My understanding is renewals are 3 months
2 Months for Marriage extensions.
(6) In case of marriage with a Thai lady, the husband who is an alien must have an average annual income of not less than 40,000 baht per month or a money deposit in a local Thai bank of not less than 400,000 baht for the past 2 months for expenses within a year.

AFAIK, the seasoning is 3 calendar months.
2 months.

For marriage to a Thai lady it is two months in the bank.
Income letters are valid for 6 months.

Your Visa died long ago.
You are extending your temporary permision to stay in the kingdom.

All the same as last time.
Apply 30 days before expiry or in a lot of cases you can do 45 days early.
BTW you are not extending a Visa.

So going from a retirement visa to marriage visa need 400000 in bank two months before Retirement visa expires. Can change visa without leaving country?
Thank you Friends
You would not be going from any Visa to another Visa.
You would be changing the reason for the extension from Retirement to Marriage to a Thai lady.
400,000 Baht in the bank for a period of 2 months before application plus a few other things.

The child will be Thai and British.

I have a Non O based on marriage. I had to get a fresh stamp as the visa expired on the 18 of Oct. Current stay ends in January. I needed the multiple entry so I can leave and go to work should I require.
I am now curious about the stat Dec I can do at the Aus consulate. What info do they require for proof of finance?
Thanks again all

I just answered my own question.
They don't require any proof.
That is assuming they are will still be offering this service in a few months time.

Yes you are correct. Here i n Khon Kaen they make you jump through hoops to get a Marriage Visa.
In Savannakhet, they only require your marriage certificate, house book and your wife's ID card.. No income required.
A 12 month extension for marriage is quite easy to obtain in Khon Kaen.
Income or bank balance is required at every Immigration Office.
You are referring to a Non Imm O Visa obtained from a Consulate.

The 7 days is for reporting.
It is not for not reporting at all.
You wont be stopped at the airport but might have a problem next time you visit Immigration.

They do not in the least care whether pension, interest, savings etc. just the amount and that it is brought in from abroad.
They don't care about that either.

The requirements are 800,000 in the bank OR 65,000 monthly income.
Or a combination of the two.

Looks like the way forward is just having 400k or 800k in the bank for 3 months beforehand for the respective visa as they are tightening the screw on many fronts. Also, the useless embassies of the world are ducking out of helping their citizens due to pressure from Thai authorities about income letters etc.
Better just to do the lump sum or get yourself a work permit really imo...assuming you actually want to stay as apposed to the many that are bailing.
2 months for marriage extension.

Nope.

There is no 30 day VOA.
You are probably asking about a Visa Exempt Entry.
Yes it would work but would be more complicated as you would need to convert your Entry to a Non Imm O Visa first.
-
You cannot apply for a Visa at Thai Immigration.
You can apply for an extension of stay.
-
Nope.
You can put anything on the form
-
How do i apply for extension ?, will i have to get out of thailand and come back for it ?
You apply at your local Immigration office.

400,000 has to be in the bank/banks for a period of 2 months when applying.
It must not dip below this during that time.
The updated bank books will show this.
It can be in more than 1 bank but might complicate things a little
You can always apply for a 60 day extension to give you more time.
-
Will this affect things?
Just a bit. Lol.
-
Money in the bank 3 months or 90 days?
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
