  1. Ohh lord. Countries start tracking me? Get over yourself.
  2. Thanks for the reply. My thinking is that they can not use their new passport until they get their now Laos visa and entry stamps transfered to the new passport. Here in Thailand I just pop down to the local immigration and they change over passports and put a stamp in it. Can the same be done at a immigration office in Vientiane?
  3. Yes other countries are different. There old passport hadn't expired yet so the were still able to use it. They should of changed passports at immigration before leaving Thailand but they didn't know. Now there trying to find out if they could do it at an immigration office in Vientiane .
  4. Very informative thanks
  5. Hi guys. I have a friend who went to Vientiane on a visa run to get a tourist visa. They have both new and old passport and want to get the visa in the new passport. They entered Laos using the old passport instead of coming in using the new one. Will the Thai embassy except a new passport with no stamps or can they go to the immigration office in loas and change over passports? Thanks for any advice.
  6. Visa runs are not illegal. If it was illegal they wouldn't let people back into the country. Visa runs are most definitely legal.
  7. Yes pre COVID it was easy to do with very little problems apart from the odd warning stamp in your passport. Now it's very difficult to do.
  8. Good man thanks for the help.
  9. I'm trying to help a friend out he's the one with the issue. He was able to fly into Thailand with his old passport with a 60 day tourist visa. Can he get his 30 day extension in his old passport?
  10. Hi,can you still use your old passport after a new passport has been issued? The old passport still has 4 months before expire date. Old passport has a visa exempt entry in it and looking to get a 30 day extension. Thanks.
  11. Thanks for your help. Appreciate it.
  12. I've been to 3 schools and there's no mention of me having to leave and go to Vientiane. They said I don't need to leave.
  13. Good man thanks. The school has said I got to pay 5000 every 90 days at immigration, seems steep I thought all extensions inside of Thailand cost 1900?
  14. Yes I seen that advertised a while back. If there was one in Pattaya 8d be interested.
  15. Thats probably true. I was quoted some crazy prices for an education visa without lessons.
  16. As I said I'm going to a legitimate school and not through an agent. Yes I will be attending classes,as I'd be very silly not attending classes after paying alot of money.
  17. Hi, looking for information on education visas. I'm applying for an education visa at a legitimate language school and a bit worried about a load of COVID extensions in my passport. The school says it won't be a problem but I'll be loosing alot of money if my visa gets rejected. Any info would be much appreciated.thanks.
  18. Would having a history of COVID extensions effect an application for an education visa at a legitimate school?
  19. Ive been to embassy in Vientiane 3 times with a fresh passport and have never been asked to show my old one. New tourist visa each time no problem.
  20. Yes but if u fly into Kuala Lumpur, then the train to the Thai/Malay border.
  21. Does the balance need to show just 20,000 on the day of applying or not under 20,000 for the past 3 months?
  22. In my own experience I've always found it better to cross at pedang bessar, there's 2 crossing points . 1 is for foot traffic and vehicles and the other and better option is the immigration check point used by train passengers.
  23. If you have been here for more than 6 months this company says they can't take you along for the visa run. New rules since may they told me. That's all I was told.
