The other day my long time friend came to me with a puzzling situation where his Thai wife has retained the services of an attorney to file in the court system that half of his belongings are hers, using the “Common-Law Wife” rights, here in the Kingdom.
So, his question to me was “How long must you live together, before you are considered husband and wife”?
Any for sure answers?
Thanks,

George – It’s great to see your advertisement within the forum, also, splendid contrasting graphics makes your banner really standout.
I wish you success in your campaign to bring forum browsers and contributors into your shop, and feel you made a very innovative marketing step in the right direction. I hope other local businesses follow your lead.
Keep up your high standards, good service and reasonable prices!

Your right many good memories!!

Mike, I know you’re reading this, so my comments are as follows:
- For Mexican food is Asia and recently opening; you’re doing a great job!
- Your Menu is aplenty and the entries are good food for value!
- The entries are always served hot & the drinks chilly cold!
- The staff is friendly, attentive and willing to please!
I like going to a restaurant where the food is prepared in front of you, instead of a dark and dingy back room - hole in the wall where who knows how clean the kitchen is or how the food is stored and menu items prepared?
Good Luck on Ya!

We have installed several D-Link wireless systems fo seberal of our clients and they are completely content with them.
Ourselves we have the hardwired version and again completely happy.

My OE is not sending mail to some people. I could send using hotmail, but now it looks like it doesn't work either - there is no message in the sent message bit.
Can anyone help/advise please?

OK you're using Microsoft "Outlook", but is your POP3 server Hotmail.com?

I can't speak for Bangkok, but in Chiang Mai - No, and I believe that to be true throughout the Kingdom.

Your client sounds like a great individual with understanding and considerable forethought??
Another suggestion would be to pose your question to the following forum:

Although your client wants Thai, someone here is bound to be of assistances.

Just like the movie “Clear and Present Danger” !
Here in Chiang Mai, you ask how much and they reply “there will be a deposit”
And you say how much will that be?
And they reply “50,000 baht”!!
Sorry to respond like that, but we haven’t found a place willing to rent laptops or desktops, it’s kind of a sad story, because there is a market for rental computers.
Good Luck,

I’ve used Matt’s and it works very well:

I’ve also heard that these folks were pretty good also:

As you know, always be careful when using free software, especially “scripting”.
Hope this Helps,

Try CMU (Chiang Mai University) pharmacy, near Suan Doc hospital, they're cheaper than most pharmacies and if they don't have it or it's out of stock they'll order it for you.

I always wonder if these coffee snobs have the slightest clue as to what they are going on about.
Almost anything will taste good with enough cream and sugar and this nectar of the Gods cr*p is a bunch of hooey. Coffee is nothing but a cheap speed buzz!

Just came across this latest article concerning Microsoft’s Vista, and felt those of you who are interested might find this somewhat interesting reading:

Many Internet Cafes here in Thailand can perform this service for you, so I suggest this option to try. If you’re in Chiang Mai, I suggest “Buddies”, near Central Department Store. The service in usually 50 baht.

Most software manufacturers conduct online checks on the installed software, if you plan on using it's "web update" facility, thus detected any pirated software & blocking the update or terminating the program.
Prevention is better cure...do not buy pirated software. Buy the real thing & totally avoid these problems.
Another problem with pirated software is; many times it comes with all the leeches we try to avoid with our blocking software. I’ve tried several well known programs, in the past, on CDs, ran them through the Norton Anti-Virus software, installed them and came up with unwanted PopUps and trips to Search Engine – web sites, instead of my default SE.
Pirated software is tempting, but it can be costly and time consuming to remove some of the “blood suckers”.

Remember it’s that time of year when all the universities and schools are posting grades and the students are checking their scores on their finals. It should, I hope, clear-up around the 10th of next month.

Are you using IE6 to view your mail account, but when you are trying to send e-Mails are you using your POP3 Account from Yahoo.com in your Microsoft Express or Outlook?
If you are using the aforementioned, the problem may be with your ISP porting and not with Yahoo.

Is it possible to see how the font looks like before installing it? I wouldn't want to install 100 font types without knowing how they look like.
Could you tell me how these “fonts” are packaged ie. zip file or auto setup program or a downloadable program from a web site that automatically installs them after the download?

“Microsoft Word” is: Tools > Language > Set Language > Select English (UK)
Spot on Mr. Bytes...that worked a treat. Thank you.
Doesn't always last forever... my applications frequently change between US and Australian English with no input from me... and a work colleague's apps are always German for some reason!
Is your computer networked with other(s)?
What version of Microsoft Office are you using?

I have been following this thread along with the originating thread, “The Dukes” for the pass 10 days or so and now offer my own personal opinion.
"Moderators, by definition should not be allowed to express their opinion(s)" on topics being discussed, regardless if some individuals may consider them helpful or not. I base this on the definition found on this link here.
Moderators are referees, not players, not spell correctors or spelling checkers. Being a moderator means subscripting to defined rules set forth by the web site owner and removing “posts”, which infringe on these rules.
In essences you’re a player or a referee, not both!

I think soontheplayoffs is referring to the "Yahoo Toolbar."
Generally my recommendation is to just Download Firefox and install. Many of these things make it hard to get rid of them.
Anybody know another way?
Yeh that'll do it
Firefox is a much better browser every which way.
Yup, I'll second that, or if for some reason you don't like "Firefox" you can try "Opera", which also has all the options as the Yahoo Toolbar, plus more +++!

The last I read was Vista will be available to the public somewhere in the next 8 to 14 months, but traditionally Microsoft as always delayed (postponed) new OS releases. From what I’ve read it’s a revolutionary step forward!
Personally, I'll buy Vista, but until 3 months after the public release to make sure all the bugs are corrected.
