  1. I know racial profiling is not poitically correct inthe wesr but it might be a good idea to do it here.

The UK has a terrible record with child abusers, fourth in the world behind south africa, india and zimbabwe according to research.

These scum frequently prey on child her and in other SE Asian countries.

Putting up with a bit of extra scutiny would be worth it if it meant keeping the kids.safe.

You should listen to your wife.

He has lost his job, his house has been egged and the police are involved.

The thais liked it because it was reported. That is what your wife told you.

You were met with silence because she couldnt be bothered explaining to you. Let me guess, you cant understand thai.

Now if you are man enough, go and tell you were wrong and apologise.

Next time she is silent consider that you are probably wrong again.

The authorities,     like to demonize the foreigners now days.

It keeps the heat off the locals. ( good guys in bad guys out ) slogan.

Something i find very offensive,   when you look at what the locals do

here,   in regards to the law every day.  It keep the xenophobia at the correct level ,  for there culture.. :bah:

But the guys should not  resort to thieving .

its time to go home if its that bad,

you get it all free now in the uk ,   no matter who you are.

    what a laugh that is.

Also the notion that it was some kind of prank is just  absurd.

i would say,   the two guys have been tea leaves all there lives.

but i would only fine them the same as any local.

No deportation,  No hangings,   No public floggings ,  No  cutting off

hands.   a week in nick, maybe   :jap:

           xenophobic????

Did you realize it was reported in a farang Owned newspaper ona farang owned forum?

    Being demonised you say?

. Farang owned newspaper in a farang forum. You have imagined it

I doubt very much it was their first time stealing from the locals. I would give them two years in a thai jail. They were not hungry, just too tight to pay. The thai police are not picking on farangs, they are going hard on all crime. Maybe you believe farangs are special and deserve special treatment.

2,500 posts? Nothing better to do?You probably should get out more. The thais are very friendly. S lot of fun also.

Did when I lived there.  Having a child changes your perspective somewhat, especially if you want them to have every opportunity in life.

Would I want to go back and live there after he finishes his education? No but don't tell my wife that!  Mind you she has said that she prefers to live in the UK even though we are poorer for doing it.

Sorry it didnt work out for you. I dont want my kids   going down the degree, job, Mortgage, wage slave rat race route. Better to have your own business and thailand with its low taxes, low wages, low rents is much better in my humble opinion.

But everyone is different and i am sure government provided education would be better inengland than here.

But back on topic, do the thais cause much trouble in the UK? Shopliting, counterfeitting, fighting and killimg the locals, etc etc, the sort of things i listed from events this year In thailand?

    Ps

i am enjoying my eigth year of my thai honeymoon and love it more every year. I am still smiling everyday.

But i understand it isnt for everyone. It has come a long way since i first.came in the 1970s, thats for sure. Good to see them come up.so quickly. They have really left their neighbours to the west, north and east for dead.

Officers arrived and detained two British nationals, forty-one year old Mr Joseph Hdeall and forty-three year old Alan Lostall.

Can they be send to Australia?

    No thanks.

We took in boatloads of english about 240 years ago. They didnt really  assimilate with the locals.

The ten pound poms that came later  were not much better.

We now have similar problem as the thais with the quality british tourists being arrested daily. and being a financial drain on the taxpayers.

Luckily soccer isnt popular so we dont get the trouble that the brit hooligans cause all over europe.

How about we.just send them back. And ban them from ever returning after they serve their jail terms.

  7. I think it may be because of the original owner, george?,leaving.

Before tvisa had a lot of helpful info concerning expat life. Lately, it has been more tabloid clickbait style of the british trashy magazines and newspapers. I thought they might even add a page three girl.

I wont name it, but one of the pattaya newspapers they source from has degenerated signifigantly since Howard left in my opinion

    .

I think thaivisa started off to help expats and george promote his businesses, but since he sold up the focus seems to be more on number of clicks with often rediculous headlines and more of a thai bashing angle and focusing more on what the english members like to read and less international.

  8.   the last thing we want in our great country is a whole lot of these uninvited expats showing up.

They will sit around in drinking in brothels all day and end up marrying our young prostitutes.

They will start an expat forum Aussievisa and instead of contibuting to the country will sit around reading about every little petty crime and complaining about Aussieness all day.

They wont even  bother to learn our language and.will get angry when we misinterpret their hand signals and.dont do things how they want it and then call US stupid.

