  1. Hey,

I have been living in Thailand for most of the year. Made a total of 3 trips to my home country in the time. Currently on the longest for about 2-3 months (Europe).

Will I get another 30 day stamp on arrival when flying to Thailand in December ? I will have in/out flights, from and back to my home country and sufficient funds on hand.

Just want to spend christmas in Thailand with the wifey..

Depends on the ultimate goal. This link shows the categories that should pretty much cover all sorts of visits but the end game of marriage, study and/or employment probably needs to be clear at the outset. I imagine the old "to see if it works out" sort of visitor is proscribed like most every other European country.

We have been together for 12 years and I had to leave Thailand about 2 months ago to work in the Netherlands. The ultimate goal is marriage of course.

We couldn't get married as I only got a 6 weeks notice to leave Thailand which wasn't enough to request all documents from the Netherlands and have them translated to Thai.

If she comes on a tourist visa to the Netherlands, can we get married in the Netherlands and she can 'extend' or change her visa within the Netherlands to a long stay visa?

Thanks a lot for your help

  3. Hi,

What are the requirements for my girlfriend to live with me in the Netherlands?

We are not married yet, she has a small business and a bit of money running through her bank account.

I have a job paying above average and can show funds to fully support her.

Can someone explain to me what needs to be done for her to obtain a long stay visa?

    Thank you

I emailed ThaiVisaService and they were very prompt in replying.

No doubt if push came to shove I could make my own way to Laos and apply for a new TV but I guess it would best see how it's done first.

I get the impression these agents are 'known' to immigration  and perhaps that greases the wheels. Or I could just be imagining that.

    You would imagine right..

Just because you had no issues that doesn't mean other people won't or have not had them already

I wouldn't count your chickens if I were you, if you are staying here on 30 day VE you ARE going to have a issue at some point, that is pretty much guaranteed

I don't think anyone is dumb enough to live on 30 days in/out in Thailand these days. Going to immigration Monday for a 12 months extension based on... (none of your business).

  6. He can still avoid the blacklisting. This involves a lot of money, a trip to your home country, a visa agent and a new passport.

Seen it happen and done before.

The new rules aren't in place to keep tourists away, they are in place to make more money. Everything visa related is getting more expensive and sooner or later you'll have no other option than an expensive Elite Visa or something along those lines. Even the retirement visa rules are supposed to be changed in the near future.

    Money talks..

Related to this subject. I welcome comments and advice.

I was midway through a judicial process. I was taking my shipper to Court. At the previous hearing the judge had issued an arrest warrant to capture the shipper (Criminal Defendant). I went to Immigration (now 3 days over), to extend my Visa, in order to complete the judicial process, but it was refused and I was deported at my own expense, after 30 days in detention. (NOT PLEASANT).

Thai Law says. Either contestant involved in Royal Thai Criminal Court proceedings is entitled to visa extension/exemption in order to complete judicial process. It is now known that there was a corrupt conspiracy behind the shipper involving bent cops/Customs. Hence deporting me was perverting the course of justice and protecting the criminal and the corrupt.

I want someone to reply to me and say. 'I've got precisely the right lawyer for you!' THE CASE IS INCONTROVERTIBLE! Corrupt officials broke Thai Law.

Help and advice is much appreciated.

  8. Hey,

Somehow I mixed up the dates and I am now 7 days late for my 90 day period. If memory serves me right, there is some sort of grace period and the max fine is 500 baht, correct?

I plan to go to CW tomorrow as it's a holiday so it will be exactly 7 days from when I should have done my report.

If someone could clarify the consequences - if any - that'll be great!
