As the air outside is always hotter than the temperature inside I don't see any reason to let it come inside.
So from mid morning onwards I keep doors and windows closed. I should add that this is after doing the opposite previously.

As far as I'm concerned, credid where credit is due.

Streamed it a couple of weeks ago and it's well worth viewing. Not exceptional but held my interest to the end.

Failed state, thats just where it was heading under his leadership.
You would do well to remember that Brown was PM at the time of the American induced world wide economic catastrophe. If it was not for actions taken by him and his government things would have been much worse. Many businesses and banks were saved which might well have gone under. A little reading of that history would be in order before calling him the worst in living memory.

Gerrymandering AND continued voter suppression as was witnessed last November with ridiculously long queues in many states.

Stupid to the very end. Now for the mountain of pardons.

I don't get it. Why would Biden even consider sharing intelligence information with someone no longer connected to government. Am I missing something here ?

Aetna just increased mine by more than 20%

Allowing family get togethers at Christmas has obviously had a hand in the big rises of deaths recently.
Intention could be argued as well meaning but flawed in that a further spread was inevitable.

One of the sadder aspects of this whole sorry saga is that police officers are now under investigation for possible aiding and abetting in the crime.

Bit late for that, damage already done in estimated 57,000 tweets.

Sobering thought that 74 million Americans voted for Trump. I dread to think what the world would be like after another 4 years of this.

How Perdue and Loeffler are remotely close in the polls baffles me given the charges that have been made against them.

""Leave your guns at home"".
What a warning to be forced to make. Says all you need to know about the Trumpists.

Liverpool is a scruffy, mediocre crime ridden dump. Its glamor- non existent. In the 70s it suffered terrible under thatcher and in the 80s under Hatton and the trots. Jerry and the peacemakers were culturally inconsequential. Basically a mums and dad band, a show band, a cabaret band with non of the creative talent, dynamism or raw dangerous energy of contemporaneous bands. Gerry and the Pacemakers, like Freddy and the dreamers were an embarrassing one hit wonder. His passing is sad of course but musically irrelevant.
A one hit wonder they certainly were not, look back at the record charts for confirmation.

We should be careful not to criticise Thais too severely considering how the general population in some Western developed countries have behaved during national holidays. At least everyone wears a mask.

I was raised to not rely on government welfare or charity. My dad would disown me if I had ever got on the dole or pension. Dole bludgers and pensioners are always complaining that their handouts are not enough in Australia.
They should get a job and save and fund their own retirement if they think they are not being given enough. Leaners complaining the lifters are not giving them enough. We paid for our pensions through national insurance contributions all are working lives so why should we living in Thailand be an exception. No one is asking for charity, just parity with everyone else.

Lost the election 7 weeks ago but still allowed to wreak havoc as President.
This system beats me.

The rant on this subject gives the outsider a good idea of the state of the USA today.
Thankful to read a few reasoned replies.

Surely a country that has lost control of itself by rules that allow a defeated President a further 10 weeks in office to wreak havoc, which he is only too happy to be a big part of. Possibilities of big trouble in the next few weeks.
One has to feel for Biden and the new administration which will have an enormous problem to govern with any authority, all things considered. A really strong AG is essential.

As I 've noted before, this is what can happen when an archaic electoral system allows a defeated President a further 10 weeks in office to wreak havoc on the country.
This aside the pandemic is showing record cases and fatalities daily while frivolous lawsuits continue to dominate and Congress and the Senate refuse to pass a relief bill for the many millions of sufferers.

Poll finds 47% of Americans favor Trump conviction in impeachment trial

Terribly depressing that with the overwhelming evidence against Trump that only 49% of the population think he should be convicted.
As for the Senate ""trial"" Republican senators are much more concerned with their future well being than that of justice being served.
