Not to worry for this as seen like it took longer time for the “ under consideration “ before we can get our new one year extension of marriage.

Very drunk.....in the CCTV show very clearly the way they walk and I don’t seen that he is very very drunk. You need to paid for what you have done and next time think carefully before you act, you can’t simply said “ sorry I’m drunk “. Paid respect to other people and the culture so that you can enjoy your holiday happily......

The best way is to instruct all T/Police to wear a cam ( locked and can’t delete ) if they are on the road in duty to record what is happen and this cam must send back to the province Police HQ to check every time once they finish they duty.
Totally agreed to send people who driving without a DL to attend the court, as only more find and longer jail can change a person attitude.
The road must be keep safeguarding for all user as nobody like to be killed in the road.

I have. Yellow book it can be very useful so it’s worth getting I was also given an ID card with it if I recall the total cost was 500 baht and as I am in my 60s they told me it is for life so no having to go back and renew it . Life is so much easier when doing your yearly extension of stay at immigration no need for lease agreements I just hand in my book at that’s it another advantage is that you no longer need to go to immigration to purchase a letter of confirmation of address if buying a vehicle or renewing your drivers licence. I am not sure if it’s a good idea to get a yellow book by fraudulent means if I am right you will not be living there but living in another province I think if you were caught you could be in big trouble if it’s only for Mail is it worth it I think not .
QuoteTotally agree with you

In other country, the CRV users have make some comments that it have some effect but still on new in Thailand yet. I would feel more confident in Toyota Fortuner as I been driving it for the pass 14 years and no problems in the road.

I just done my wife and four kids Thai passport last week in Chiangmai. Is easy, just make a copy of each of the passport front page and together with the original passport, summit to your local area MOFA and paid 200 baht for each passport, I paid total 800 bath as I need to endorse 4 passports. If you summited in Monday morning, you can get it back on Wednesday morning. Don’t need to make any English translation as the passport is in English unless someone need a different language.

You can try to look for few good builder and told them that you intended to build a house with the size, the materials, the requirements you want and you can find a cheaper builder that meet your requirements, tell him that you only wanted to paid for 2 millions including everything you need as a lum sum than write in to a contract, just be careful on the payment and never over pay, keep 10 to15% till the house are fully completed and you can move in to stay for min 30 days for you to ensure everything is in good condition.

I'd be happy to chip in some money to help my fellow countryman. If someone set up a (kosher) fund I'd put 1,000 baht in.
I had an old friend of 15 years who hanged himself in Khon Kaen some years ago, similar situation. Only thing being that my old friend had retired with plenty of money, but was subsequently bled- dry by his Thai family.
Kindly PM me too! I join in if anyone started this’s. Cheers

Sound very ridiculous! A tourist fly all the way to Thailand just because he wanted to commit suicide! What happen to his cash money? How did he tighten his own belt around his own neck? How his belonging walk 200 meter away from him? and many many.............???
-
Sounds very strange! He should have make a police report or call up his embassy for help in the start but not choose to over stay and work in the construction. Maybe, only himself know what is the truth story behind or he really need some help from us just let’s us know and I’m sure many of us would be happy to help him.

Please tell that to the Thai.
There were zero car deaths caused by foreigners in my area of Isaan whilst I was living there and most were extremely careful about drinking and driving.
I attended too many Thai funerals caused by MVA's and saw far to many dead drunk Thais climb into their pickups and drive off -with the entire family in the back-to have any degree of equanimity on this subject.
Thumb up for the foreigners who are in Isaan but unfortunately not in the north part of Thailand as this few weeks, quite a lot of foreigners having drunks and raced, so end up in the hospital, one of the young foreigner man just fall down by himself from the bike and broke his leg.

We do agree that is very difficult to tell people that who like to drink a lot of alcohol or beer till they are drunks not to drive after they drunk. So, just don’t regret when kill somebody or himself or whenever he get caught by the police. Remember! Is not good to be a killer, please think about your family and other road users family and don’t ever get drunks if you know that you need to drive home. Life is short and nevertheless wast your time and money, be safe at all times. Cheers

This have proof that local people/foreigners in this country don’t care about the law or maybe totally don’t care about they own life and others. Road safety have to start from the parents, school and by the police to enforcing when they are still young, is too late when the driver have been grow old as they totally don’t care or listen. Try to increase the punishment to this kind of person to ensure they can learn what is call safely before they can drive again like if get caught drunk or drugs just send them to jail for a few months may work better!

Maybe is a way to get rich as it’s difficult to win the numbers in Thailand and this are the more easiest way ! 555

Stay with the one that love you and not only you love her. If you found out that she on longer love you anymore, leave her alone and look for you truest love, no point for you to waste your time to the one that no longer love you. Life is short! Enjoy every minutes you own! Cheers

Feel so sorry to the female motorist, R.I.P. Is very difficult to avoid in this case no matter how careful we are. We should have keep in the most left lane as the Thai law said unless we are making a U- turn or need to turn right. Unfortunately so many motorists like to use the fast right land.
Of cost, if the time is end to said “ Good Bye “, we can’t do anything. Is the truck driver problem who coursed her death as all driver must ensure nothing can fall or come out from the vehicle to ensure others safety when you are driving.

Fair comments but needs some tuning: Moral of the story: Never buy land in Thailand (unless you are happy to know you don't own it and will never see the proceeds of any future sale), never get married (unless you have kids) keep the bulk of your assets hidden in a safe country, and don’t show off money or assets (keep a low or no profile). And make sure you have a will.
Totally agree with this! But please don’t forget! never ever tell your girlfriend that you are very rich but told her that you are very poor, let’s see she still wanted to get marriage with you first. After the marriage, still keep in low profile to her and only can let her know you have left little money just for living only. Rent a house to stay with her only till she have baby with you, wait for you’re kids to grow up till age of 20 and that’s the time to buy house with land under your kids name.
For my own use car, I paid cash and I buy a new car for her under installment, the longer for the installment the better.
Give her only some pocket money to spend for her own so that other man don’t think that she is rich and come after her. Other things you paid by yourself every time. Try not to let her go out alone too often, if you can try to go out together with her more to meet her friends.....Cheers

I do have all the requirements except the job with work permit and the 3 years tax. Is so difficult to look for job in Thailand as a foreigner. Really hope that the law can change and make it more easy for foreigners who have Thai wife with own kids to apply for the Thai citizens.
