I have a Hatari fan that stopped working. I'm sure it's a relatively simple fix but I'm currently stuck.
1. There is no obvious evidence of the windings burning out.
2. The thermal fuse has not blown.
3. The fan turns freely when turned by hand so I don't think it needs oiled but maybe it does.
4. The fan would turn VERY slowly if started by hand.
Based on these factors I changed the capacitor (1.8 microfarad 400 V) but the fan still has a problem. It still won't work properly. If you give the fan a hand start then it will run, a lot faster than before I changed the cap, but it's not fixed.
Any ideas. I want to fix this because I want to learn about how motors work better. It's been a long time since I studied the theory at Uni and I want to get some practice in.....
If I have to buy a new one eventually then so be it but fixing myself is better just so I know I did it.
To fix, please pay 1,000 baht and buy new.

Maybe you are right. I've kind of given up hope that this kind of thuggery will end ; in fact it seems to be getting even more prevalent. Disgusting and disgraceful.
Not more. Only more cameras!

If you want to take that point of view, you would have accept that England was responsible for Piper Alpha, which is obviously ridiculous. All the UK government did was issue licences and reap the rewards, the oil companies funded the exploration and extraction.
Only the delusional would think that England had not already been paid. This says it all.
"Had Thatcher been a truly visionary politician, she would have established a wealth fund for the oil windfall, not squandered it on tax cuts and current spending."
Wealth was spread throughout the UK.

I think you are slightly off, NATO is not a country.
Why should NATO do anything?
What about African countries doing something?
Didn't NATO win the World Cup of Football 30 years ago ? And Miss Universe in 1934 ?
I think NATO also had the first man to walk on the Sun. I also have a NATO country passport. No visa fee for the moon.
Google it.

Its called an opportune moment. When an "opportunity" like this comes along you throw in a bunch of fingers "pointing" at as many "enemies and threats" as you can dream up.
Government, only wants the Thai people to feel sorry for them. Maybe ?

I've had it twice so far in Thailand. Would this have any benefit to an old geezer like me?
Good news, is that you can only get two more types, then you are good.
My friend had it three times; from three different countries. He said the type he caught in Thailand was the easiest.
Pakistan strain the worst. He still has one more to go.
I got it here in Thailand. It was not easy for me !

Do you have any use for facts at all? Really, you should get acquainted with something called google.
"Immigrants, Asians, and Latinos account for growing shares of the economy and electorate in Hawaii. Over 1 in 6 residents of Hawaii are immigrants (foreign-born), and more than half of them are naturalized U.S. citizens who are eligible to vote. The foreign-born share of Hawaii’s population rose from 14.7% in 1990, to 17.5% in 2000, to 17.6% in 2013, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Hawaii was home to 246,464 immigrants in 2013."

And your ad hominem attacks on the judge are just ridiculous. How is it relevant that lives in Obama's home town and went to Harvard with Obama? Do you think they signed a secret pact at law school?
Google ?
Google coffee is good for you. Answers all yes.
Google coffee is not good for you. Answers will all say, it is bad.

PM 2.5 is rather more serious a health hazard than PM10, hence why it seems to often go unreported in Thailand. The smaller 2.5 particles penetrate deep into the lungs.

Trump is pompous ass and the Republicans are retarded. How many nuclear weapons do they really need? US has enough now to kill the entire world 10 times over!
Unless you come from the USA. Be thankful to the States. If not for them , you would be speaking German, Russian or Chinese.

I know that thbis subject have been going on for a long time in many many threads.... I am however not 100% sure how it works and what the rules de facto are.
Is there a specific place, like a police-order where i can read about this, or can someone help me out with information. I mean for me staying here on a yearly extensions (retirement),
a - If I am going, lets say down to Ban Phae for a week. Do I have to report anything while down there? Or do I report (TM28) when I come back again to my home town in northeast? Where do i report?
b - If I am here on just a tourist-VISA/Non O-VISA, do i repoirt all movements?
c - Is there a difference in the conditions of reporting if I am having different VISASA or extensions?
I feel a bit lost I must say, so sorry to ask this again...

It's a revolving door. Once the wall goes up, it's time for some new rules:
1) Country of origin pays for costs of incarcerating convicts, directly or by punitive tariff;
2) Deportation after serving full sentence with a large bond paid for the same way as in 1.
Whatever country the illegal people come from, should pay all costs for the arrest, transport, deportation to the original country. If the country does not agree to the terms. Trump will drop a small nuclear bomb on that countries, alcohol factory.

Just curious oh if I could do home repair in say a GF home that I am living in?
Sorry if this isn't the best place for this?
Then what would happen if she sold this house shortly thereafter?
What if this became a pattern of her buying buying fixer uppers and flipping them?
Just figured it couldn't hurt to find where the grey area turns dark..
Houses do not go up in value, the same as USA. You will be lucky to get your money back. Thai's don't like buying resale house. Afraid of ghosts.

Same as what happens, when you use one credit card to pay the debt off another credit card.

I have not thought much about dual pricing because of our very infrequent trips to national parks and the like. However, our current trip to Phuket has left me a bit stunned on the subject.
We were at the local fresh seafood market (eight family members, I am the only falang). Family members wanted to buy some shrimp and were a bit shocked at the price - 800 baht per kilo. When they asked the seller, she informed them that this was the falang price - for Thai people the price was 400 baht a kilo.
Then tonight we were walking around the massive night market and it was time to eat. The ubiquitous Thai noodle dish was offered at 80 baht. Again, my family inquired and was once again informed that this was the falang price and the price for Thais is 40 baht.
Phuket is a nice place to visit but it sure seems aimed at squeezing everything possible from the falang - tourist or not.

If you go shopping for food, clothes , etc. You must shop separately from your family. once you know what you want.
You tell someone to buy for you. I know not fair, but you will save money.
