plan ??

Also could someone advise of ones they use which is Ok .........if possible , not looking for any  expensive , as we are only on the farm about 100 days a year.

    Any help would be appreciated

    regards

  10. Who stopped us leaving ??  Not sure whether the hotel could have stopped us , however the hotel told we had to stay, not a problem as we had paid for it anyway . However the hotel did  have to give us a letter saying we had completed quarantine with tests , and my misses informed me she had to show this letter at the Thai airways checkin desk when we flew from Phuket to Bangkok.

this might have been different if we had been in Bangkok and left by road and I suppose the hotel could inform the authorities if someone leaves early !!! Maybe a small payment may bypass that obstacle if it is one ...

  11. Has anybody recently been through the COE process , giving the details for 1 night stay and one paid for PCR test, arriving after the 1st of November and been approved. I have a friend and they have booked a flight on the 3rd November and are concerned about 7 days quarantine through the COE process. My concern is I did the sand box for 14 days after day 3 this was converted to 7 days ... I could not leave the hotels early and still had to go through 3 PCR tests, whereas people 3 days later than could leave in 7 and get a PCR refund on one of the tests... any views, thought , comments
