  1. Hi

Just a question. Have had a marriage exstension submitted and got the 7 day return slip in passport.

The thing is there was no Tabian Baan avaliable from owner regarding her Condo. We got a letter from the development company. A well known one. Confirming the ownership. The IMO boss says BKK could ask for more. There obviously is no Tabian Baan due to newish condo and City Hall. I think that it should be fine with solid references.

By air is the best option. One friend was on overstay and went to Bangkok by bus and as he left the bus station with his luggage, a police officer corned him and got 10k from him with all the threats of sending him to the IDC and him missing his flight out of Thailand. When the police see foreigners at the bus station with luggage, they suspect that they may be on overstay and may be leaving. At the airport, they are mostly concern with checking your name and the name on the air ticket as well as the photo to confirm that you are the person.

Yes the RTP use bus stations to extort and do what they do best nothing.

Had the same experience in Melbourne on 14th Oct. The boss told me the rules had changed and could be submitted in Melb but had to be approved by Canberra. This was done electronically so only 2 day turn around (delayed 2 days because of current events). Had to supply bank statements and a letter from my wife. For the previous 20 occasions her presence at the consulate was enough. Having a yellow book helped.

Wrong no financial required also your wife was not required. A letter from her is. So I find it hard to believe.

You're probably right about the the consulate wanting the financial proof mate.

But I specifically told them that I was talking about a visa based on marriage and that's the figure they provided.

Like I said, for me, if I'm going to have to provide the new documentation they asked for, I might as well do it from here

    via an extension.

Edit: As Perth only have visa pick up's on Thursdays, it probably pushes it to a two week turnaround, unless like you said,

you apply straight to the embassy.

Yes forget listening to Perth there stupid  and do not know what there talking about. Nothing has changed. I myself are going through IMO and there horrid exstension system. lt is a joke. 1st time last time. They obviously do not like us marrying Thais. Digital hub I do not think so. Dark ages

I don't think the embassy requires any financial proof. I suspect that is something the honorary consulate wants.

They don't show any financial requirement on the embassy website. After selecting your nationality you can find the info here. http://canberra.thaiembassy.org/Home/visa

Perhaps easier to apply by mail to the embassy.

Edit: I think they told you the financial requirements for retirement. The 32,000 AUD number comes out to over 837k baht at today's exchange rate. Perhaps they thought you wanted a multiple entry based upon being 50 or over.

Yes correct who ever told you you need 32000 should be terminated  This is wrong. You only need your wife's info and a letter from her stating your relationship is valid and current. And your passport details and lease or property ownership.papers. All docs signed by you and your wife.

Assuming you have an extension of stay (not a visa) based on work that expires on December 16th ....

    • You need to report the lost passport to the police.
    • Your current permission to stay remains valid until Dec 16th so you don't need to leave the country.
    • Once you have the new passport/police report Immigration will stamp the new passport with permission to stay until Dec 16th.
    • Visas are never transferred, only the permit to stay from the original entry or subsequent extension of stay are.

Or that a maid would work for someone with such an attitude.

I have never had a problem and own 4 condos all studios. I are the employer. you may enjoy being robbed. Good luck to you. I employ 12 Thais and 500 is robbery.

I clean my self when possible. Most Thais are not worth 200. I have to clean again lol. My mother taught us well.

  9. Well very recently l did a TM 30 and it was 5 weeks late. Due to agent of property not doing these. I had some luck  She did not question me took papers and signed the bottom slip..And dated it. And indeed I was given the slip. I asked if it  was to stay in passport. She said no need to..Obviously she updates details on your arrival card. And yes he is legally obligated to give it to you. mine was at Chonburi.

Well I got stamped in and went to speak to an immigration official to inquire about making a complaint. This conversation resulted in me being labeled a threat, I don't agree with this label but that doesn't seem to matter. I called my embassy for help while I was still at the airport but they said there was nothing they could do,  so I should just fly home.

These immigration people as I have said for years. They are a disgraceful bunch of amatures and you should have videoed the whole saga. I  to was not even given my departure card on 2 arrivals He could not speak due to his stupid dust mask around his head. This is what people first see entering the great kingdom. Rude unprofessional people as you have posted here. This whole mess has occurred due to there no care about new government attitude. I feel sorry for you. That's why I do not complain. Very simply I accept there not nice people.

The receipt for the TM30 should be in your passport to prove it was done in case they ask for one again.

Yes I agree and there it is.

  12. I finally submitted a TM 30. Change of address document. I entered on the 25th and moved into condo 26TH. I stayed at my old address 25th as per on arrival card. Although the agent or owner did not notify imo via a TM 30. In fact the agent was clueless. So after 5 weeks I went in and and submitted the forms. I vaguely knew a police officer there and he spoke with the girl. She simply took my documents and completed the slip. I asked her if I need keep in passort ? She said no.

I assume they go into my arrival card number on computer and update the address. is this correct ?

  13. They all want and you also want. Question is are you going to stay with her ?

If so ok buy and also get the lawyer to make a 30 year lease contract on the land :) in your name. This is standard protocol amongst lawyers. The house keep receipts in your name. You can own the dwelling :)

Answer to your question  buy house but play safe. Married is 50 50 spilt
