  1. its not just thais that skip lines, russians seem to love doing it also. I had a huge go at some russian lady who tried to jump infront of me at the immigration line. she was standing right up my ass the whole time so i gave it to her. People need to learn.

( i know im pushing for time its a bit silly).

Also i have several visa exemption stamps and 1 tourist visa which i obtained in Australia last month.. this will be a problem or not?

Now if she put him up to it why is she still in tears today? Do you think she wants police attention at her buisness? This was simply a young boy doing something stupid. Her son came here 2 months ago and was only supposse to stay for 10 days. My wifes boss then offerd him a job to work the night shift. He was given a good oppurtunity to make some money and has since ruined that chance. My wife has lost money over this and the guesthouse has also recieved bad rep. I highly doubt she would want any of this to happen. She has been running this guesthouse for 4 years and this is the FIRST time anything like this has ever happend.

  4. haha some of you people are funny. The kid has gone back home his mum sent him yesterday. We have since learnt that some moron was giving him yaba. Its funny how so many people judge westerners over having a thai wife. We have been married for 4 years and this is the first time anything bad has happend....

Yeh i guess i do have broken english it seems to happen when i am over here.

The bloke got his money back and everything is now over. The son has been sent back home to Ubon yesterday.. I still think about it thought because it really was a bad day.

The whole working thing was never mentioned again, but i will be careful from now on.

Earlier you said there was nothing to be seen on the camera?

Yes but the police came back about 2 hours later and looked again. I posted 20,000 baht bail for him and the aussie guy does not want to press charges. The police are asking my wife for money (bribe). So corrupt its discusting. Even when the case is closed they still want money... Money for wat? Half of them just stoof there doing <deleted> all and then they get thanked. Police here is a joke

  6. thanks for all the replys people, this may not sound good.

We have since been to the police station and the aussie man is trying to charge both of us with theft and he has repeatedly said to the police i work here i work here but my wife said no he does not. The police dismissed his claims immediately so it looks like the illegal working thing does not seem to be going anywhere. But just on that no one pays me anything at all, sometimes i just help her cleaning is that still considered working illegally?. anyway, the safes in this guesthouse are key only, and my wife holds the keys so that isnt a good sign. im 100% sure she did not take his money. the police came and looked at the cameras but couldnt find anything, they also blamed a 3 hour blackout on electricity problems. We are now waiting for someone from the embassy to come to the police station. i will post further when i know what is going on

    thanks

  7. Hi all,

i am currently in patong, phuket where my thai wife works in a small guest house. I got here on monday i am staying for about 6 months, i usually help her here and there when she needs it although i am not working here. Anyway a aussie customer who has been here for 2 nights has lost 700 dollars which he believes was stolen from his safe... he was screaming at both us at 7am this morning accusing us of taking the money. Obviously neither of us have stolen the money. Him and his girlfriend have since gone to the police station.. just wanted to know if anyone else has been in a similar situation and what the possible outcome may be.

    Cheers