They will complain and moan about filling out a simple form every three months and will constantly tell us that their country does everything better. They will want special rights and expect the taxpayer to foot the bill so it can be more back home.

despite our hospitality they will complain constantly about us all day and wont try to assimilate.

Australia is for Aussies. Well for the ones that got sent here about 240 years ago. The other ones that have been here for.40,000 years dont count so much,  but we graciously have given them the right to vote now.

There is no ability as far as I am aware, for private owners and Landlords to register themselves, guests and long term renters online regarding the TM30.

Only registered hotels have that privilege. Anybody else needs to do it via there local immigration office.

You are correct mainly. But you can register yourself without being a registered hotel if you could be bothered. But you firstly have to go to immigration and fill out a pile of forms.

Easier if you are not a hotel or guesthouse to just go and get the forms.

The funny thing about it is that if everybody actually did abide by the law then the line at jomtien would extend to the beach and they would change the rule as it would be impractical.

Pattaya has a new" boss" who is cracking down on everything from poor food vendors, to bali hai pier boat owners, to illegal structures etc etc. This is just a part of it.

I know noone wants to believe it but the days of the beach side of walking street are numbered also.

A certain somebody was on his way very recently when he had to double back to bangkok because somebody had died. A delay resulted as that certain somebody is now occupied with other matters but he will be back. He isnot a fan of the pattaya scene nor of the farangs that it attracts.

    Goodnight.

Usual general comments.... but I have a serious question.

How are you meant to register relatives or friends who come to visit?

    What is the process?

My son is coming to visit/stay for a while so what should I do to make sure all is legal??

How about some info on the form, the place to report (surely not everyone has to go to the immigration offices?)

Can you report with a form at the local police station?

    .

You would think that a website called thaivida would actually do a bit of research and answer these concerns rather than just paste often dodgy news reports with dodgy headings and then allow the usual uninformed ranters to rant on with their uninformed theories.

    Here are some facts.

The owner or leaseholder is by lawrequired to register any foreigners stating over night.

If they dont they are up for a fine of 1600 and the person staying is required to pay 4000 baht.

You can get the firms at immigration

    You can do it online.

More people have been fined than the ones listed on thaivisa.

The seven indians recently fined were tourists who were only in pattaya for four days and eere fined 4000 each.

YouCAN register at any local police station but nmost statiins wont have the firms and wont know what you are talking about.

As far as i know they are coming down hard on this at jomtien and sri racha. Maybe a bit in chiang mai but nowhere else .

If you refuse to pay they will lock you up until you do.

The websire broke down 3weeks ago on a friday and when phoned they said not to worry about it for that weekend.

So to answer your questioN, yes, you are required to inform them your son is staying and you can get the form from immigration.

I am not going to respond to anyone else on this matter. Perhaps thaivisa people could call them and confirm what i have just said and ask about any other questions for their loyal and somewhat obsessed readeRs. I dont understand why people post if rhey havent got a clue. It just causes angst and confusion.

I am certainly not going to waste my time arguing with people here who seem to believe if they didnt read abiut it on thaivisa then it didnt happen.

I tead plenty of newsworthy things in the thai press that are totally ignored by this site or they are reported weeks after the event. This story is a good example. It is old news.

    Sorry about my spelling.

Typical Thai mhety. We can't do anything alone, but feel like tl  tard men when there is a bunch of them. Dogs run in packs do I need to say more?

What are you on avout?  It was not a group of men like a bunch of euro football hooligans or an american biker gang. It was a single thai male.

The thais put up with heaps of Foreign drunk idiots. This one assaulted the thai first and as a result got kicked in the head. I would do the same. In my experience the japs are terrible drunks. Nasty, rude and aggressive.

  12. It is similar to buying an ex rental car.

The seals will be worn out, electrical wiring problems and probably a whole lot of future problems you cant see on the surface.

Had the guts thrashed out of it and had hundreds or thoudands of people treat it as a rental and do things that noone would do to it if they were the owner.

A bad choice, plenty of other cars on the lot.

My post referred to brits killing thais and raping their children and an apology that was certainly justified.

You are more concerned with me putting down people who constantly slag off thais (3,000+ posts) and the people you probably think are your internet friends. Proves what i said. Thankyou.

Havent got anymore time for you. Sorry. I am heading out for a night of fun with my thai friends. Have fun with your computer.

Some people fit in easily with the thais, others really struggle.

    Best of luck to you.
