You must come to Thailand and so does everybody, because words cannot describe the people over here.

you can direct the conversation to things that you are curious about.
only direct the conversation but not change the way they think and talk about!

Quite agree with you op, & when 'they' don't understand english, just shout at them.
I used to shout at them but not any more after one of them pulled the knife in my face

then you can converse about the topics that you find important... they don't just speak about toenails.

Quite right never learn it as they will not understand you most of the time if you tried. I don't want to talk about som tam, lakorn or hear gossip about the neighbors anyway. Just get the basics and forget trying to converse with them, even the natives have trouble with the language at times leave them to it.
I love the way you think

Then it is also your opinion, that thai people should not learn/understand english

If you don't speak the language how do you know your finger nails are the main topic of conversation ?
I'll be glad to punch you in the face

Some people say that learning other languages makes life easier but it is not, because for instance in Thailand, people over here talk about everything. When I date some girls some do really personaol things like cutting my finger nails, Suddenly the news is every where so, cut the Bullshit I don't want to learn local language any more except for some words to go by.

Should be ok for a while yet. Many years ago, and I mean many, you could get a multi B at many consulates just for the asking and paying the fee.
This may be my last as I will change to retirement extension ( not a visa lads, just to remind you ) when this MO finishes.
Back to point A in the thread, I just want to say as long as foreigners can prove they have legitimate means of income to live in Thailand which its revenue mostly is dependent on tourism why bother from getting visas and visa runs not forgetting those who get killed doing such useless non profitable and zero security clearance.

If they trow another curve ball at me (for example not able to get a new NON-O)
As far as I know you will never have a problem getting Non-O visa as long as you are married to a Thai wife, and for me it is too early to think about it. I like to deal with things as they occur, because you never know what could happen future speaking.

On what basis did you get the Non-O ME ?
At first I just told consulate representative that I am early retiree and I want to live in Thailand, then at my second visa renewal I showed them my condo title deed.
-
I just got my second one year non O multiple visa hardly from Thai consulate back home, and I was told by a friend here that I might run into problems or even canceling my visa due to frequent issuing.
I want to know if that could be future problem or not since I am under fifty years old?
appreciate any add on

In homicide cases it is up to the legal guardian of the victim, murderer must be executed if guardian demands death penalty, or guardian can be compensated also guardian can forgive the murderer which is the hardest choice to do.

Don't get confused with all these good advices. You also can take the "short cut way", like so many retirees do, especially in Pattaya. An immigration lawyer / agent could do all the paperwork for you, even provide you with the needed financial requirements. Costs, everything included between 13 - 26k. You don't need to put 800,000 k in a Thai bank account.
It's easy and all the stamps are legally issued by the immigration.
Relax and have a good time without getting involved with the sometimes unpredictable Immigration people.

What if I'm not 50 years old yet, would I be considered by an immigration lawyer or an agent please?
I don't want to learn local language
