Why are cops always transferred to inactive posts.

As this is against the law, they should be dismissed and prosecuted, but hey ho this is Thailand.

Well my friend, that suppose to the right law in Thailand. If not they will all implicated the higher up.

If you were a lawyer, you will know that subordinate do wrong is partly higher up fault.

  2. You can borrow her at your comfortable amount, however you must have a mindset that he/she may not return you back.

In my own experience, you can do a legal iou and been certified by officials such as some police from the station or lawyers.

and Maximum Interest is 15% per year. Interestshall not exceed 15% per year; when a higher rate of interest is fixed by the contract, it shall be reduced to 15% per year.

this is the legal rate in Thailand. He/she could report you to police if the interest deem too much.

And remember to have a witness, video cam as a prove.

The Lexus we saw in Sukhumvit seemed lackluster but I can't recall what they had. We popped in, saw 3 or 4 cars and they seemed relatively expensive.

The z4 we ordered came with 5yrs BSI and that should cover at least 3 replacement fuel pumps...

Yes their showroom only fill with top model that why the price is slightly expensive.

How long do you have to wait for your Z4?

  4. Have you consider Lexus? I just bought a Lexus RX 350 at a little over 5 mil. But they do have another option at around 4mil.

Their after service is superb. Their seats is much more comfortable then my 2017 X5.

I think BMW afterservice is not that great if your BSI warranty is over.

  5. Their amulet always sold out during their pre-ordered. If i am not wrong this amulet cost around 50baht but their resell value is around 5-10x if you sell to some Thais whom believed in all this.

I can see that there will be a new model in 2022 for sure, but not sure when. Could be 9 months from now or 18 months.  I'd guess Qtr 1 2022, and at least one article suggests that a diesel-only version may not be available, the diesel would have some mild hybrid tech as well. Probably prices rises on this.

    2005 fortuner launch
    2012 fortuner minor change
    2015 All new fortuner
    2020 Fortuner minor change

Probably 2024-2025 for all new facelift.

Toyota doesn't like to risk and change to another facelift due to current selling very good. Much better then other brand which often doing facelift changes.

You can join the fortuner group in FB. There are many insiders news. Many are working for toyota hq in thailand.

  7. Portable Aircon will only be able to cool directly from the blower. It will not be able to cool down the whole room. I don't think you want this. I regret buying mine, total waste of money. And noisy as hell.

And 15,000 baht is too expensive, I bought mine new (9,000Btu) for 6,000 baht in Tesco lotus. And they take lots more electricity compared to the usual wall mount kind.

I suggest op to buy a second-hand wall mount air-con(now you should be able to find a relativity new, mint condition kind), I believed you can find in FB marketplace from the range of 2,000 baht to 6,000 baht. Installation usually costs 1,500 baht to 2,000 baht.

If Op has a budget of 10,000 Baht to spare. You can buy new aircon in Shopee at around 7,000 baht then find your local aircon company for installation. Defnelly lower then 10,000 baht.

  8. Hello, has anybody here tried shipping stuff from Singapore to Thailand. I have ordered tons of stuff in Aliexpress and i always choose their shipping with local shipping which is from Vpost (Singapore National Post).  Hasn't hit by any tax from Custom yet.

My question here is if i were to purchase a Sony Ps5 from singpaore and ship by Vpost as a gift without declaring the price. Sending to my wife thai name. Will i hit heavy tax rate?

This is a very helpful checklist from UbonJoe:

    1038753461_MarriageExtensionRequirements2 (2).pdf 41.52 kB · 3 downloads

I did it yesterday in the suburbs of Bkk.

Take your wife, plus two photocopies of everything plus originals. We both had to sign most documents.

Photos - we took about 14 and they chose 4. A couple of pics outside showing the house number and a couple inside showing the bed etc

Original TM 30 card, 2 copies plus your registration at your house/condo.

2 copies of Wife's ID card and tabiaan baan.

A couple of passport pics for you.

Your KR 2 or KR 22, marriage certificate, copies of your passport pages and visa stamps.

Bank book and statement. Updated on the day showing a deposit and withdrawal to the account.

Bring a friend (or get someone outside who is willing to do it) to sign as a witness for you (this varies from place-to-place)

Just in case - carry as much original paperwork with you and also bring plenty of patience!

    Good luck!

    RAZZ

So they don’t do biometric scan in Bangkok immigration? That is strange, I thought they implement on every center.

Aside from the list above, it varies from office to office. You'll have to check what your specific office wants in regard to types of photos, witnesses, etc. If you're renting your accommodation you'll likely need a copy of the owner's ID card and the tabian baan where they are registered.

Yes, we are renting a moo ban. Do have to have to renew the contract paperwork? Or last year contract will do?

It is a crude name for Suvarnabhumi international airport (BKK) in Bangkok.

It comes from the airport being built on a swamp.

I see, I may have a emergency to go to Singapore for banking services. Will I be possible to make a re entry from Phuket airport? However my residence is at Pattaya however they does not have the timing I want to fly to Singapore from Pattaya.

  12. Does a shareholder require a degree to apply for a work permit? Planning to open a business with my wife.

Right now I'm already on NON-O visa for less than a year. Which business is the best to open? For example Partnership or Company Limited. However, right now my wife does have Sole Proprietorship Business on her own. Could she apply work permit for me? Which is the best way?

We probably will be doing tourism related stuff such as Hotel as She owns a hotel in Pattaya and I am thinking to do a revamp upgrade.
