  1. Many places can make a copy, as mentioned above, but it's not cheap here either.
  2. Anothai Pornlert. She is there Tue, Thurs, Sun for a couple hours in the morning and an hour in the afternoon. You will have to check. The hospital has other ENTs when she is not there, but I have no experience with them.
  3. There's a fairly large pizzeria in Nimman called Pizza My Heart (or Pizza Your Heart). They have good stuff. However I wouldn't care to judge if it's better than Dukes or not. Try it out, let us know your opinion.
  4. You consider a restaurant that serves food cooked 3 hours earlier good? You obviously enjoy eating crap. Well there's a lot of it in Chiang Mai, so go for it. Another poster mentioned an evening setting. I haven't been to it, maybe it's decent food.
  5. Huen Phen in the old city offers pre-prepared food from a buffet like setting. Something like that shouldn't even be considered amongst decent restaurants. It's cold food, looks unappealing, and is just slapped on to the table.
  6. Sorry, I can't find it now! It was on the computer, not phone, and something like 'send calls to phone '. Maybe it will appear when I link Voice to a phone number again.
  7. Thanks everyone for the info. As to the setting above, I had already set it. The problem was another setting which was causing Voice to try and use a mobile number. Even Voice Help did not mention it. There are so many different settings these days that it's hard to get them right sometimes. Anyway, that one little change did it and I was able to call directly from Voice.
  8. Thanks for the reply. However I am not new to Voice - I have been using it for 15-20 years. People here have said that they called with Voice from Thailand. They didn't mention if they have a real phone in the US also. Because I cannot call directly from Voice - it wants to connect to a real mobile phone. This has always been the case, when I visit the US I have to get a phone line first. This is what I was curious about. Since it was not mentioned if Voice connected to a real phone. If there is some way of calling from Voice directly I would like to know it.
  9. As noted by someone the OP was a reproduction. However it raises some questions for me based on the posts here. The first is about Google Voice - people say you can call from it while based in Thailand but if that is the case can someone please add the procedure here. I can connect to Voice with my computer, but in order to call it wants to use a local US number. Which I don't have because I live here. If this is not correct please let me know. And if there is a way around it, that would be helpful to know. As for the gentleman who claims the Facebook post was false, he is full of it. The post mentions fraudulent use, and it's a whole other ballgame when that happens. Besides, 6/7 years ago procedures were different, less stringent.
  10. From Facebook: Bank America Card A heads up - if you lose your Bank of America credit card, or someone tries fraudulent use, you won't be able to get a replacement while overseas. I called the bank and they want me to call from my home number, which is impossible when I am overseas. They say it is to protect you, actually they are taking extreme measures to protect themselves. I am going to DUMP this card. Best not to depend on a card like this.
  11. To the posters above: Those are not frills, they are essentials in a medical office, and have been for decades. And I went to McCormick, where the lady was much more articulate, and appeared more knowledgeable. However...if you believe in someone that won't easily change.
  12. Not really. It was just more of the same item.
  13. I haven't done any Amazon-ing from Thailand, hence my tax question. When I order 1 item, cost about $20, Amazon does not charge Thai tax, but there is a delivery charge. When I increase the purchased amount to $35-40, there is no delivery charge, but I have to pay tax. I thought Thai tax kicked in after 1500 baht, and $35 is way less. Any thoughts? Tricks? Way around?

I ended up going to a place called Perfection Car Audio, based on a recommendation I read. It's near Big C there. Cost 700 to hard wire it in. Would have been 400 to plug into cigarette lighter socket. Guy seemed to know what he was doing, and the woman knew enough English to explain some of the wifi connections. I will have to play with it a bit to get to know it, though.
  15. Maybe he is good, but I didn't see any evidence of it. I did see that he has no modern equipment. He uses spirit lamps and implements that seem to be imported from a witch doctor 's hut. He didn't even have an x-ray viewer. I took a film and he took it outside and peered at it against some light. This was a couple of years ago. If he has modernized since then - my apologies in that case.
