  1. That’s strange. He replied with the exact same extract as Thailand Ryan. Is he now also part of the ‘COVID-denying brigade offering oversimplified, distorted interpretation of reality’ ?
  2. Good to see a few news stories making the headlines re Children’s education including the boycotting of ‘online studying’ putting more pressure on for a reopen. A year lost indeed.
  3. Another positive step. Things changing all the time.
  4. Another review in the UK in 10 days so let’s see if there’s a change then. Don’t know how often the US/EU review their guidelines. There is also a few months and a review every 3 weeks in between now and when most will want to travel so a lot can change either way in that time as we all know.
  5. Looks very likely with the success of the vaccination rollout and the number of new cases dropping. The opening of provinces announced in the past few days shows their intent and although at this time there are still conditions in place, I would predict that some will be removed if the data keeps showing favourably.
  6. Interesting article, thanks for sharing. I think the opening paragraph is worth noting : ‘The program is, at this time and subject to change, based on a “bubble and seal” standard operating platform,’ Things can change very quickly here as we all know.
  7. Latest Vaccination data. 13% now double jabbed. At current rates 70% precisely to be fully vaccinated by mid December. Seems the current plans for opening up are all coming together if they can meet this target. Be interesting to see if places like the UK will remove Thailand from its red list in the coming weeks in time for Xmas/NY, and in light of the fantastic vaccination efforts. https://covidvax.live/en/location/tha
  8. Some good data posted. Thanks for sharing. Nice to see a different perspective with real numbers.
  9. 13% now I believe goi g by latest data. Jabbing away at a rate of knots. At current rates predicted to have 70% of population fully vaccinated by mid December https://covidvax.live/en/location/tha
  10. The flippant comment was from yourself…….. “Most Thais don't want more foreigners here other than on holiday.” ……when you can have no idea what most Thais want . That is a fact.
  11. Be patient. I’m sure the detail will follow, much as it has recently much to the disappointed of the doubters. There is no immediate hurry asthe vast majority of tourists will be planning for Xmas / new year, particularly the Pattaya be gone crowd as always. Not everyone books months in advance and with the current situation even more so. ‘Learning to live with Covid’ seems to be the message and o would expect a lot of these restrictions to be gone by ok Xmas.
  12. Excellent news. Let’s get them tourists back for the high season.!
  13. Watch this space. Phuket is not the mainland of Thailand, and yes it is recognised as ridiculous Place it in the file along with all the other things that were not supposed to happen this year.
  14. As the OP states, 92% of people in BKK have at least one jab so won’t be long before they meet that criteria, if not already. Other Provinces will already be ready. As you rightly say, those that are more concerned about themselves than their children’s education can choose to keep them wrapped up at home playing on their phones.
  15. Dodging the question again. Just say you don’t know, it’s far easier than just making wild assumptions. Even our own experts don’t know the answer to everything, it’s allowed.
  16. Speaking of deflection ‘Just about every other province’ means nothing. In which Provinces are teachers still waiting to be vaccinated?
  17. Firstly there are plenty of scratched records posted daily on here, coincidently mainly played in the same order. Secondly, where are these Provinces where the teachers are still waiting? I’m sure now the green light is on those who have not already been vaccinated will be prioritised, unless they are waiting and picking and choosing what vaccines they want of course which may be an excuse for staying at home a bit longer.
  18. Must be a tad disheartening for the doom platoon predictors who were posting that everything would be shut down til 2023, vaccines were going run out, couldnt possible inject in region of a million/day, infections were gonna spiral, bla bla, , ………to see everything coming back together piece by piece. Ostrich indeed, I wonder where its head is buried now.
  19. Exactly. If the parents want to keep their little soldiers wrapped up in cotton wool then fine, otherwise let those who care about their education have the opportunity to get them back to school and get things back to normal.
