For my whole life, after I quit "Sunday School "I have firmly believed that ALL religions have been created by "pecuniary interests " as yet another way to control those of the world who are poor, uneducated, etc. As a previous opinion noted, most, if not all , human conflict ,has been a(and continues to be) a result of religious beliefs inflicted on poor people by manipulation

When I was living in Aussie N.T. there were no speed limits outside of built-up areas. I had a Suzuki TLS 1000. The best I saw on the clock was 260 kph.

I'd also bet the first one who agreed to break ranks and turn on his meter would be dealt with rather harshly by the others.
Easy to blame it on the drivers, but they're just the public face of a system that's rotten to the core.
I have not used a taxi in Thailand for about 15years. They don't want me. I certainly don't want them. Hey, the bus service is so good.

I fancy the theory that, like most things here, a portion of the funds, instead of buying the necessary ingredients to properly construct roads, goes into somebody's pocket.
