  1. Thank you those who responded to my query. Previous experience of contacting this office by phone did not lead to success. The language barrier came between us. The round trip by car from my house to Immigration is over two hundred kilometers and I was hoping to avoid this. Oh well! Seat belt and amulet(s) time.
  2. I note a question on the Huahin forum asking if Huahin Immigration is accepting the combined method for renewal of non O retirement visas. There was no response to that specific question. I too am considering using this method. Should there be any reader of this wider forum who has recently renewed a visa in this way at Huahin confirmation that it was acceptable would be appreciated.
  3. I would be obliged if anyone can tell me if the fifteen day period prior to the actual required date for signing - ignoring the period allowed after the actual date before payment is needed- includes Saturday and Sunday or are only working days counted?
  4. One business on the seafront told me that its toilet backs up at high tide and can not be used. On occasions the sea smells dreadful and a murky discharge pours into the sea or onto the beach if the tide is out.My thai Doctor has warned me not to swim in the pier area . He said the sea in Wing Five is clean.
  5. Thank you for your effort to help Joe. I went to the old immigration address. It opened. All it showed was the 90 day report from three years ago. I then attempted to open the new website. Wrong email address or password was the response. This is the second time this has occurred. Each time I changed the password. I was allowed in. No details of previous ninety days were there though. On both occasions when the password was changed I went in two or three times more to confirm that it was working. All was ok then except for the usual missing information and a referral to my local immigration. On subsequent occasions when attempting to enter the site to see if it had updated my information up came the same wrong mail address or password message. This is the present state of play
  6. By welcomed me - poor use of words - I meant that it accepted my registration. I did use the new site using the password that I was given. Basically the site denies all knowledge of my previous ninety day reports although it accepts my password. I have made a new ninety day report since logging on to the new site and I have renewed my visa extension whilst at the same time doing a ninety day. Periodically I sign in hoping that that there will be some information. Thus far nothing. Inshallah!
  7. Thank you to all who answered. Previously my passport was cut when I applied for a new passport. If it is now defaced on collection of the new one then the problem is solved. As for doing my 90 day online yes I am on the new immigration website . It welcomed me but then claimed no prior knowledge of me. When immigration scans for a new 90 day there is no problem though. The problem began following my re- entry ( permit) from abroad three years ago.. and shortly afterwards renewing my permission to stay O retirement visa.
  8. Shortly my passport will be full a new one will be sent from the UK.. Trendy insists on cutting the corners off the old passport when the application for a new passport is made. Should the new passport not arrive before a 90 day sign in is due ( I am on retirement extension) will the defaced passport accompanied by a receipt from Trendy be accepted by Immigration? I am signed on to the immigration website but it refuses to acknowledge that I am legal and refers me to my local immigration office. After three years of denial I can think of no reason why it would suddenly recognise me. I would prefer not to go the postal route.
  9. I registered the birth of my son at the Embassy in Bangkok some fourteen years ago.will the Embassy have forwarded this information to the appropriate place in the UK? If not could you please tell me what address I should write to in the UK to pass on this information. I have sought this address online without success.
  10. A big thank you to both of you. It worked perfectly
  11. I loaded the Lazada app English version on my smartphone. Only the Thai language shows. I note that instructions on how to change the language were given on this forum two years ago but the app has been re- designed and the previous instructions can not be carried out. Help would be much appreciated.
  12. A friend ( genuinely not me) recently obtained a yellow book for the house that he is renting. Shortly he will renew his non immigrant o retirement visa. Given that he will need to show immigration his house contract will he need to provide copies of the blue house book and his landlords ID card too?
  13. When last I renewed my visa at Huahin some months ago - see previous post- I had the bank update my bank book at the same time as they gave me my bank letter. Thus letter and bank book showed exactly the same information. Should this not be the case they can send you away to sort it out.
