Why on earth would you expect Thais to learn English to make your life easier? You are in Thailand. People speak Thai here, not English. It is one of the difficulties of living in a foreign country where you don't speak the language. You came to live here, they didn't;t beg you to come here. Learn to speak Thai.
They are Immigration. Dealing with foreigners. How can they do there job properly without speaking another language.

Hope they visit Korat Immigration

Outside the track. I would think that most attendees on big bikes already wear safety gear. What was done to target the average helmet-less Somchai on his step-thru through the media on a national level?
I have no idea, just telling you what I saw. Did you watch Thai TV over the weekend? Do you know the media did or didn't campaign about road safety or are you just assuming?

An opportunity missed. But hey, as long as the baht keeps rolling in and the trough gets refilled then the powers that be don't really give a sh1t about reducing loss of life on the roads.
They did. There was a big marquee promoting motorcycle safety right outside the track.

Okay, well let’s say one of the bullets he fired in a public parking lot ricocheted off a car into your daughter’s head, would you be feeling so sympathetic?
You ricocheted my question. What would you do if somebody harassed your family? Shout at them? Call the police? Your dreaming.....answer to your question I would kill the <deleted>

I understand the dynamic of a parent and their child. That doesn’t mean you have a license to do as you please.
Well you don't just get a daughter now..they don't fall out of the sky. Most fathers are not 'angry blokes', just good guys who want the best for there kids. What would you say if somebody threatened your family? What if somebody harassed your wife/mother? What would you do Mr perfect?

So you have no experience on feelings from father and daughter. Ever father would do the same.

Ah! I didn’t know that. Fair enough. Shoot the guy in a parking lot, then. And if by chance you kill or injure any bystanders, just repeat, “He’s been pestering my daughter for years. Quit your complaining. Yee haa!!”
Do you have daughters?

Hope not. As far as I am concerned, driving around with a firearm is a major offense, effective prison time should be the rule.
What if it was your daughter? Good on him.

Why not just rent a small house in a neighbouring province - Buriram - and apply at their offices instead?
Why should I? How can I renew my work permit with a Buriram address?

I'm not over 50. I just gave my experience of trying to extend at Nakhon Ratchasima Immigration by way of income.

So, what was the result? They make you get a Non-B type extension, instead of a Non-O based on marriage?
In general, IOs seem to hate processing marriage-based extensions of stay, because of the reams of pointless paperwork, sending off for approvals, etc. Many have applied for them, but if showed enough bank-money, were given retirement-based extensions that they did not want, instead. I would guess this is just that office trying to avoid doing their job - or maybe fishing for you to go to an "agent" so they get some pocket-money for their trouble.
He would not be the first. At Jomtien, you can also be refused, even if you have met every qualification. The result was I had to deposit 400,000b in my bank. Not really fair when I pay tax & social security, but what can I do?

Are you really trying to claim that a 40,00Baht income, honestly earned and provable was denied as being acceptable for an extension of stay based on marriage? Really?
Yes 100% 2 years in a row. Have shown tax returns, social security payments and bank statements. Why would I lie?

What a joke!! Or you are misunderstanding? Why would anyone need a Thai work permit to receive a salary in another country and transfer it to Thailand???
Its no joke. I live and work in Thailand and was told by immigration the income has to come from overseas. What don't you understand?
-
Hope your not in Nakhon Ratchasima. I have tried for 2 years with a work permit earning 40,000b p/m. Each time was told income has to come from abroad. Good luck

Allopurinol is a good preventative if you have a propensity to get gout attacks. My mother took it for most of her life and never had an attack that I was aware of. I took it for some time as a young man until I got sick of taking a pill every day and stopped. Big mistake.
I controlled flare-ups with colchicine and ever increasing doses of strong anti- inflammatories. Bigger mistake. Eventually, when other things started to go wrong, I went cold turkey, and this allowed the gout to take over my whole body. Not a good time.
Febuxostat was the thing that started the recovery, but when the hospital discovered they were importing a non approved drug (from Singapore) I was forced onto Allopurinol for some time until feburic received approval in Thailand.
From my experiences with both drugs feburic is the superior for treating advanced tophi gout. Trails in the US have confirmed this, although recently concerns have arisen about some side effects.
The OP has indicated his problems may be advanced, so I feel advice to take colchicine or the preventative, may not be the best way for him at this stage. He should consult a rheumatologist.
Where do you buy Feburic from and how much is it? Can't find it in my town.

Thanks for the info. Checking my UA level tomorrow and will check in the pharmacy to see if they have Feburic. Will keep you posted.

Thanks for all your input
