Why waste your time with such a post? It's doesn't take a genius to pay double for any given procedure. You don't even bother to recommend anyone in particular. So it could literally be anyone who books a space there.

I re-read what i wrote as i was driving home and realized you would have to do the opposite: buy nmve first, then a 2.5" sata3 enclosure to retrofit.
Hindsight is 20/20
??
Why would anyone do such a thing?
That would be akin to putting a Mini's engine in a Ferrari.
SATA III and PCIe are different interfaces. .
You need a casing with, for an example; a USB 3.1 Gen (1/2) to a PCIe Gen 3 x (2/4) lane bridge controller.

Hmm kingston uv500 240gb 2.5"
i wonder if the 2.5" case could be removed and reveal the nvme pcie stick?
Huh? Why do you imagine there would be NVMe technology on a SATA SSD?
That'll be a no.

It is possible i am mistaken. But there is one sure way to find out (you put it in and see what happens). Newer laptop motherboards (8th gen compatible, maybe 7th gen intel also) can handle up to 64GB.
Some manufacturers may not have updated the literature or want you to buy the "gamer" model. But the Amazon.com reviews help prove my point that it may be possible.
Advice had a real special on 10.10; ฿2490 for 960gb Apacer Panther as340 2.5"!!
480gb was ฿1390.
But only 893gb usable in practice :(
Tip: Look out for 11.11 next month for major suppliers.
I have considered adding m.2 pcie nvme 240 or 480gb. We will see what the future holds.
After 2 week return period is passed, i might sell the 1tb hdd that came with it. Along with the intel optane memory.
--------
I think the original q was missed entirely though (where to locally source 1x32gb sodimm ram stick)
Hopefully you won't have issues with NVMe compatibility.
Good price on the APACER, though still have the concern that you are compromising on the quality of some components, whilst overspending on others.
The DRAMless AS340 certainly isn't amongst the best SATA III SSD out there.
I didn't miss the question about the 32 GB RAM module. It's just likely that you can utilise Google as much as anyone else.
If you can only find Samsung modules, why are you expecting to find 'value' RAM for less?
You'll actually have to find someone making them first, even if only on something like AliExpress. Then you might find someone who stocks them locally.
At the moment, it looks like Samsung. Which is likely what is being sold locally at 6,490 baht.
Seems to be a bit of a palaver, unless there are reasons why you would actually need 36 GB of RAM on a mid-range laptop.
As they say, up to you. But it's going to cost you, either way.

https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/537125/install-m2-ssd-on-aspire-5-a515-51g/p8 might be useful for when it comes to compatibility.
ACER suggest just 16 GB of RAM can be added; https://prowly-uploads.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/uploads/landing_page_image/image/120991/2018_next_acer_IFA_Product_Specifications.pdf
As do Crucial; https://uk.crucial.com/gbr/en/compatible-upgrade-for/Acer/aspire-a515-53g

You'd be surprised if you have several tabs open just how much GB ram just firefox/chrome can use.
But multitasking, especially graphics editing type of programs, can easily take 0.5-2GB or more depending on the complexity. It really depends on the user.
8th+ gen intel and 3rd+ gen Ryzen notebooks can accept 64GB memory (2x32GB). You can check bios and also the OS properties when you login. On the amazon listing, several customers actually posted screenshots proving this.
64 bit operating systems.
This particular laptop came with dvd drive, and it looks like they crippled the motherboard by only having 1 empty slot of RAM. (already 4GB on-board RAM) so with 16GB stick the total is 20GB; w/ 32GB stick, total is 36GB.
The intel optane memory can be swapped for a m.2 nvme pcie ssd. But for now, 1TB 2.5" SSD + intel optane will suffice.
At least the upgrading and swapping hdd/ssd/m.2/ram is simple. And the cooling is pretty good so far.
Since so many are curious as to the model laptop, you can look here: Acer aspire 5 A515-53G-59M2.
I already knew which memory type i needed. Just was asking what domestic options i had to purchase a 1 x 32gb stick (besides MemoryToday)...Jib and Advice dont seem to carry this.
Just noted that you have stated that you have already fitted a 1 TB SSD.

