Don't say its impossible. If i walkedinto the U.S embassy with a statement from my U.S. government stating my S.S. payment this is legal proff. Further more if they wanted to verify it all it would take is a few tapes on the computer with your Social Security number to verify your statement. So don't say its impossible

If you would go back to the original post and Lop Buri's answer he gives a list of what is required at Savanaaket Immigration for a non o. There is no mention of finacials. If applying for a non o based on marriage to a Thai or supporting a Thai child financials are not required

Thanks for all the replies. Just for everyone's one' information i went to America for a short trip 8 weeks. When i left there were no problems in our relationship. We have been married 5 years
One day last week she informs me she purchased a new car and trade in MY PAID for 2016 Toyota Yaris. I do t feel there was any intent to maliciously harm me or steal from. I feel she wanted to to surprise and thought she was making me happy. I have not raised any suspicions
that i am angry until i get back into Thailand
I have sent e mails to Isaan Lawyers just to state the facts if it comes to that. I will keep everyone postrd. Thanks again

I thought our reslationship was good. A few days ago when i called she said all happily i have a surprise for you
Then she shows me a pic of the new car. I adk her how she can sell or trade in MY car without me signing off on the title
She says the new car is in her name. Isn't that stealing????
Yes i have documentation that it is or was my car. A d the insurance and road tax were in my name.
I seriousally doubt the police will do anything about forgery.?????

Hello all , I need some advice. I am married to a Thai. While i am away in America for a short time my Thai wife sold MY car that was legally purchased by me and all the paperwork was in my name. I also purchased a house with my money after we were married. the house is in her name of course with myself signing some papers at the land office. I have a pink card proving my address.
What rights do I have as far as the car goes, if any ???? as stated the car was totally in my name and now its gone. Am i entitled to anything from the house ???? Since she in fact stole my car what can I do ???? Can I enter my house and claim my personal items which i purchased ?????
Any advice will be appreciated. I will return to Thailand in the next 3 weeks and would like to know what are my rights before i enter the house.

And people are wondering why the op asked why they are leaving Thailand. More rules brought on by a military government. More money for Thai insurance providers.

What kind of visa did you get and did you show any financials or bank statements. Was your a me non o????

don't do it, find another place like Panama or Ecuador. Thai immigration makes life too difficult here, especially without any friends or family

Well since i started this post i have gotten 5 different quotes from Roojai .
I spoke with them several times and kept getting the run around. 1st they showed comprehensive on my 2016 Toyora Yaris at 342000 which i thought was in the ball park. Their last quote climbed to comprehensive of 404000. I asked them how the comp price could jump so much as my car is not 404000. Their reply was it was in their computer program. Personally i like to sleep better at nite so i went back with original company. Roojai does not instill a lot of confidence in me

Some of you are confusing monthly deposits with with amount in your account. What the topic we are talking about here is not the amount in the bank but the monthly deposits of 40,000 or 65,000. The tellers in my Bangkok Bank in Buriram speak very little English. When I go in to the bank what do I need to tell them that I need a statement showing my monthly deposits. ?????

sorry page 3 where ????

Yesterday a member posted on the name of the letter a person should ask for when requesting a statement of deposits from the bank. I should have wrote it down but i forgot. Can anyone please help me with the name of the letter i should ask for when I go the the bank. The poster said it was very common and most bank employees understand what you need when you mention this name. Thanks all

Thanks to everyone that replied about Direct Express

I have been having my SS. checks deposited directly to Direct Express Then I transfer money to my US bank and to my Bangkok Bank account. I have been trying to get my SS. check deposited into my US bank for fear Direct Express will not have the IAT setup.
I tried to change the deposit on the SS. website and received a confirmation that it was done but when I checked again it still showed my SS checks going to DirectExpress. I called SS in USA and was told there was nothing they could do on the phone. I explained I changed my method of deposit and received a confirmation but they still said there was nothing they could do
I have called and E mailed 2 times over the past month and get no response. Has anyone else had a problem with changing from DirectExpress to another bank ????

It's really very simple, you must go into the Bangkok Bank branch and tell the clerk you want to trsnsfer money out of Thailand to wherever.
You then fill out a form stating whom you are sending the money to, their account number and swift number. You hand the clerk the money and she gives you a copy of the transfer. Usually takes 3 days. Hope this helps
