The amount you needed to show WAS 800,000B but may have increased by now.

go with bangkok bank or thai farmers.  they seem the most farang friendly of the thai banks and are the largest and most stable of the domestic banks and have extensive ATM networks.

Agree 100% about these 2 banks, Bkk Bank and TFB, TFB debit card won't work in Oz but ok at Changi for all your Duty Frees.

Thai receptionist @ BNE said that Penang will be under new management soon and will be as flexible as BNE.

Stay clear of the Thai embassy.

Contact the Royal Thai Consul in Hull or B'ham.

If in OZ go to BNE, I got my Type "O" in 20 mins here,

no hassle it's a 12 month muti-entry one, so I have to do a visa run to Poipet

(Dodge City) every 90 days. I'm not married to a Thai nor do I have a Thai G/F or tin-lids to maintain. Good luck!

stay well clear of the Thai embassy in London.

Call the Royal Thai Consul in Birmingham and ask for a multiple entry Tourist visa, tell them you need  4 entries.

You can do everything by registered mail.

Hi,

I have to get a type "0" 1 year visa before the 18th July.

I can go to BNE but I also have to go to Bombay &  New Delhi before this date.

If I could get my visa in India I'd save at least 25000B on airfares to Oz...

Has anyone used this embassy for a type O?
