You ask for this.
2.22 In the case of a retiree: Permission will be granted for a period of not more
than 1 year at a time.
(1) The alien has obtained a temporary visa (NON-IM);
(2) The applicant is 50 years of age or over;
(3) Proof of income of not less than Baht 65,000 per month; or
(4) Account deposit with a bank in Thailand of not less than
800,000 Baht as shown in the bank account for the past 3 months at the filing date of the application. For the first year, the applicant should have that amount in his bank account for not less than 60 days or
(5) Annual income plus bank account deposit
not less
than Baht 800,000 as of the filing date of application

Yes. Far too early to apply.
Go back in October sometime.
-
To be honest I found it difficult to understand anything that was written.
Did you have any kind of Visa? If yes then what kind?
Did you have an extension of stay?

Yes but she would have needed 500,000 Baht in the bank.

A total waste of money in my view but it is his money to do with whatever he wants.?

They wont issue a Retirement Visa but they will issue a 12 month stay for the purpose of retirement.
It should be pretty straightforward.

A boyfriend/girlfriend does not count as a family member.
You have to be married.
-
1. I would put retirement but it probably does not matter.
2. 12 Months
3. 800,000
4. Yep. They only want the bank balance.
I would have thought that you were cutting things a bit fine but I could be wrong.

She can put 400,000 in your bank if she wants.

The most you would get at immigration would be 7 days to leave the country.
You can get another Tourist Visa from a nearby consulate outside the country.
-
You can do it during the final 30 days of any stay.
-
Non Imm O Visa from Consul in US and extend every 12 months in Thailand.
Or a Non Imm O-A Visa in US. This would get you up to two years stay.
Then extend every 12 months in Thailand.
When you are married you will have more options.
I would forget about starting a business and just retire.

Start all over again and apply for a Visa.
-
She can continue as before.
800,000 baht in your bank account.
-
Last time round I tried 2 or 3 Thai cards all refused.
Ended up sending them a bankers draught.
-
You do not have any Visa. That died years ago.
Khon Kaen Immigration allow applications 45 days before your current permission to stay ends.

I doubt if you have a Visa.
You probably have a 12 month permission to stay.
90 day report will need whatever they require.
Not a big deal.
You can do whatever you want with the 800,000 Baht.
-
Applications are always given 30 days under approval.
There is no exception.

Does this rule apply to EU passports as well? Where can this type of info be found thanks
Your Passport has to be valid for the length of your stay.
-
You do not need a medical or police certificate.
Yes you can do it in Thailand.
It would be easier if you could obtain a Non Imm O Visa before arrival but not a problem if you cannot.
Don't waste money on agents as it is very easy to do yourself.

It all depends on where you apply.
Some require the tm 47 form and copies of a couple of passport pages.
-
Are you asking about a Visa or an extension of stay?
If an extension nothing has changed.
Only needs notarising if using one or two immigration offices.

You probably wont get one.
What was your 90 day visa given for?
