Maybe, but at least they are mostly polite and allow access. A load of goods is not so obliging

Seems you know very little about the whole subject area.
You are right I have never worked in retail but I have shopped in many supermarkets occasionally with wheelchair users. Access should be available as much as possible.

Did you ever have a real problem? A papercut maybe?
You are doing great - not long ao people had to be hunter gatherers and didn't have people to tock the trees.
Glad you are able manoeuvre between obstacles , not so easy for some, especially in wheelchairs

Do you really mean EVERY aisle??
I have more trouble with Shoppers and trolleys that think they are the only ones in the store, often leaving their trolley in the middle of the aisle while they go 'awalking'
Yesterday yes. It was one one of the medium sized outlets where the aisles are narrower. Their was not staff in all the aisles but their was produce in almost every aisle ready for putting on shelves. Around the chill area they had eggs all emptied on the floor.

There are so many people who choose to live in Thailand who enjoy making mountains out of molehills. More than thirty years ago when I still lived in the United States, I managed a very large food and drug store. The store was open 24 hours a day. Much of the restocking was done at night. However, there was still quite a bit that was done during the day. I never had any customer complaints about staff blocking aisles. In fact, customers could always easily find staff on the sales floor if they needed any help. There are many issues that are much more important to address. Relax, calm down and enjoy the time you have left in your life.
That is alright if you are able bodied. Not everybody his

Could that be because their opening times ??
.... anywhere from 8-10am to 10pm-midnight ??? (similar to the UK though)
Or close to that, so early in the morning and late in the evening (i.e. from 10pm onwards) there is ample time to re-stock already ???
Do staff come at 6am and re-stock ??.... so they're called 'morning crew' ???
AND.. Is re-stocking in the day time that much of a hassle it warrants even a thought, let alone a thread - its comical and pathetic that this is an issue for some people...
... the things miserable whining boomers get their knickers in a twist about is quite astonishing !!!....
It is an issue especially for those people in wheelchairs and who have limited mobility and then have to negotiate these obstacles

Nope... I haven't attacked you personally, I've attacked the inanity of your content and the bigotry of Thai-bashing that comes with it when singling out Thai behavior and levying criticism at Thai's for something that happens all over the world.
So... you may feel butt-hurt at the criticism, consider it unfair and take it personally, but you feel its ok to slander whole nation when you imply that the same behaviour you are criticising is something that does not occur elsewhere.
You don't like being criticised for your unfair criticism of others... Some would call that hypocrisy...
If you were to post something intelligent, you'd have my support !!!...
But you do attack people. You were a 'graveyard shelf stacker'.... so you clearly knew very little... !!! Your words

You seem to attack people personally on here , which is supposedly against forum rules, we are talking about something which needs to be addressed by supermarket companies which would help customers and thai workers alike

You are talking rubbish like many here. Since when did all the shelves run out at the same time. We are talking about the supermarkets that seem to do it all at once

How do you know they don't stock the shelves at night ???
They also keep stock maintained in the day time, that doesn't mean they only stock the shelves at night...
...... But jeeez.... a few of you are going to some lengths to shoehorn a Thai bash out of this thread....
Your making it a Thai bash. Its the companies that make them do it.

6 minutes ago, richard_smith237 said:But you made the rant as if this is a 'Thai only' think and have implied that stocking the shelves exists because Thai's are incapable of organising themselves to stock the shelves at intervals when there are no customers.
As SAFETY FIRST mentioned, as rants go, its up there with one of the best, or rather one of the most pathetic, particularly when considering that supermarkets in our home nations also continue to keep the shelves 'topped up' the shelves during the day time, although the majority of 'shelf stacking' occurs at nights, as it likely does in Thai supermarkets too.
Can't wait for the next rant... its surely going to be gripping stuff.
Now your reply is much nearer the definition of a rant

Hardly a rant. Just someone who likes to shop without negotiating an obstacle course

You are right. But none the less it means goods in the aisle, sometimes waiting to be unloaded due to the lack of staff

Just returned from a well known supermarket chain after having to jump over and push past trollys loaded with goods and trays of eggs on the floor with staff cross legged alongside them. It makes shopping very difficult and makes it impossible to look at or reach certain items. It does not seem to matter what time of day I go in their is always someone stocking shelves and causing a blockage. In other countries they have staff to resupply when the shop is closed. I realise that some products need to be restocked during the day but today every aisle had someone in it and the ones that did not had products causing a blockage.

Fry egg but keep yolk soft. When the white as solidified turn over and add thin slices of cheddar. Allow to melt on the egg then put on toast or bread. Lovely.

Oh no! Soon the whole world will be closed to Brits, including even Britain!
There's not even any room for Brits n Oz any more. All spaces taken by Chinese, Indians and high productivity!
It is not just closing for Brits it is for all tourists. The news outlet reporting is British news so reflects the opinion of them. No doubt other countries who report this will have similar comments from their population