Your money would be better spent on SSD drives. Move the PCIe SSD to 256 GB, such as the https://www.invadeit.co.th/product/solid-state-drives-ssd/adata/256gb-xpg-sx8200-pro-pcie-gen3x4-m-2-2280-ssd-asx8200pnp-256gt-c-p041443/ and the SATA to an SSD, with the capacity of your choice, with DRAM, such as the Crucial MX 500 or the Samsung EVO 860.
Cheaper and more effective that buying a 32 GB module of RAM.
-
Perhaps it's a laptop with single channel memory. Dual channel is always better.
Though, like others, interested as to why 32 GB of RAM and as to whether he has SATA or PCIe SSD fitted.

i dont think you ever just need an implant unless the neighboring teeth are screwed (pun intended).
the tooth can be pulled and a bridge done. if your not given that option=likely scam. if you ask afterwards and they admit the option=likely scam.
wait until the dentist makes full recommendations, say nothing. then ask about alternatives, if they pony up with other options thats how you know they are trying to scam you.
Why do you insist on posting nonsense so definitively?
You would suggest damaging two healthy teeth, in so that you can place a false tooth in between?!
An implant means that you don't have to damage the teeth on either side.
How else, do you imagine, that they can place crowns on the healthy teeth? They need damage them, in so they can place crowns on them.
In addition, if either one of those teeth ever go bad, that's the bridge gone.
Get off this thread, you are dangerous!

I made reference to qualifications and equipment with regard to mine and many other people's recommendation. Are you unable to read? Look again. They are there.
So what can you tell about the qualifications and equipment available with regards to your 'recommendation'?
Bad enough that you bumped an eleven month old thread to post it. But worse that there is absolutely no information other than he is "good natured and funny".
Ridiculous.
Their advertising board states "Implants from 45,000 baht". Does he have a 3D scanner at his disposal? Is he an oral surgeon or a General dentist...or just "good natured and funny"?
I think I would prefer an oral surgeon and a hospital for when it comes to invasive surgery.

I just had 7 implants in my front upper teeth done in the states.I personally would avoid at all costs going to Bangkok Pattaya hospital for the implants they did a front upper implant on a friends mouth that chipped in 2 & a half weeks & they told him to pony up more money for a new tooth No Guaranty whatsoever & they charged him a million baht. The U.S. was only $10,500 a tooth . The premium way to have them done is six months after they do the initial work the teeth are installed. Any quicker they do not last as long. You can read up on this I did before getting mine done & all the experts said 6 months to heal before they set the implant -s in. Bone graft is usually a good idea because your bone matter will recede over time & the last thing you want to do is cheap out on an expensive venture & have to start from scratch if it were to fail later.
I would recommend a dentist here but the ones that were good then may not be good now is why for major work I have my home country fix my teeth. At least I have a written
Guaranty when it is done & I know the dentist isn't going to be gone next year. They do tend to come & go in Pattaya.
Good luck on doing it without being put under . Mine was quite painful (cause I did 7 together) But you can get Valium from a clinic cheap 30 baht +the 100-150 for the doctor to see you to take the edge off the experience.
Wish I could give you a good referral but my dentist that I really liked changed once he got popular & charged more & got lazy. Alright for Xrays & a semi decent cleaning but I wouldn't use him for an implant.
Good luck & I would read up on your best plan of attack. Whatever you do don't choke & go for the 1 day miracle. You will have problems later. *If it needs a bone graft it takes time to heal, they cant just screw in the implant over a new graft.
Ms Suwangatte at Phyathai Sri Racha comes highly recommended and has all of the facilities of a hospital at hand. Certainly has been there for more than ten years. Not one of those roaming Implantologists.
You could have had your work done under General for perhaps around US$1320 per tooth plus the cost of Theatre.