  14. I renewed my retirement visa ten months ago. I phoned and asked if the bank letter stating money in the bank could be done the day before my visa renewal. The answer was yes. It was accepted on the day. I would suggest phoning and asking if this is still the case. This was Huahin immigration
  15. I noticed a reference within this thread to restrictions on wise transfers ( a previous post )and also the possibility that this could cause problems for those using the B 65,000 income method for renewing retirement visas. Unable to find the original post I would appreciate a pointer in this direction.
  16. I tried and failed to register three times. A red banner gave me the bad news each time. My expectations were fulfilled. In some strange way I am relieved to see that all is normal.
  17. Yet again money has evaporated from my savings account. Checking my bank passbook I discovered that B 34.49 had been removed . This was similar to the sums taken previously - B 34.15. The code was EDC. This code was not listed inside the back cover of the book. The Dep. No. Was 00. Shown this information the bank staff were all- of - a - flutter. After much discussion they phoned head office. Having been down the same road a short time ago and without prompting I said that no payment had been made online or otherwise using the card and that it was a new card with a new pin number obtained after the previous theft of funds ( since returned). Additionally, it had only been used twice on both occasions at an ATM owned by the bank to withdraw cash. After some probing this was accepted. The advice given was that the card should be blocked from use except when used in an ATM and meantime enquiries would be made. The sum taken was so small that without the update of the bank book it would have passed undetected unlike the previous time when a cascade of small sums was removed. It would seem that there is still a weevil somewhere in the works. Those who has money stolen during the previous attack might do well to monitor their accounts . To avoid any possible legal problems suffice it to say that the bank is named after the Capital .
  18. I have not been able to find the complete list of low risk countries referenced in news reports. A Danish friend wishes to holiday here after November first but he is unable to find out if he is low risk. Has a complete list been published?
  19. I have never used my card online for any purpose. Having stopped the card yesterday - bank closing - I said that I would return today to make new arrangements. The bank lady said to do that. On returning today I found the bank was closed for a bank holiday. Ho hum try again tomorrow. At least fifty percent my own fault. I have taken to heart the advise to have two accounts one of which will be for ATM use and also to be informed every time cash is withdrawn.
  20. When I updated my bank book some 80 withdrawals in a twenty hour period were listed. Each withdrawal was for 34.15 Baht. And made from an ATM machine(?) The machine (?) number is shown as( from) 00. My bank card withdrawals from my own branch shows ( from) 02 The bank is investigating and luckily the update was completed and the card cancelled before any real damage was done. The only cash point used recently is that of my bank and I always cover the keyboard. I never use my card online. On one occasion last month a hospital bill was paid with the card. That payment too shows in my bank book as 00. I would be interested to know if 00 is a generic number or a specific one as If it is a specific one my next hospital bill will require a cash payment. Carrying lumps of cash is not clever but it may be required. Presumably the bank - for the usual reasons I can't name it - will come to some conclusion in the meantime I am a little wary of paying my upcoming hospital bill with my bank card.
  21. I was vaccinated in Huahin in the governent hospital but I live in Prachuap Kirikhan town. When asked Huahin hospital said that the vaccination passport was available at any government hospital as a central computer holds the details of all government hopital vaccinations. This proved to be correct. Documents required were passport and copy ( details page) a copy of the green paper provided when vaccinated and fifty Baht. A short form giving address etc had to be filled in. Four days later - as promised - A phone call came saying the passport was ready.
  22. Following the renewal of my O visa in February this year I have had the report to your immigration office message and also a sort of implication that my report was a year overdue. I say sort of because for a fraction of a second a 90 day report made the year before appeared and then blinked out of existence. . Following these online failures my visits to immigration resulted in their computer happily and immedìatly printing out my new 90 day reports. My immigration office is in Prachuap Kirikhan. A very efficient office. It would seem that the problem is widespread rather than just local and most probably not a failure to enter details correctly when a visa is renewed but more a programming error that lurks somewhere within the bowls of the system.
