The Aerox is just a step up .. faster acceleration smoother ride (got the R version with extra shock). The wheels are wider its not that much bigger but it certainly is a much smoother ride. There is also more storage space i like that too. Now that i got PCX mirrors on it its a bit wider as my old 135 but my field of vision has improved a lot.
Only reason I upgraded was because i sold my big bike and i got a bit tired of my 135 being a non fuel injection one. This meant some days (after a while of not using it) it was hard to start.
That is because you use Gasahol, use real benzine and your problem will be gone.

Remove the center stand!
How stupid???????????

Type R is the best in my opinion, looks great, rides well and doesn't have all the unnessary electronic gadgets to go wrong, I enjoy mine.

Just look at the thing! It's bigger than the actual bike, comes from a Soviet era mining truck, and must weigh 190 kilograms!
who cares too useful to remove??? checking oil levels etc etc. looks the same as the one on my old PCX, would never remove.

Are you thinking of getting an after market pipe?
And getting rid of the center stand?
Would probably save almost 10kg by removing them. :D
Why on earth would you remove the centre stand, far too useful.

I rented the R version.
Pros:
• Great acceleration
• Quiet in the city
Cons:
• Uncomfortable seat, not for long rides
• The shock dampers are stiff
• Not enough space for knees
• After ½ hour driving in the city and 5 minutes on the 7 I had pain in my lower back.
A foreigner who I know and has a rental shop and has 4 ABS versions had warned me that he had lots of problems with the Aerox.
He gave me a NMAX ABS for an hour free of charge and it was way more comfortable

I find mine very comfortable, much better than my old PCX.

You mean sit on the back (otherwise known as passenger seat?)
No

"Racing" suspension may even be stiffer than the normal one....
It's a noble experiment
I'm about your weight and the aerox feels too cramped around the knee area
I didn't even know the suspension was crap but that sounds really bad because if it can't handle just you... Imagine you had a passenger...
I am 5 11 and there is plenty of leg room, sit on the seat properly! the type R suspension is great so much better than the PCX, just avoid the pot holes, simple really?

What price are people paying or being quoted for the R model recently? I am looking to buy one in Chiang Mai, best price I have seen so far is 67,900B out the door. Surprisingly that is from the Yamaha dealer in old city, which I thought might have been the most pricey?
A few months ago in Loei Type R 68000 on the road, mine yellow and black, lovely little bike 100% better than my previous PCX

Sorry mate don't want to argue with you but the R model doesn't that's the only reason I didn't buy the R because it didn't have the ABS so I've just put the suspension shocks for 4500 baht then the Weaver discs for 1100 baht...anyway take a photo of your bike and let me see.... by the way is your bike a remote control or is it a key model.
It is an R model , one of the first, it has abs and no stupid remote key.

Sorry but you are so wrong, Aerox is so much better than an overpriced PCX it handles so much better, I have had both and would never buy another PCX. and 20000 is only a little bit more???

That thing that hits the knee of tall people - can it be removed?
If they sit on it correctly it will not touch their knee, No it cannot be easily removed, you would have to cut it off, but sit on it correctly and NO problem. I am 5 11 and have at least 2 inches to spare!

Really, my Honda CRF250L would not start after 2 monts with the gasahol crap sold here, took it to dealer, they drained the tank refilled with fresh and started immediately, never use gasahol in any 2 stroke here and seals will die in days not weeks, maybe the gasahol you had was not Thai derived.
