Personally I think Trump is only out to enhance his own ventures but in this instance he seems to have got it absolutely right by making sure these deviants face up to what they really are, males, and pee in the correct toilets.
How do you decide if someone is male or female?

Probably a terrorist act.
The "authorities" have lost all their credibility.
The first thing they claim after a terrorist act is always "it was no terrorist act" and they keep quite of the Arab origin of the terrorist and his muslim religion.
In this case
The suspect had a knife. They do not mention his ethnic origin nor his religion.
Logic conclusion: He is of Arab origin and his religion is muslim
The authorities have lost all credibility based on what? Please give some examples.
The man is caucasian and local media suggested he suffers from mental health issues. Logical conclusion: he's German and suffers from mental health issues.

If someone has been dead for a period of time, is it still possible for the body to show marks inflicted post mortem?

Good point. I'm not sure. When the heart stops then maybe bruises are no longer visible. In fact, if it was red that i saw in the video (it's hard to tell) then it could have just as easily been bloodstains.

I think pegman, KKK and co are posting about two different points: buying securities from scammers and going to bars/restaurants potentially owned by scammers. In the latter case it would be anal to check in advance; in the former it would be common sense.
EDIT: KKK this is the flying club that pegman is taking of

I often wonder what some of the old timers from my area of London would of made of these new crimes/scams? People like the Krays. Roy shaw. The hunts or tibbs families from Canning Town. Would they of approved of robbing pensioners of life savings?
I reckon they probably would just move in and take over
I think like this too when I hear of these gangs being referred to as "gangsters". To me they are just lightweights that could not operate in their home countries. They choose Thailand because it is one of easiest places in the world to become a criminal.

Do you see that curvy symbol at the end of my sentence? (there's another one). It's makes what comes before it a question.
And what's your reply then, just low-information miscomprehension times a drive-by lame attempt to shoot me down.
Calm down, mate. I was only pointing out the inconsistency in what you wrote (question mark or not). Even your second post seems inconsistent given that your first post was itself a 'drive-by attempt' at speculators.
I already posted what I think above. I believe this is suicide just as it has been assumed. All that's missing is a motive, which is not unusual at this stage and will likely come to light soon.

In case you missed it, Mr. Drummond fled for the sake of the safety of his family.
Hi, I'm aware of this. I check his Facebook page every week or two and read his site before it was blocked. Someone in another thread described AD as "amateur" but I bet he's uncovered more corruption in Thailand than the rest of the MSM combined.

Highlighting corruption in Thailand doesn't make a single bit of difference to those involved in, nor seemingly to the population of the country who reside in it. Its worse than ever, and yet the masses chomp on their daily meals and barely bat an eyelid. Until that changes, don't expect the local population to even notice this as news.
I think you're right for the most part. It will not change anything domestically. Corruption here seems to be accepted as a way of life. But it will have a negative effect on foreign investment. This case effectively says that even with the correct legal paperwork, you can still lose your investment, and, if you expect help from your own country's media, then we have a law to suppress that too.

There's nothing stopping then announcing one of theirs has been nicked and is contesting the charges with their support.
Drummond will no doubt fill in the gaps.
Andrew Drummond already has and those involved in the case also chipped in on his Facebook page. The BBC don't have much to gain from announcing this but could risk being accused of bias or trying to influence the case. It has been covered by the Guardian and Yahoo and probably many other media outlets, so it will not go unnoticed. On the contrary, as others have rightly noted, this case will be huge own goal for Thailand.

Agreed, usual low-information speculation. You think there's no way for a railway employee with a master key to get into one of these bathrooms?
Isn't your second sentence also "low-information speculation"?

It wouldn't be appropriate for the BBC to cover this as it concerns them and is still ongoing.

Obviously, the crime scene is complicated and a thorough autopsy with a detailed investigation of the crime scene will provide answers regarding her death. But the RTP already suspects suicide that will likely influence the direction and thoroughness of their investigation, ie., quickly close the case as solved.
It's very difficult to see this as anything but suicide IMO. If she had "fallen" from her condo balcony I would be more suspicious but being behind a locked door makes foul play seem unlikely. All that is missing is her motive and that will likely become clear once she's been identified and friends are family are found.

The woman was clothed and had "signs of lacerations to her right wrist."
No mention of red marks around her waistline that would not have been exposed.
But it does seem her body was blocking the door if she really hung herself from the door handle.
I was referring to the video, not the report. There appears to be red marks around her waist and stomach which could be the result of the break in. A body slumped behind the door with feet flush against the opposite wall could make entering very difficult. The 30 minutes were likely spent pushing the door which could have caused further damage to her body.

"It took half an hour for railway staff to break in, according to Col. Songklod Pattanawaraporn of Noppawong Railway police."
I think the fact that it took 30 minutes to break in means that it wasn't a simple latch or the type of bathroom latch that can be unlocked from the outside (this type are normally found on domestic rather than public doors).
Actually, the 30 minutes to break in was likely because the body was jamming the door. This might explain what appears to be red marks around the woman's waistline.

Thanks elviajero. In that case, I think I will just call them in advance.

when people refer to door locks they normally mean something that requires a key - code or card to open - toilet doors are generally none of these and are very simple to lock and unlock from the outside using a small coin etc, there is also the option of climbing over the door
you can always call it what you want - that is entirely up to you, I personally would not be coming to any conclusion based on a simple toilet door latch

Does anyone know if Thai visa offices will accept proof of onward travel with a date equal to the visa duration plus 30 days (based on getting an extension)? This will be for a SETV from Penang.
I'm guessing they do not, but happy to be wrong.

What is the appropriate word for a gene which has received some random change? I was not intending to be derogatory in any way. In fact I found an article that was recommended to be very educational.
Mutation is the common name. Mistake or defect would be fine when talking about a single cell that splits in two and leads to a DNA mismatch due to a copying error. But defect makes no sense at species level because it implies that there is some specification or upfront design to follow, which isn't true.

Yes, this is well-known paradox that is addressed in the article I linked to above (hint hint).

We don't know for sure... it could be they thought it was locked but her body was blocking the door. Thais are just not thorough which is why there is all this speculation. It probably was suicide and she thought of it as her 'last journey' last jab of heroin knowing she would collapse and the rope did the rest but we don't KNOW and we don't trust the BIB to be thorough so it is what it is.
RiP the young girl - waste of young life
The news reports are often poor and inconsistent too. However, this does not seem controversial:
"Railway cleaners at Hualampong Station got a nasty shock yesterday afternoon when they fetched a key to open a toilet door that was locked on the inside."
I think they would have applied pressure to the door before going for the key. Regardless, if it was only her bodyweight blocking the door what use would a key be? They would still have the same problem they had before going for the key.

I think the problem is that if a man says that he identifies as a woman, then he can use the female toilets.
I read a news report where a man who appeared totally male claimed that he identified as a woman, and therefore he could use the female toilets.
Believe it or not, there are 'straight' men out there who would love to exploit this legislation and claim their right to enter a female toilet for purposes other than taking a pee.
There are definitely some things where the costs outweigh the benefits - gun ownership in the USA would be an obvious example. However, I don't think transgender people using the ladies toilets is one. You can also note that Thais mainly use this system without any real issues.

U.S. Democrats pick Perez to lead party against Trump

Socialism and Communism are distinct. To lump them together shows a misunderstanding of both.
Regardless, did you ever consider what Trump's policies actually were? He is forcing companies to use more expensive American workers. The result is that American produced goods will be more expensive for American consumers. Effectively, the rich will subsidise the poor, which is essentially welfare capitalism and not a million miles from Socialism.
