  1. In the UBC Program magazine, nothing is listed, and as I have been scanning through the channels I haven’t uncovered anything outside the highlights on normal Thai, TV channels.

Please keep the forum advised, should you find some programming.

    Take Care,

  2. in USA they kicked me because not OK for the Digital Millenium Act, and than one customer who has a hugh Bit Torrent page recommended this isp.

And it is a good deal so far: it is fast, dedicated machine with 1 GB Ram and 2 Raid Harddisks, 100 or 200 (don't remember) GB Transfer per month for something arround 120 Euro pro month.

Many hosting companies I found outside USA are reselling webspace in USA.

Just curious...why do you host in Holland?

I believe the majority of Thai companies are leading unassuming users, to their “we have our own server” services, when in fact, they are implementing US hosting servers via their respective “Reseller” program offerings.

    Just my Opinion!

  3. Can "Skype" only be used sitting next to your PC ?

An interesting inquiry! I believe the answer to be “yes”, but a more interesting uncertainty would be suppose you had a mobile phone capable of logging on to the Internet, and from there connecting to Skype.

Would this produce an overall less expensive call, implementing a mobile phone and Skype?

    Take Care,

  4. I'm using IE6 but haven't changed anything....honest guv. It was ok when I shut down but when I next when on the net the text had gone small.

I had a similar problem years ago, but I don't remember how I fixed it. I've looked through the IE settings but can't find anything that relates to changing the text size

    Try this!

    On your IE6

Click on “View”, top row of menu files

Click on “Text Size” and set the size text you prefer.

Can’t explain how it changed over night, but I guess I really won’t worry about it unless your computer slows down or starts acting funny in other ways.

  5. Is this the place that used to be a Pub?

In a row of 4 storey houses near what used to be called the Blue Note Bar?

    Very olde worlde interior design?

I believe it used to be called “The Tavern”, which was owned by another American, which has since departed Thailand or so I have been informed. The name of the former owner, I also believe was named Glenn. Maybe before the Tavern it was the Blue Note?

    Regards,

  6. The American Consultant’s office is over priced for a Notary stamp, but if you just need a “stamp” for something like a Thai Drivers License you can obtain a stamp to satisfy the situation by going to the Thai Immigration Office (Visa department) and their stamp will take care of most Thai documents requiring a Notary.

    Hope this may help some!

    Regards,