Sorry my mistake it wasn't nearly 15,000 stabbing's it was nearly 15,000 incidents of knife crime, so that obviously makes it ok then ????
London recorded the highest rate of 169 offences involving a knife per 100,000 population in 2018/19.
BBC analysis has revealed that London has 16 of the top 25 knife crime hot spots in England and Wales.
The data from 34 of the 43 police forces include crimes of assault, robbery, sexual offences, the threat to kill, attempted murder, or murder committed with a blade. The report comes as the capital looks set to see the murder rate surpass that of last year, which was already a decade-high level.Analysis in May by the London Assembly’s Conservatives claimed since Labour’s Sadiq Khan became mayor in 2016, the city has seen knife crime rise by 52 per cent.
Are you and the 'Conservatives' hoping to blame knife crime on Sadiq Khan??
QuoteMayor of London Sadiq Khan said the rise in these violent incidents was "unacceptably high", and they were "a national problem that required national solutions from the government"
I hear kids of different hue, shouting that they will cut someone during an argument. Adults too.
What do you suggest should be done?
Weren't knives used in the murder of Stephen Lawrence?
Shall we blame the Conservative government, since they have been in power over these periods?
The BNP has been trying to cover up their spots, unsuccessfully, for many years now.
But they expose their real selves so easily.

See a recent conversation i had with a friend awaiting a hospital appointment, " i hope they don't send me to North Midd hospital, i can't stand going their with all of them foreigners walking around spitting everywhere" suggest you pay it a visit to confirm what she ses.
When your 'friend' next needs to visit a hospital, I suggest she avoids all foreigners, even the doctors and nurses that would treat her.
She can wait for an 'English' doctor or an 'English' nurse. Not 'British' mind you. As no doubt if it weren't for the 'foreigners', you'd be having a go at the Scots and the Welsh and the Irish.

You 'embrace' multiculturalism, I do not. Let's just leave it at that.
Another thing about your statement which confuses.... If you are against 'multi-culturalism, does that mean that you are against Westerners being allowed to migrate to Thailand and God forbid, enter into any form of sexual congress with the women from a different culture?
Do you mean that you are ok with multi-culturalism, as long as it benefits you?
That explanation somehow fits with the narrative of the tables being turned. That perhaps you don't believe in multiculturalism, but you are happy enough to be blind to it when you are exploiting the situation.
Not so happy when the tables are turned and you feel like the exploited. Now you are complaining about how you are being priced out of Thailand and made to feel unwelcome.
The irony....
Please, clarify.

If you've lived there for most of your life, then you would know that is has been multi-cultural around there for tens of years. Minimum of forty years, since one of my friends was born on the Chadwick Road there.
So it's strange that you state having lived near there, since it has been 'multi-cultural' for as long as I remember.
So how old are you that you appear to have a concern about it now being 'multi-cultural'?

And I'd hardly call them idiots. People who go round stabbing others often fatally are violent thuggish savages, anyway that's what I and others call them.
One of my neighbours was mugged a few months ago by a young black man. He did not just rob her he beat the daylights out of her in broad daylight at the same time.
She is in her early sixties and will not leave her home alone any more. She and her husband are looking at joining white flight and moving out of London all together. Luckily they can afford to.
I was in Brixton two nights ago. Travelled there from my home in Pimlico. Good pizza restaurant there. Franco Manca. Met a senior official from the Department for International Development whilst I was eating. Interesting.
Was in Peckham yesterday, as they don't have an ALDI near where I live. So I have to travel if I want to visit one for any reason. Though I do have four Waitrose, a Sainsbury's superstore and an M&S nearby.
Peckham is a bustling area with lots of students. A mix of long term residents of all hues, new people moving in. Was in the Bellenden Road area with friends just the other day. Have you been there?
Perhaps your problem is that you act like an outsider and therefore are an outsider. Afraid of anything that looks different.
I am not afraid. This is my London. Best city in the world. Get out there. I'm in a different part of London almost every day.
I love South London. Amazing architecture. Lots of character. Beautiful green spaces.
Wherever I go, no matter which area, I greet people with a "good morning" if I'm out bright and early, training.
I don't see life in the way that you do.
If I see anyone not respecting my city, they get an earful. Throw rubbish on the ground and I'll be asking them why they are doing so.
See an argument, I'll try to diffuse it before it goes too far.
I can go through areas that are predominantly Portuguese or South Asian or......so what? I can get some authentic foodstuffs.
Life is what you make it. You can sit around slagging off everything around you or you can make the best of your days.
So you won't see me slagging off the British women like many do, in describing their own in a derogatory fashion. Nor will I slag off my country, as many do did in proclaiming Thailand as the best thing since sliced bread. Many are now eating their words.
I just try to love everything I do, where ever I am.
So no, I don't subscribe to your categorising people because of the shade of their skin.
I've tried both Brixton and Peckham and probably any area you care to describe.
I have friends who grew up there and have visited often. I travail most areas throughout West and South London and some areas of North London. Haven't spent that much time in East London, other than areas near the river.
What's your plan? To ask all immigrants to leave? Perhaps we can go back and ask the Danes to not invade.
Some people just need someone to blame for their miserable lives. London is great.

