For experts in all things😅 https://www.rd.go.th/553.html Types of Taxable Income https://www.rd.go.th/553.html Because employees have different occupations, there are different levels of difficulty or cost. For the sake of fairness, the law divides the characteristics of income (to be assessed) into groups. Depending on the case, to determine the fairest possible tax calculation, here's how to calculate taxes: 1. Type 1 income includes employment income, such as : - Salary, wages, compensation, bonuses, allowances, retirement benefits, pensions- Housing rent received from employers - Money calculated based on the value of living in a house - Money the employer leaves in place without paying rent - Money the employer uses to repay debts the employee is obligated to pay - Money, property, or any benefits derived from employment, such as the value of food, etc. -

FARANG NOT WANT TO PAY EITHER SIDE ....😅 Thailand has finalized its policy of taxing the imported income of expatriates abroadThailand concludes policy on collecting income tax on foreign imports The policy on collecting income tax on foreign imports in Thailand has undergone significant changes from 2024 onwards, focusing on new criteria for collecting tax on foreign income, as follows: New rules for foreign income Residence Principle : A person who resides in Thailand for more than 180 days in the same calendar year (tax year) and brings income from abroad into Thailand must file tax with the Thai Revenue Department. Repealing the old criteria : This new criteria repeals the old criteria that have been used for almost 37 years, which used to specify that income from abroad imported in a different tax year from the year in which the income was received was exempt from having to file taxes again. 3 8 Exception case : If the taxpayer is in Thailand for less than 180 days in the tax year in which the income from abroad is brought in, he/she will still be exempt from having to submit such money for tax filing in Thailand. Enforcement This new criterion will be effective from 1 January 2024 onwards and will apply to foreign income brought into Thailand in that year. Taxable income Taxable foreign income includes wages from work performed abroad, profits from the sale of foreign property, dividends from foreign stock, foreign interest, and foreign royalties. Protection under double tax conventions Taxpayers may be protected under double tax treaties if Thailand has agreements with governments of certain countries that allow taxpayers to bring income from abroad into Thailand without having to file taxes again. The change aims to modernize the tax system and bring it in line with international standards, with an emphasis on taxation based on residence instead of the source of income principle that has been used in the past -

Farang very intelligent, better to know Thai law and especially not to want to pay!! 😅 https://www.rd.go.th/fileadmin/user_upload/lorkhor/newspr/2024/FOREIGNERS_PAY_TAX2024.pdf Thailand’s Double Tax Treaties: Download Any Thailand DTA ARTICLE 23 Elimination of double taxation March 19, 2024 FOREIGN TAX RELIEF กรมสรรพากร THE REVENUE DETENT Income tax paid abroad can be credited against Thai taxes if permitted under Double Tax Agreement (DTA). So, there will be no double taxation for residents of Thailand. • When a foreigner who is a resident of Thailand pays tax on income abroad, tax paid can be taken as a credit against the tax payable in Thailand. • Credit amount cannot exceed the amount of Thailand's tax liable to the foreign-sourced income. Remarks: Documents and evidence may be required in order to prove sources of income and to claim foreign tax credit under Double Taxation Agreement. • Documents must be in English or Thai. • For the evidence to claim foreign tax credit, Tax Payment Certificate issued by foreign tax authority is recommended. -

Thai Tourism Grapples with Declining Chinese Visitors
DULEROY replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The reality is quite different...😀 China has invested huge sums of money to develop its tourism industry and its infrastructure, including transportation, to attract its population to stay in the country in favor of national tourism. General Secretary Xi Jinping recently issued important instructions on tourism, emphasizing that since the reform and opening up, especially since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, my country's tourism development has accelerated, establishing the world's largest domestic tourism market and becoming the largest source and destination country for international tourism. The tourism industry has grown from small to large, from weak to strong, and gradually become an emerging strategic pillar, a sector of people's livelihood and happiness, with outstanding characteristics of the times. It has thus successfully embarked on a unique path for the development of Chinese tourism. General Secretary Xi Jinping has made comprehensive arrangements and put forward clear requirements for accelerating the building of a strong tourism nation and promoting high-quality development of the tourism industry. http://jl.people.com.cn/BIG5/n2/2024/0523/c349771-40853798.html And it seems to have succeeded, according to Chinese statistics from the Ministry of Tourism. -

In Thailand like many countries, ATVs including QUADs (ATV) cannot be registered or driven on public roads due to inadequate safety standards. With traffic laws not supported and considering the risks to drivers and road users, the use of ATVs must be limited to appropriate areas and in accordance with the laws in force for the safety of all parties.

September 24, 2024 Here is the monthly report of foreign tourists traveling to Thailand from January to August 2024 The total number of entries therefore reaches 23,567,850 It is unlikely that the 2019 record, the tourist attendance of welcoming 39.8 million foreign visitors will be reached Contrary to what some sites (French-speaking) say which would be well advised to do like me to retrieve the monthly report of the Thai Ministry of Tourism and Sports I remind you here that the Famous TAT agency cited by many is only a tourist promotion agency it therefore does not do the Calculations, Statistics, Forecasts and reports of Thai Tourism which belongs to the economic division of the Ministry of Tourism (MOT) Thailand is now faced with its Thai Baht which is far too strong and will clearly penalize the international tourist attendance at the end of the year despite the new provisions put in place for visa exemptions extended to 2 months 1 EURO = 36,580 THB 1 USD = 32,702 THB Thailand's domestic tourism is never mentioned by our good farangs while according to the ratios of the economic share of the GDP which weighs for the whole 21% including 12% for internal national tourism Certainly the latter does not bring in currency but also participates in the tourist economy of the country I add the Tourism Income Report by province June 2024 and the number of visitors per province June 2024 As you can see in the economic division of Tourism they are certainly not manchos... 😉 -
