  1. Many a true word spoken in jest - let's see where this goes! As long as the lock-downs start after my return to Thailand in a few weeks then I'll be happier there than in the UK.
  2. You can only "make love" at night? To me, holding hands during the day is a far greater demonstration of love than anything you may do in the bed.
  3. The irony! Posters have "lost it" on both sides of this discussion.
  4. Thanks for the back story to your opinions.
  5. People do take sex very seriously on this thread - it's no big deal! Also, it's funny how so many posters who (presmably) have no experience of prostitutes are experts on the suibject. I have been with many all over the world and have never met one showing any signs of being abused. The smart ones make a brief career of it and retire at a young age having made enough for a lifetime or else met a decent customer and made a life with him.
  6. That made me smile. I thought that it was accidental humour but, reading the headline, maybe not!
  7. I just completed this quiz. My Score 30/100 My Time 114 seconds
  8. I just completed this quiz. My Score 10/100 My Time 151 seconds
  9. I just completed this quiz. My Score 83/100 My Time 69 seconds
  10. Indeed. I travel back and forth to Thailand with a backpack and so have 25kg of unused checked baggage allowance, but I would never sell that to a stranger. Having said that, I think that the worst thing You can say about this Thai woman is that she is a bit naive.
  11. Agreed. However, I took it as sarcastic rather than cryptic.
  12. I used Excel, Word and Outlook in my working days and so I'm happy to pay a cheap annual subscription to continue. Also, as you say, it comes with 1TB of cloud storage which works seamlessly as a back-up.
  13. According to Gmaps Julapan Stationery 16/6 หมู่8 E Chaofah Rd, Chalong, Mueang Phuket District, Phuket 83130, Thailand +66 76 384 304
  14. Oops - Loma Park not Lama Park
  15. I think that the ex-pats call it Cha Fao East, or similar. Gmaps calls it E Chaofah Rd. It leads to the Chalong circle/roundabout at the southern end of the island - one of your favourite road layouts if I remember correctly 😉
  16. There is invariably a check on beach road at Lama Park on the way home at 1am/2am but I have never been pulled over there. I've recounted this in the past - Once or twice a week there is one on the approach to Kamala but, the only time they stopped me and asked if I had been drinking, I told them "Only beer, no whiskey!" and they were happy with that. They now wave me through once they recognise me with the occassional "Go Papa!". There are (very few) advantages to being an old guy!
  17. I'm posting this from a similar ASUS Vivobook, albeit with more memory and an i9 processor. I subscribe to Microsoft 365 for emails, spreadsheets and word processing. It boots up and shuts down really quickly, has an illuminated keyboard, a great screen and battery life is 3/4 hours when streaming. I'm no expert/geek but I am very happy with it.
  18. I'm in my 70's now and I still enjoy people-watching and the buzz of Bangla - I spend 50% of my life on Phuket and, although I could never live there, I ride into Patong six nights a week (there's a great band on in my local bar on Thursdays). I have a few favourite bars and chat with a couple of the girls in Blue Lotus (and your favourite pole dancer) and tip them in cash but never buy lady drinks or takeaways. It's going to be difficult to relocate - rents have gone crazy in the last year or so even if you’re well in with some locals (I am, fortunately) but I have recommended Kamala to you in the past.
  19. Yes indeed - it took me a while to work out what this was. And, they work fast!
  20. Well, I only wasted about two minutes - but I'm retired and so I have plenty of time for these whimsical diversions.
  21. So well-known that Google has never heard of him/her!
  22. My phone does all of that! But, if I leave it at home........
  23. Yeh, I'm just not on the same wavelength as many on here. That's not a criticism, just an observation.
  24. Despite being an anonymous forum, I feel no need to tell lies.
