No, but you will need to get an extension on your 30 days in Thailand if you don't want to get one. Note also that while it's a technical requirement to have to show a flight out within those 30 days, Thai immigration never asks but your airline might require it to allow you to board (that is if you don't have a visa).
If it happen that the airline staff notices your ticket date before you get on board, just immediately request them to help to change the new return date. I have done this before in the airport last two years for my friend.

When is your last entry to Thailand? If you have not been in Thailand for few months, it will not have any issue from the OP and for your air ticket, just change/ update the new date that you going back in the airport airline after you have clear the immigration. Last thing is to bring 20000 Thai batt or more with you just in cause you been requested by the OP and the proof of booking of the Hotel.

I am not sure Jomtien accept them by mail. Many offices want them done in person.
Just to highlight that, for Chiangmai immigration, you can only get it done by walking into the immigration office personally to apply/update the TM 30 and is very fast, take about 3 to 5 minutes ((just to update the TM 6 in to our TM 30) and this is what I have always been doing once i return from overseas.

You can only give money to this country and Thailand will give you nothing at best...so why come to Thailand to give money, go and give your money somewhere else..
I have known of foreigners who have been living here for donkey years and have no problems at least not with their visas..
Totally agree with this, no problems at all for many of us to stay in Thailand as we always following/fulfilled the Thai law when we have been requested at all times. I do feel very happy, staying and can lives with my Thai family in Thailand for the pass 18 years. Cheers!

If you ended/completed the contract with your company at anytime and the Thai law said that you must return back your work permit to the authority at the same time. Of course you can apply other kind of visas to return to Thailand, only if you can fulfill the said visa requirements. Cheers and wish that all are clear to you, wish you have a happy journey and all the best in the future.

You need to get a letter from the hospital by the doctor to write in to the Thailand Immigration to confirm your friend sickness is very serious at the moment and can't leave the hospital now. Take some photo of your friend in the hospital and with the letter, you can go to the immigration office to explain and show them the proof, talk to them nicely and request for they're understanding to help for the extension. Under Thai immigration law, yes he can get the extension for " in hospital ".

If someone have been rejected to enter the country at the immigration, he just need to inform the immigration officers in the same time that he have a check in luggage and the officer will help you to inform the airline staff, you will be getting it sooner before you been send out of the country. Normally they will arrange you to fry back to the place where you fry in but you can request them that you want to go other countries, sometimes/maybe if the immigration officer agree that you can. Don't forget to have more cash or CC with you to buy new air tickets.

1 hour ago, Thaidream said:Anyone who knows anything about Thailand knows the IO officers at the airports or land borders could care less whether you claim to be wealthy or not. While the rule amount for cash on hand is 10K per single person or 20K for family- they are looking for people who fit a certain profile and that is living in thailand long term on exempt entries or tourist Visas.
If I was in the position of being wealthy and was not married or retired- I would certainly buy the Elite Visa. It takes away all the hassle. In addition, I would never travel anywhere with less than 20K in my pocket.
They are continually tightening the screws with the 2 land border max entries and now the airports with more scrutiny.
If I was single and not married or retired- and under 50- I would spend time in neighboring countries such as Cambodia. Laos, or Vietnam. And I would never purchase a condo or any property in Thailand on an Exempt Entry or using Tourist Visas. The old days are gone and like it or not people have to adjust. In fact if I was single and just starting out- knowing what I know- I would give Thailand a pass. Too many negatives for a single person and not enough positives to make up for the harassment. Just my personal opinion based on what I have observed over the last 50 years. If I was in my 20s or 30s- I would not pick Thailand as a place to even try and stay. I learned to speak Thai and I am sure I can learn to speak Cambodian or Vietnamese. For me as a married person to a Thai- and retired- that is why I remain.
Very good and valuable comment! I'm using a Non-O marriage visa to stay in Thailand with my Thai family for many years and I use to travel very often because of my share business in overseas. I don't ever have this kind of issues with the immigration at the airport to show the said money or to reject me for entry to Thailand. This is because, I'm holding a right visa to stay in the country, as so I do believe that if you apply the correct visa before you come to Thailand, you will be welcome but for a guy who alway stay in Thailand or in out too many time in a year as a tourist for holidays in one country! I don't think in the world, any immigration official will believe you as a tourist and what in they mind is " You are making money in the country ".

People that get in problem with Immigration or get more problem in the future by showing up there, are in my eyes amateurs. Another explaination can also be that they behave in a way that is not acceptable, as I also have seen in many places, just because it is some kind of religion for some people to be in the sect that hates Immigration.
Sorry to said that, I don't hate immigration officer as I do have few good friends working in the immigration and one is a big ranking. But for his causes is very seriously "faked xxx". So I'm just advising him try not to wake up a sleeping "Tiger". We are all here just to share our advice and he can just ignore anyone if he think it don't work with him. Regards,

I think you are unlikely to have any problems, if the case was that serious you would have been deported after it had been completed
However I and no one else on here can know for sure so maybe seek professional advice before you leave Thailand?
Totally agree with this statement, maybe a Thai lawyer ( who done immigration cases only) or the police officer that handled your case.

Once I had a question mark in the back of my mind. My solution was to go over to an Immigration office and pose the question directly. They are the once that know.
You should have took for the police officers who handled your case, look into his advice and don't bring this issue to the immigration as you may have more problems in the future.

