Thanks Tifino, and all for suggestions
i had an idea
bearing in mind that a replacement battery is circa £90
and the Ctek is circa £70
and that im away until May '21
then why dont i just write off this current(dead) battery as it may be 'unchargeable' now anyway??
do you think thats an option?
if so do i also need to get this(dead) battery disconnected for any reason, is it causing any harm or shall i just leave it in there and put a new battery in when i get home?
(However going forward i will get the Ctek 5.0 to maintain in future)
Cheers
A dead battery will do no harm.

Following on from storing vehicles, if the vehicle is unleaded then you have another issue that unleaded fuel is unstable since they took lead out and it will turn to black tar contaminating your fuel system which can be very expensive to put right.
This can take between 6 to 12 months.

I would sell the car if you don't need it. Depreciation is the biggest cost of motoring.
The tyres will get flat spots.
The discs will rust.
A car needs to be used not stored.
Modern day batteries once they go flat can cause a lot of problems. Maybe it has a 3 year warranty?
I would get it exchanged.

I have a fleet of Mercedes saloons which clock up to 700,000 kilometres before we sell them off and we've changed 2 Cam chains in the last 15 year or so. (Terrible job, at back of engine)
Regular servicing and a good quality oil are paramount.
You will know when the chain gets noisy and that is the time to change it.

In my experience the Baht is tied to the USD and here to a certain range. If the Euro goes up against the Baht it is because the Euro goes up against the USD.
The UAE Dirham is pegged to the US Dollar and this is what it looks like. The Thai baht is not pegged to the dollar.

I once had a face to face encounter with a large rearing King Cobra at not more than 2 metres distance.
And we all know how what 2m looks like now ????

If the bearing has only just started making a noise it should be ok for a while.
Make sure it's not the tyres sawtoothing, stepping, toe and heel it's called many things but it's where the tyre wears unevenly and it gives the same sound as a worn wheel bearing.
Run your hand around the face of the tread of the tyre. If one way it's smooth and the other way it jags on your hand that is sawtoothing.
Strictly speaking the only way to check for a wheel bearing is to have the wheel off the ground grab top and bottom and see if there is any play by rocking the wheel backwards and forwards.

You could try changing them to LED bulbs.
I found the halogen ones to blow frequently.

Then, when the Oxford group can release the vaccine, everything will rosy again.
Problem, reaction, solution.
I hope you are correct and Oxford will find a vaccine. The fact that we have not found a vaccine for any of the coronavirus, MERS, SARS etc. worries me.
I offered myself to Oxford for the trials as I'm 55 and only 30 miles away. Didn't get the gig ????

Too little too late.
The government's insipid response to this pandemic has cost the lives of tens of thousands of people in the UK.
24-hours earlier Michael Gove was saying they were going to leave it up to the common sense of the people ????
For all the times we decry the Thai government for their policies, they got this one right IMO!

Not necessarily so, because the airline is unable to claim Force Majeure for an existing situation.
(I was sold the ticket in June).
Regardless, I won’t be holding my breath for any compensation claim - without doubt they’ll refuse it, but there are companies which push the claim for you.
Etihad snapped a pushchair in half - they refused a compensation claim. I got the CAA involved who contacted Etihad on my behalf - the claim was valid and Etihad were held to the Montreal Convention.
The CAA response was that Etihad rejected the claim the next step was to involve a lawyer and sue them. All for a £400 pushchair. Etihad knew we were never going to sue.
I’ve never flown Etihad Since - I was a Gold Card Member.
Disgusting treatment of a gold member.....but then i am gold too and they did't give a s**te about me either so it must be their policy ????

That only seems to apply to Thailand. I can enter UK on UK passport and leave on an OZ one. Just saying.
I regularly leave the UK on an UK passport and return on an Irish one, or vice versa, just to confuse the system ????

20 year old Thai boy (full of hormones and delusions of invincibility) "going only 80 and didn't see her"? Looks more like negligent homicide. Check his phone for activity - probably "in use" at time of impact.
And the sad thing is his two passengers are critically injured the girl on the motorcycle is dead. Should be him that's dead.

I was happily stuck in Thailand back in March for a month while Etihad cancelled my flight 4 times.
Iended up paying more to fly with EVA Air one way back to the UK than the whole of the Etihad fair. I asked Etihad for a refund they offered me a voucher.
When I got back to the UK I put a charge back in with Barclaycard and I am pleased to say I got a full refund for the Etihad ticket.

That was due the child being born in the UK and then getting their Thai birth certificate at the embassy in London. The embassy will issue a passport in that case.
They had to register their child in house book to get a Thai ID number the is required to get a Thai passport here.
I think you are correct Ubonjoe. They went back to Nong Khai, registered Henry in the blue book and then they could get the passport.
His father did not want to register him in the house book as then Henry could be drafted into the Thai army at a later date.
He had to relent

That was wrong information. A new Thai passport can be applied for in Thailand regardless where the previous passport was issued.
they ended up getting a flight back to Nong Khai, going to the local amphur and registering Henry in the area and then passing a brown envelope to get the passport and quickly.
This would have been 6 years ago. What a palaver!

Get your own chickens. Noise doesn't seem to be a problem in Thailand

it happened to my mate too. His son was stopped from leaving the country on his UK passport as his Thai passport has expired whilst in Thailand. He entered on his Thai passport.
They tried to renew it they were told they had to do it in the United Kingdom as that is where the passport was issued.

I have ridden this train and I can't ever say it was speeding it ended up being over 2 hours late.
