Yes, as I said. It is on the amber group of countries in the UK so not deemed any more risky than the likes of Germany, Sweden and many many more. -

Clearly many 000’s disagree with you and did, despite the restrictions re quarantine. So once they are lifted I would expect many will continue to choose Thailand as their holiday destination. Using the UK as an example. Thailand still remains in the amber list so no panic currently going on from there, and no negative euphoria telling their citizens to stay away. So I would expect them to arrive on mass for Xmas/New Year as always. -
Accepted.

More positive news. Should keep the vaccination targets on schedule and not delay the reopening. -
No that’s not what I said, but carry on waffling …………..and thank you.

In some cases he has a point. Also the extreme negativity and distorted information expressed in some quarters should be eradicated to prevent unnecessary anxiety.

Despite the scepticism, due to its undoubted success it’s only a matter of time before the quarantine is reduced and the scheme is extended to a wider audience as part of the reopening. -

Phuket Sandbox, over 19000 visitors, 52 foreign infections, less than 0.3%……and guess what? Some people still want to poo poo it and will find anyway possible to put a negative slant. So in answer to your question, yes they have every right and with successful figures like that, why not? Numerous other examples, 500,000 doses given, oh they must be lying, can’t sustain it, gonna run out soon, its only Sinovac so it shouldnt count, ???? bla bla bla. Infection cases drop, oh it’s easy to make up the numbers and manipulate. Death rates increase, oh it’s because they can’t fudge them. Any good news is treated with scepticism, mainly only bad news is accepted as real. Of course only my opinion for someone with an optimistic outlook on life. Of course the other view will be it’s not realistic and their views are correct. Never understood why so many Thais call foreigners whingers do you ????? Each to their own. -

Must be out of date as the UK has reached 75% now. Edit: see now up to the 9th. Also worth noting how Thailand has progressively climbed up the group over the past few months from being bottom of the pile in March. -

Correct. You have no idea how many they have on hand as nor do I. You guess they will run out, I doubt they will. Just another glass half empty/glass half full scenario. No problem with that. -

Yes people who are fully vaccinated will be more than happy to holiday here in the high season once it opens up, such as those from the UK where Thailand still sits in the amber zone so no quarantine on return. The fact that it was not upgraded to red will reassure many it’s safe to come. Not everyone lives in fear thankfully.- 192 replies