Do I get the Residency Certificate from local immigration offices in Korat?
Sent from my SMART 4G MAX 5.5 using Tapatalk
Yes, at your local immigration with your Thai wife if you are married with her in Thailand ( Thai marriage poof need to show ) and also at the same time apply for the TM 30 that she need to.

Just get yourself a residency certificate and your passport ( non O visa ) and go to the Kasikorn Bank. Tell them that you need to open a savings account to apply the one year non O visa and that will do. But if you don't have the 400,000 batt cash its still ok, tell the bank someone will send the money to you maybe a week or more. Good luck to you!

Thanks for the input.
A couple reasons - I probably won't live as long as my wife (despite the age difference), and the sister has many successful businesses and has always been honest in our business dealings together (we invested in her gold business). I might be too trustworthy, but nothing in my experience gave me pause. It seems like the most practical course for her to liquidate the assets. After the liquidation, 20% stays for my wife's nephew and the rest is supposed to transfer to the US.
The larger share of the inheritance is my house, which I'll transfer to the kids in a decade or so. The Thai investment would be an extra $300-$400k for them, after all is said and done.
I just wanted to make it more clear; A "will" is a will as if she happen to make a " new last will " again at anytime, the old "last will" that you have been holding will be automatically avoided and you can't do anything as you are not a Thai citizen and this same go to your kids because it's a landed shop house in Thailand. To my advice is, better to sell it first when you are still around as you can't do anything when you are "not around in the world ". Sometimes a good big lawyer also can't do anything as this is Thailand. Cash money in hand are the sure win to your kids better that to fight in the Thai court and it may took many many years without any new. Sorry to said this to you and wish you long life with good luck! Cheers

I have a BBL credit card secured with a fixed account (less than 800000 TB). The bank book is a normal fixed account book and I have full access to the funds, of course I must meet the terms of a fixed account (loss of interest if withdrawn before the maturity date) as well as the card would be canceled if I withdraw all the funds. As far as immigration is concerned it is a normal fixed account.
That's interesting, will visit the bank tomorrow to request for a CC.

Hi guys,
I had a case against me for fake thai nominees, i had paid the fine in court and its over now, my question is can i fly
back to my home country and come back to thailand normally? Or do i need some extra paper work to avoid any problems at immigration on swarnbhumi alrport?
Thanx
Normally if we have a court case and we have fully paid the fine, we are a free man in Thailand. But look like your case is more serious, can I know how much is your fine and any special endorsement in your passport? That maybe we all can figure out your answers.

Ok, I had never heard of fines against previous stay without a TM30.
Yes! There is fines against old previous stay, I saw it when I was doing my report for the TM 30 in Chiangmai after return from overseas. One couple came into the immigration office show the officer his passport and was told that he did not do any TM 30 reports since he have been in Thailand for few years.

As Udon joe said earlier, different rules for stateless people. An ID card issued based on a yellow book , there are no travel or moving restrictions.
But my Thai card behind written , "there is restricted to travel" in Thai writing. So if I show to a Thai police in a different area, how to explain? and will they expect it?
Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect -
That is actually a statement for stateless people who get the same ID card. They have to get permission to leave the area where they are living.
If you moved you would need to get a new yellow book and then a new ID card.
For what I have been told, if you ID card is approved in Chiangmai started with 6 you will need permission to leave Chiangmai because you can use this only in Chiangmai, so if you just want to go holiday to other places, my advice is bring along your passport and keep the ID at home. But if your Pink Thai ID started with 8, yes you are free to go around the Thailand for holidays without applying for permission. Please take note that both 6 & 8 ID holders must inform or reapply to the government for the change of new address.

I would be much appreciated if you all could answer my following questions.
The Thai Pink Card is written in Thai only. The name is also written in Thai.
In other words, there is no name in English.
During banking transactions and other transactions, do I fill up the forms
in English or in Thai. Especially my name.
Please kindly advise. Much appreciated. Thanking you all in advance.
If you use your Thai pink IDENTITY, you need to fill in your Thai name and Thai ID nos but if you fill in your English name, the bank will request you to should your passport and they will keep a copy of it.
Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect -
It probably would not matter.
Unless your bank account was set up using your name in Thai your name would appear on the account in English. In that case it would be best to put your name in English.
Also a potential problem that could arise with using the card is that your account might of been set up using your passport number.
I have open my bank account in the bank with my pink Thai ID card and yellow house book without any question from the bank. It appear my Thai name and my Thai ID card nos in the bank book only and that's to said that, in the future I will just need to show this Thai ID only for my account with the bank. If you using your passport to open the bank account, you can't use your Thai ID to correspond with the bank for the account and it make unless to the pink Thai ID we have apply.

This can happen anywhere in Thailand. Mostly they don't bother to even look at the passport when they see you're a "farang". I doubt that a normal officer outside of the tourist areas even is able to check the passport, with all these foreign letters, for such thing as overstay. But better be safe than sorry.
Totally agree with this statement as a foreigner we must follow the Thai law so that we can live happily in Thailand
Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect -
Yes, they will keep your old work permit and what you need is make a photocopy with it and also take a photograph to keep a record in the future.

Is it actually illegal to step on Thai currency? Certainly bad form and I suppose possible LM.
It is illegal to drive with no shirt, got caught by that one.
Yes! We can't step or draw on the Thai currency as the Thailand king photo is in the currency note, it is illegal in Thailand. In Asia, drivers must wear shirt while they driving and also all passengers. But in some holiday breaches, the police just close one eye.

To me is very common in Thailand, as we always know very well that different area always have some or more different requirements to get thing done. The best way is to go down to the office and request for more details. Cheers
