Thanks! any other recommendations?
-
I'm new in town and I'm looking for a reliable motorbike rental, on a monthly basis. Thing is, I'd like a newer one instead of those 15k km bikes. My aim is for a new model of the Honda Airblade. Anynone has any idea about where could I find this in the Chalong area?

Crack downs are always short time in this country

Nice to know True Internet is an option

Thanks for all your replies. 3BB has pretty bad reviews, both in Bangkok and Pattaya. Most of my friends who have/had it complained about it. Hope True has the 16Mbps package available in Phuket. It's quite decent for the money. BTW I will be staying in the Chalong area

For the moment I am in Pattaya (unfortunately), but I intend on moving to Phuket this week or next one. What are the internet options there? Here I have True Internet, the 16mbps package. Is thsi available in Phuket as well? How does it work? Any other (better) options? Thank you in advance for your replies.

What about True Internet? Not an option there? I am planning to move to Phuket next week and would like to know what my options are in the Chalong area. Thanks in advance for any replies. Alex

Be aware that the PCX is the only Honda 125 ccm scooter in Europe with less then 14 hp (beside of the wave 125i witch has less then 10). Think Pcx has a little more then 11 hp. All other Honda 125ccm have 14 hp. So Pcx is not so strong and probably market as "Budget scooter" in Europe.
Yeah, not a very powerful engine. For it's size, they should have worked more on the engine. Takes me ages to reach 100km/h
and equally long to stop it.
PCX tyres and brakes are really not made for 100kmh
Well, found the braking system pretty good, even at 100km/h. I'm sure that by replacing the tires with better ones would help even more. Haven't tried it yet, but I will next month after my rent contract expires and will buy my own.

OK. So I rented out a Honda PCX for a month, just to make sure if it's what I want. Bottomline is...GREAT BIKE!!! Rides smooth, very comfortable, great acceleration, stability, incredibly low fuel consumption, not mentioning the design of the bike which makes all the other motorbikes look like a joke, really. I was really impressed.

No way it can't be uglier than a Honda Wave or most of the Suzuki, Kawasaki or those JRD grotesque bikes. Personally, I like the PCX, even though I've never drove one, but that's another story

Before anything I am really curious about the date of availability in Thailand. Will probably take an year or so...

Heard a lot of good things about this one: http://scorpion.atk-web.net/ I'm a beginner, but planning to go there myself as soon as I get back to Patts

Pattaya NEEDS farang martyrs

Yeah, but it's all in thai and since it's not a php version, google can't translate it either

This is really hilarious...to say the least

14 mil ? 13.7 mil? They must be dreaming...6 or 7 mil, MAYBE!!!
-
The trunk seems big enough, unless you're not planning to carry an entire farm with you
-
Yeah, I'm also waiting to hear more. What's the acceleration and top speed on this?
-
Just noticed that a new Honda model is out; the Honda PCX. How is it? Anyone tried it out? Looks pretty nice from the pictures

1) Loy Kratong is a big thing for most Thai's, you might want to bear that in mind when it come to a western event that you want to celebrate.
2) If you are expected to pay the bill for 9 people, then you and your girlfriend have other issues to deal with.
100% agreed

Thanks, Abrac!

To be honest here, I never had an iPhone before, but I would be interested in buying one, not for the 3G/5G thingy, but mostly for the applications you can run on it.
That being said, my question was pretty simple: Is the Apple iPhone 3Gs available in Thailand or now and if it isn't, when will it arrive? Looking for an unlocked version also, I don't wanna be stuck to a TrueMove stupid service and I'm not keen on using hundreds of tricks just to operate a mobile phone.
Thank you