15,000 stabbings??!! I defy you to me the evidence. I'll accept any kind of statistic. Exactly the kind of person that I described earlier. Reading without understanding.
No doubt you are equating 'knife crime' with stabbings.
I actually visit all of those areas and more, even when dark(best time to do training when there is not much traffic polluting the air) and haven't witnessed any "township violence". Nor even any threatening behaviour.
You comments are beneath contempt. Your friend too sounds like a 'winner'. Birds of a feather and all that.

There are way too many people chasing way too few homes and way too few decent well paying jobs and yet more people are being allowed to pour in every day.
The Grenfell Tower tragedy summed things up. Immigrants who were mainly claiming welfare being packed into a block of flats from which there was no escape in the event of a fire.
In 1945 there were 2.5 billion people in the world. There are now around 7.5 billion and many of them want to live in our comparatively prosperous Western nations.
We used to hear of the black townships in South Africa yet overlook the fact that there are now black townships in London. The violent crime that was associated with these African ghettos is now being replicated in London.
Someone earlier cracked a joke about stab vests. It's no laughing matter if you live near one of these London townships particularly if you have sons or grandsons.
I too live in London. I fancy myself as a bit of an explorer. Seeking out new places.
I've yet to discover these "black townships" and "African ghettoes". Where can I find them? Exact locations and I'll take a look for myself.
Township violence? Have you taken leave of your senses? More like kids being encouraged to attack each other.
Apart from a few idiots stabbing each other, you'll see more violence in a city centre up north after a night of drinking.
I fail to understand why you brought Grenfell into it. That had more to do with the policies of that particular council, who also failed to heed the repeated warnings given by the Residents Association, that a tragedy was imminent.
Do you think they were all sitting on their backsides? No doubt many had low paid jobs and there were others who owned their apartments.
Immigrants fuel the wealth of the "comparatively wealthy western nations". They do the jobs that the people already there don't want to do.
See how the country would fare, if all of the 'immigrants' got up and left. Where would we draw the line as to who should leave?
Immigrants who arrived within the past five years? Ten years? Fifty years?
It's a well worn theme to blame the newest wave of immigrants for the ills of the country.
On the one hand one could blame the Poles for undercutting the Brits and doing a better job. On the other, thank goodness we have hard working people who will do the job at a reasonable price.
If you don't have the willing labour, you have to put up with idiots holding you to ransom. Maybe turning up for work, maybe not.
A sense of entitlement. Enraged when someone else comes along, offering to do the job for much less and happy to live five to a small apartment in order to save money for a better life.
Same thing happens around the world. That's why you have Burmese, Laotian, Cambodians going to work in Thailand.
Things don't stay the same.
That's possibly why you loved Thailand. it took you back to more simple days. Unfortunately, the same thing has occurred there too. Changing policies affect us all.
Blaming immigrants for your ills isn't the way forward. Some are good for the country and some are not.
Black township and African ghettoes? Listen to yourself man. You are totally out of touch.
I went past a Territorial Army base the other day. Almost every single young person who filtered out was black. Very many looked African, to my eyes.
So they, at some point, could be fighting for your/their country.
Have some respect for yourself, rather than to repeat, parrot fashion, some nonsense from the likes of The Sun, Daily Express, Telegraph et al.
I went to school with Africans and Caribbeans. Their families are more conservative and education aware than anyone you are likely to meet.
But if choose to believe that a few drug dealing idiots is all their is, you are doing them and yourself, an injustice.
Don't join the ranks of the ignorant. There are idiots of every nationality.
